STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!
When I was involved in a car accident, my insurance brought my car to this body shop to fix it up and I will tell you now that it was the worst 5 weeks of my life.

Week 1: When the car was first brought to this place, they said that It would be done the following Thursday. It was a reasonable time frame so I said that's fine. When Tuesday came, Richmond got hit by a storm and many places lost power. The following day I called Royal Auto and asked if my car was ok and if it was still on schedule. They said my car is still on schedule and I will have it by Thursday. Thursday came and, not only did I not get a call from them, I called them and they told me that my car was not even CLOSE to being finished. They didn't even have the part in nor did they do the paint or anything. They said they needed another week. It would be done on Wednesday.

Week 2: I called on Wednesday to get an update on my car. I assumed that everything would be completed by now. Again, not even close. All they did was describe to me that the car was in bad condition, whereas in week 1 they said it was not too bad. Long story short, it was not even close. They said they needed another week. So for a week I called back every 2 days or so to get an update. Not only are they bad at picking up, they do not return your calls. When they did pick up they ensured me that it would only take one more week to fix. At this point I was already 2 weeks in with no car and a job that required commuting. I told them about my problem and they told me that this would be the last extension.

Week 3: WRONG! Another week! I tried speaking to a manager in charge and he was pretty much as useless as the other employees. Finally, I called my insurance, told them about my situation, and had them deal with Royal. Royal FINALLY called me back without me having to leave them a bunch of voicemails (Oh I wonder why...). They told me that my car would be ready in a week and that they are making progress. After a whole week of calling my insurance and Royal to get updates, Royal told me...you guessed it! they need another week.

Week 4: By this time I was furious. I was on the verge of getting fired because I could not go to work. Long story short after many many phonecalls Royal finally told me I could get my car. I got my car, left the body shop and I notice, every time a hit a bump, something rattles under my car. This was not there before Royal "fixed" my car.

Overall: This place is terrible. Service is horrible and they don't care about you nor do they care about your car. I will not return even if this is the last body shop in the world.
