Stopped in to the parts department for a "simple" item (getting a spare key).  Waited and waited for the parts counter rep, but to no avail... decided to leave and come back a bit later.  Second trip in (about an hour or so later) parts guy was at the counter and assisted us... Got key cut... was handed key and we checked the key, and it DIDN'T WORK... guy offered to recut key... but we waited about 20 mins already. I opted to just leave and get refund and had figured I would go else where for the key I needed.  After discussion with family member, who convinced me to call dealership and talk to a manager... She made call on my behalf, and within an hour the owner of the dealer made a call to apologize for the issue we had.  First impression NOT good, but second impression... = AWESOME... GREAT... COULD NOT BE MORE IMPRESSED... from a simple purchase that the company would be as stand up as this over such a miniscule purchase... DEFINETLY will trust them to work on my car in future... since they went ABOVE & BEYOND to resolve this issue...

I bought a brand new 2013 Kia Soul in late 2012 from Rosen Kia. The car was everything I wanted, and I love it, although the process of getting the car was a huge hassle.

Before the 2013's were available, I was on a waiting list of a 2012 Soul with the features I wanted. I was told that I could use a loaner car until one was available, but once I explained that I would be purchasing this through my Credit Union, and not through the dealership, there was no longer a loaner car I could use.

After over a month of no car, the first 2013's arrived and I showed up to sign the paperwork. One thing that was not explained to me was the 'environmental' package, an add-on that cost over $1000. After doing some additional research and determining I didn't want this, I asked for a refund. Our sales person stated the refund would be sent to the Credit Union, although that never happened. The story has changed a few times, but the end result is no refund, and no product. He won't even return my e-mails and phone calls. When I spoke to a manager, they offered an additional extended warranty instead, but then stated that a refund would be issued. Still no refund.

The end result is that I'm happy with the car, and I'm done with Rosen. I feel that my experience has been misleading and manipulative, and I'll never go back.

Absolutely the worst car buying experience I could have had.  I am jaded for life!  There were signs from the begining that this purchase was going downhill (I ignored them because I had previously bought 2 cars from rossen nissan and was happy). We were very clear with the sales person on what our budget was and after hours and plenty of trips down to the dealer he assured us that they had many discounts and rebates that would put us at our price point.  Too perfect, because we didnt qualify for any of them.  So the finance guy makes us out to be the bad guys, like we were trying to rip them off.  Now 3 months later after signing the contract I have yet to receive and accurate bill from KIA.  Due to some misunderstanding between the dealership who has been very slow to help us or return any calls I am the one paying the price and so is my credit score.  Dont bother calling them, unless you want unanswered messages.  Even after speaking to one of the owners, he couldnt have cared less or gotten me out of his office any faster.  These aholes got a 2 car deal from me and now leave me hanging high and dry when it comes to fixing their own mistake.  Theres been plenty of issues but the worst is to sign a contract and be the only one who tries to honor it.  These guys just have $$$ in mind and dont care if you are happy at the end of the deal.

Oh car dealers, you evil bastards.  Purchasing our last car was like pulling teeth.  We were jerked around by several dealers and unimpressed with so many places.  Dealing with Rosen Kia was a little different.  The actually negotiation was great.  The sales guy was awesome.  He didn't BS us much.  In all honestly, it didn't even feel like he cared or not to sell the car.

Finishing the deal was a little hairy.  The finance guy was a bit of an ass and we almost had to walk out to get the APR we were originally promised.  But, when all was said and done we got the right car at the right price with good financing.  

(And just for the record, from my three stars for a car dealer is high.  Most everyone else gets one.  I hate car dealers)
