Was looking for a car on Saturday and after stopping at many dealers we stopped at russ Darrow. I told them I wanted the best bang for my buck. I got an awesome deal and I was able to drive it home that day. I give them 4 stars on the sale. Where the two stars come from is after a rain storm two days after we bought the car we learned it leaked. We are not talking a little leak but a leak that dripped all over the power door and ran down the side of the door frame on the inside. I called the body shop the next morning. They told me I needed to go to service first. I asked if I needed an appointment he told me no someone can quickly look and then will send me to them if they can't fix it. I drive the hour long trip and the service guy told me I needed an appointment. I told them the guy at the body shop told me to come in. I wasn't leaving without my car getting looked at because we are expecting rain the next two days. This jerk told me it didn't rain here and I said I'm not sure if it did but I live in Sheboygan county and it poured there. I tried to show him a picture and he seemed bothered by it. He finally told me he would get to it sometime that day but had no clue then. I walked over got the sales manager who helped me purchase the car and he went back to service told them either look at it now or give me a rental on him and let me go home. They all the sudden had time to look at it and were very accommodating. The windshield leaked and had to be replaced and they couldn't do it till the next day. I asked for a rental and they were going to charge me and park the car outside after talking to the service guy he agreed to a free rental and they would tape the car where it leaked but it would still be parked outside. I decided to just take the car home where it could be kept in a garage. Next day I drove there and it was actually nice. Glass company came right away but with the wrong windshield no big deal as accidents happen and I was told right away. I got it fixed and left happy. The loan wasn't done the way I wanted it with my daughter as primary and me as a co signer so when I went to insure it my insurance company looked at the loan and they were able to beat the loan interest and put my daughter as primary. I called Russ Darrow and so did State Farm multiple times but financing never called you back. I left message after message with no response. I called landmark credit union and they told me they were waiting on documents from Russ Darrow and even sent them requests for some info they needed to do loan paperwork. I went down to landmark told them Russ Darrow wouldn't call me back showed her the dates and times I called and not sure what she did but within 24 hours she had the payoff amount faxed to State Farm. As I said for car sales my experience I would give Russ Darrow 4 stars. For the service 2 stars as the guy was an jerk at first  but changed his tune once sales manager spoke with him. Customer service once you bought the car and need to talk to someone 0 stars because they figure their job is done and don't think ahead of you ever sending business their way or coming back to buy again. I left 6 messages and never got a call back.. Poor customer service

Since buying my car I've left messages for my dealer for a call back as I had questions. Nothing. It's been 6 weeks. I'd stop by if I were not so busy. No calls from George. Not so great after all. I guess you never know what you'll get till you get it. Jeep makes great trucks. Russ Darrow made buying one a poor experience- too bad. I'll definitely be trading in my Jeep to a better dealership in a few years. Till then I'll be sure to tell everyone I know Russ Darrow is a mistake you'll regret.

My wife and I recently read an add for a particular vehicle we were shopping for. I called ahead of time and gave them the stock number to find out if they had it in stock. The lady on the phone stated they did have it in stock and they also had others of the same model to look at. So we drove 30 minutes to this dealership to check it out. I was told to see "Mark" upon our arrival. He was the sales manager. I thought this was odd since the one I spoke to on the phone stated she was a sales person yet she was handing off the sale to someone else. I should have known, that if meeting with the sales manager was not a good idea, since they are always busy with the sales guys rather than helping customers.
So, someone greeted us and said he would find a salesman to help us. We waited 10 minutes before they could find someone. (This is a Saturday. There should be enough sales people to help you) Once the guy came he was very nice and helpful and we told him what we were looking for, but he couldn't get us to the vehicle until he checked with his sales manager. We waited around another 10 minutes before he came back and stated they didn't have the vehicle and they didn't have any other vehicles for that particular model. Not only did the lady on the phone lie about having the one in stock but also about all the other ones they had of the same model for us to look at. Then they tried to get us to look at other vehicles that we were not interested in looking at.
This kind of deception makes me so mad. It was a waste of time driving down to the dealership and also waiting around for them to get the information on the car. I will never work with them again if they cannot be honest with us from the beginning. This is the kind of dealership that gives all others a bad name. Don't go to Russ Darrow.

Zakk my salesperson was great.  The support behind him was down right poor.  Zakk and I agreed on a price but Russ Darrow didn't have the car.  They had 2 cars they were going to buy to fulfill my request.  Both of these cars got bought before they could purchase them.  The process was dragging along slower than they promised so I asked if I could get my deposit back and move on.  I talked to Dave who said they could get a car by the next week.  I waited and the car they got was sold to me for $600 higher than the price we agreed on.  Dave wouldn't reply to any of my inquiries and didn't help Zakk out at all.  I wouldn't recommend Russ Darrow to anyone as they won't honor the price you agreed upon with the salesperson.  I am very disappointed and wish I was able to get my desposit back to go to a more stand up place.

I took my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee into Russ Darrow because my transmission was not shifting properly. I received a quote back from Russ Darrow that stated that the tranny had to be rebuilt and a few other "problems" that "had" to be addressed, the quote amounted to over $1,200.

Because of the cost, I decided to take the vehicle back to my go-to service center back home, Matthews Tires in Appleton and get a second opinion. They quoted me $52 dollars for parts and labor, because the transmission fluid hose was leaking and needed replacement. Matthews fixed the hose, refilled the fluid reservoir and the truck has been running flawless, all transmission problems have been fixed. This repair took place in Nov of '13.

Before you trust Russ Darrow to do any repair. I'd highly recommend getting a 2nd opinion. I will not be returning any business to Russ Darrow. If I could give 0 stars I would.
