Typical dealership scams occured during my transaction at Rusel Felts Motor Co. in San Antonio. This is a WARNING to other potential buyers / victims.
1. If you have a trade in and have a balance owed, they will not pay off your vehicle until it sells to the next victim. If you must dance with the devil, get a contract with them stating when they will pay it off and charge them daily penalties (late fee) if they don't comply.
2, Make sure the model is what is advertised. EX, XP, Eddie Bauer, etc. They fluff the ads to show an artificial value.
3. Go over the closing / final financial documents with a calculator. The "finance manager" is mathmatically challenged. We all make mistakes...but when there are several and they all are in favor of the dealership...then these are intentional.
4. Make a surprise visit to see / test drive the vehicle you are interested in. This way there is not time for them to warm up the vehicle or prepare for your arrival / try to disguise things.
Thanks to the website like this the power is back in the hands of the customer. Helping to warn others of this run of the mill, ripoff, stealership.
Very poor service after the sale. You would think the owner would be of help since he is on site. No, he's part of the game! I will NEVER refer anyone to these bottom feeders of used vehicles.

My mom purchased her BMW 530xi from RFMC and it could not have been a better transaction! Not only was the deal sweet after searching the entire country only to find all other matching cars almost $10K higher, they were very honest in all aspects. They encouraged us to use a third party mechanic to inspect the car which we did. We used Lemon Busters who noticed a problem in the steering column. RFMC took it to a certified BMW mechanic who repaired it next day. The car was found sound in all other areas.
We also purchased the warranty package for 60months presented to us by our salesman. Before doing this we researched our insurance options with USAA and other warranty companies out there. We found their third party warranty recommendation to be the best.
Our family are saavy researchers on every purchase and that being said after months of doing homework on every car in this class/category, we are happy we found our BMW 530xi at RFMC. Would highly recommend and would do business with them again.
