History

Established in 1923.

Oscar Braeger returned from the war and started a Chevrolet dealership with Jim King in 1923, and King-Braeger was born!  Later, King went on to start up his own Chevy dealership so Oscar changed the name to simply...Braeger Chevrolet.

His son, Robert, took over the daily operations in the '50's and then his son in law, Todd Reardon, took over daily operations in the '90's.

Todd has since grown the business by adding Braeger Ford, Braeger Auto Sales of Franklin and Braeger Auto Sales of Greenfield.

Reviews on Braeger Automotive Group

John Studt did an excellent job of finding a Ford Transit Connect wagon for me.   He worked hard to find me a vehicle that had the equipment I wanted. [The only thing he might have done better was find the solar color--but that's a small thing.]  John also kept in communication with me and sent me info on Transits available.  There were a few last minute items he needed that I had not been told about--but it was Ford Co that wanted these items, not John.  But these last minute items really added stress to the whole purchase process; I should have been told ahead of time they might have been needed.  To get these items was a real cluster fuck.   I don't know that I will use Ford for my tuneups & oil changes, but over all I am pleased.

... and so the pendulum swings, and for every yin there must be a yang.

Carrie G had it right: the right and left hands here seem to not be operating of the same origin... at least, insofar as my previous experiences went. This go around, however, it was all easy breezy beautiful, hence the positive swing of the review pendulum. You're back up to four stars, Braeger Automotive Group! Let's hope it all stays this way and every experience is nice and easy and golden and I never, ever have to review Braeger again.

Scott in the service department: ... nice and easy to communicate with. Got my car fixed and out in a flash. Would recommend.

Doug the guy who sold me my car: ... followed up just to ensure that the service department did so after he contacted them about my issue. Would recommend. (I still need a second key for my car though, Doug. I know it has to be laser printed at a Mazda dealer, but I ain't got time for that. You know. It's cool.)

My aftermarket warranty was honored and a desperately needed fix was a piece of cake. Why couldn't all of my experiences at Braeger have been this easy?

A nice, new waiting room and complimentary Diet/Cokes and waters and coffee were available to boot, as well as free wi-fi. (That alone is worth at least one additional star, no?)

A word of advice: streamline the intake on your service center/create a how-to sign/where to go sign, or something. It's kind of confusing.

Above and beyond satisfied with my service at Braeger Ford. I wasn't planning on purchasing a new vehicle but life came along and I was in need of a new car much soon than planned. I knew I would need to bring my 2 year old with me to the dealership, which is a nightmare for anyone who has ever done that, but they made the search, test drive, financing and trade in the easiest experience I have ever had!
I purchase  2013 Ford Explorer Limited and did my research on the price. Their prices was not being beat by anyone within a 100 mile radius. I am sure that fact I received an amazing price helped with my experience but the sales team and finance team were truly amazing.
Make sure when you head over there have sales rep Nick S. Take care of you.

Thanks Jason. I don't live in the area anymore but with this internet thing, the world is my backyard. If my next car search includes your dealership, I will check in again.

Very similar experience as Ben P. Initially brought the car in for the Groupon oil change and inspection. Power Steering was leaking and after an hour and a half in the wait room (for an oil change) the service rep came out to tell me that they need to see what was causing the leak and it'd be $60 just to look and another 20 min. Ended up waiting another hour before he came bak out and told me there was a leak in the hose. Gave me a quote. Already having spent half the day there I told them not to fix it right then. Took it to another auto mechanic whom I've used many times before and he looked at the hoses for the leak (for free) and told me to go back to Braeger because their quote was a cheaper than what he would have to charge to replace all the hoses. Took it back to Braeger and signed a sheet for the quoted price. Waited for over an hour for the shuttle driver to take me to work since it was going to be a few hour job. Got a call while at work saying that the price was going to be a few hundred dollars more because they original quote wasn't for all the hoses. At the end of the day they called me again and said they couldn't finish working on the car and needed to keep it overnight. Leaving me unexpectedly without a ride home from work, my apartment keys, and a ride to work the next morning. When I finally was able to get my car back I let them know my dissatisfaction with the process and inconvenience I was told too bad too sad. Upon my drive home I noticed a burning smell and there was smoke coming from the power steering under the hood. They had over filled it and the overflow was burning on the hot engine.
The service here was very deceptive, slow, and poor. Did not feel like a valued customer at all. Had they been upfront about everything it could have been completely different. I do not recommend going there for maintenance at all.

Interesting how polarizing the reviews are for this place.  Seems to be rather love-hate and sadly I fall more towards the latter.

I can completely empathize with Rachel F. on getting the runaround from everyone in this Automotive Group.  The left hand has NO IDEA what the right hand does here.

Before you buy from them there will be the usual promises of great customer service and follow through, but as soon as they have your money they are no where to be found.

I found our salesperson to be the epitome of the swarmy used car salesperson stereotypes we all know too well.   He was inconsiderate of my time (I felt held captive in his office and we "waited and waited" to move to the next step in the process.   He made plenty of editorial comments about the management and overall just sent a very unsettling vibe.    Good to know others found better salesman and I drew the short straw!

Nonetheless, as soon as you drive off the lot their story changes.  They won't return your calls, or if they do they are experts as passing the buck to someone else.

My "great" sales person and his manager did not communicate with the service department, costing me an extra unplanned 90 minutes of my time for the one service visit I had.   And they did not, in any way, fix the issue I went in for, even thought it was agreed to be addressed before I picked up the car, because I delayed the pickup by over a day.

This place is so frustrating I find it a challenge to use proper grammar when talking about them, so I must just say there are many better places to buy a car and you won't have to look hard to find one.

I will make this short and sweet since I no longer own a Chevy. That is only because they do not offer what I wanted at the time I was looking.

SCOTT H. in the service department is the person to go to and I have had nothing but great experiences with Braeger for 4 years. Great job to all there.

If you are looking for an honest and helpful  place to take your car it's here at Braeger Chevrolet, Roman knows who I am and what car I have every time I call.  Personal and honest service every time. Hard to find this service these days!!!!

The service department here is outstanding! Ask for Craig or Scott for attentive customer service!
