Reviews on Infiniti Tim Dahle

Service department is way over-priced and leaves me wondering if they even do what they charge for.

60k mile service was quoted as being $1,325.  Other dealers are about half that price.

I took my car in and they asked if I'd like my tires rotated.  I said yes.  Most places do that for free.  This place charged me $25 and when I went and looked at the wheels, they hadn't been rotated.  I knew where the wheels were because I place a mark on them so I can remember and they hadn't been rotated.

It makes me wonder if they other things they've charged me to do were even done?

I have been an Infiniti owner for several years.  Great cars but they have terrible representation here in Salt Lake.  The salesman I dealt with (I will omit his name to spare him the embarrassment) didn't listen to me at all.  At first, we were playing the get-to-know-you game.  He asked questions, we answered.  He asked what city we lived in, so we told him.  Later in interaction, he needed my license to "put me in the system" even though I am already in there.  My license had an old address on it and he proceeded to ask how I liked living in that city as opposed to the city I already told him I live in.  This might seem like a tiny flaw but when you have worked in sales as long as I have, listening is the skill you need to have perfected.  No one likes to repeat themselves or correct bad info.  The other issue is their dealership.  There is nowhere to park and they have cars back behind some other road on a separate lot.
I was looking for a new Q50 to test drive.  I didn't care what color it was for the test drive because I just wanted to get a feel for the car itself.  Color was something I was going to discuss if I decided to buy the car. Once the sales guy found out what color I liked, he took me all over the lot and back behind it.  He walked insanely fast and I had a hard time keeping up with him.  Is that service?  No!!!! You go get the vehicle the customer wants and drive it up front for them.  Please do not take your customers on a hike all over your three lots.  Have some courtesy and LISTEN! Then the sales guy had the nerve to call me the next day and ask what time I was coming to get my new car.  Is that how you close a sale?
I wish there was another Infiniti dealership in Salt Lake that I could have gone to.  Sigh....oh well, I ended up buying a different car at a different place.  I won't be buying cars here anytime soon until maybe they have a turnover in sales staff.

I've been a customer with Tim Dahle for over 7 years.  I've faithfully taken my last 2 infiniti cars to their service department.  I purchased my second car from their sales department.  I have only had great experiences at the service department.  Chez and Vroqua are fabulous to work with.  I can not say the same for the sales department.  I recently put my car up for sale by owner.  I had a buyer interested in purchasing my car friday. He was also interested in purchasing a car at tim dahle.  The salesman told the buyer to get my vin # and he would look up my car history on his system.  Needless to say, the salesman gave the potential buyer false information and ruined the sale for me.  I believe if I was not a faithful client of tim dahle, they would not have had my information to give out.  It makes me sad to think they would throw a 7 year client "under the bus" to try and make a sale.
Monday I took my car in to tim dahle service department for an oil change.  I was told I needed to replace my rear control arms.  When I purchased my car from their sales department, I also purchased their awesome extended warranty that covers everything except maintenance issue.  When purchasing the car the salesman showed me the brochure that showed the short paragraph of the exclusions.  Chez tried everything he could to get the rear control arms to be covered under my warranty, but they denied it. The rear controls arms are covered.  But the bolts holding the rear controls arms are not and that is wear and tear.  The tiny fine print that was never shown to me explains this is not covered.
The reason for this review, I want other consumers to be aware.  Do not purchase the extended warranty at Tim Dahle Infiniti the sales person LIES!  I was lied to.  Second, all your history in the service department is open game for the salesmen to use against you if you are trying to sale your car by owner.

I attempted to buy a car from this dealership three different times.  All three times the salesman seemed to have no interest in following through with what they promised to do.  I also emailed the general sales manager and received no response.  They do have great cars, but I would suggest finding your somewhere else unless you go in with your checkbook already filled out.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to Ben in the service dept. My G35X was recently in an accident and Ben took amazing care of us and dealt with our insurance with out a hiccup. I got her back last night (within a week) and she looks amazing they even washed her and how my car got as beautiful and shiny as the brand new cars I will never know!! So I would highly recommend Tim Dale Service Dept. we will be in soon to do a fluid change. I do not think I will let anyone else touch my car again. Thanks Ben.

This is for their service department only as I have not dealt with the sales department yet.

The Service at Tim Dahle Infiniti is really reasonably priced and friendly.  I took my G35x here and they did a very good inspection and where honest with what they found and how much issues would be to fix.  Maintenance was done in a reasonable time and for long services they give you a loaner to drive around in which is nice.  My first time in and they were very helpful and even stayed a little late so I get my car back that day.  They did find some issues, but had to wait to get them fixed until I had more time (luckily I had a warranty).  Learned some lessons about used car buying for sure with my G35x.

My warranty visit was nice and they even helped car the warranty place to help get my car back quicker.  Really nice and easy to work with and prices for the service they do are really fair.  I will consider them for a new car with the great service department.  I just hope the sales staff is as good?  Will have to update if I ever buy a new or slightly used Infiniti from them.
