The Internet sales sucked. They took no interest in finding me a vehicle. When I recontacted them they kept telling me that they'd get back to me. I will not buy from a place that has no interest.

I found the Ford Econoline Van I purchased advertised online.  I went to the Sheehy Ford Lincoln Richmond website and clicked on the Internet Chat with one of the sales associates, Rex Dix.  I asked him a lot of questions.  Rex gave me direct, up front answers to all of my questions (everything he said was spot on and happened exactly like his answers).  I had to travel from Maryland to Richmond, VA to test drive the van and he scheduled a convenient appointment for me.

When I got there, Rex was busy with another customer and he gave me over to the capable hands of Judd Baker.  Judd was very personable, he listened to what I was looking for, was courteous, honest, upfront and direct.  I test drove the van and we sat down to make a deal.  The entire process was painless, smooth, and honest.  I came in ready for tough negotiations with already crunched numbers in hand - and none of it was needed.

If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, You need to go to Sheehy Ford Lincoln of Richmond and ask for Rex Dix or Judd Baker.  It was the best car buying experience I have ever had!

I had a great experience at Sheehy.  I used to go to NOVA to buy cars, but Sheehy gave me a great price and they're only a couple of miles from home.  Chris Anderson was a great salesperson, he knew exactly what I was looking for and did a great job following up afterwards.  I would definitely go back to sheehy, and when I do, I'll ask for Chris Anderson.  I've been in dealerships before where it takes literally ALL DAY from morning to night to get a car picked out, bought, financed and cleaned up for delivery.  They managed it from about 1 - 5 p.m., which is pretty good timing generally for a dealership, and this was on a holiday in January when they were busy.  The service department put new tires on the Focus for me the Saturday after I bought it, and they were fast and efficient, and Chris was there to greet me and give me the floor mats i was promised.  Great service, great salesperson and I got more on my tradein (pickup truck) than Carmax offered.  I was, and remain, happy all around.

I got a great price on my 2011 Escape Limited with low mileage.  It didn't take long to reach our negotiated price and Pete Clark was GREAT.  It really felt like he was working as hard as he could for me.  I financed through Sheehy and that took some time, but finance whiz Phil did a nice job finding me a loan with a decent rate.  The only downfall was the amount of time it took to do the paperwork and get the vehicle cleaned and gassed up to go.  I was there from around 12:00 noon to at least 4:30.  However, I know that's not unheard of in car buying and I was offered the use of Pete's computer, printer, and fax machine to complete work with the insurance company.  If I'm still in the Richmond area next time I buy a car, I will definitely go to Sheehy first!
