Ok I have a 2014 Scion TC Leather Seats loaded paid 22,000 9 months ago low miles. Excellent Condition. So I am looking to sell it because I moving where I don't need a car. So I called Red McCombs Toyota on I-10 went down there and was offered 14,000. That is a ridiculous low offer. I looked up the NADA and KBB and it was around 18,000. These people are an absolute rip off. I would not recommend taken your car to sell or buy. I understand I was going to take a loss but not being ripped off by this dealership. Would rate them with a 0 star. Buyer or seller be aware !

I went to make service to my car and also check up some issues I had, my car returned all greasy and dirty. They told me I had to buy a new part, when I checked it myself it looked like they didn't check it properly, my part was working good and I lost money buying new part, bad service won't go there again.

As if car buying wasn't stressful enough, the shadiness and lack of customer service here made it all the more difficult. Not only are the salespeople extremely incompetent, but they like to use phrases (i.e. "out the door") to their advantage. I wish I could give them less than one star, because, let's face it, I will never return here, nor will I refer this place to my many contacts who love buying cars every so often.

I went with my boyfriend to take a look at a couple of used vehicles, since we were in the market to purchase an additional car. Firstly, looking at our possible age, the salesmen left to attend to another customer while we were sitting there waiting to be helped. When we asked to see someone else, we were denied, because we were apparently already "being helped." No, actually. We were sitting there, waiting to be helped, while our salesperson, Isaac, was busy helping another client. When they finally decided to show us vehicles, we were asked a price range and we were adamant about giving them a particular range, yet they continuously showed us vehicles much above the mentioned price range. When we told them this, they said they would work to get the price in our range, and we thought "okay, let's see where this goes." While they kept pushing for us to complete a credit application, we kept asking them for the price on the vehicle. Obviously filling out a credit application takes a hard hit, and without any potential payments and/or actual price of the car, we were wary to go further with the sale. After three to four hours of sitting in their lobby, we were given a price and an estimated payment, yet we were still wary and decided to leave.

The next couple of days, we were reciew ing multiple calls from Isaac, our so-called salesperson, telling us that he is sorry for his mistreatment and wasting our time, and that his GM has taken a "particular interest" in our case and would like us to come in for a discussion, which would inevitably involve us getting an outstanding deal. After declining a few times, we decided to check it out.

Upon getting there for the second time that week, we were indeed given an "outstanding deal," which involved Isaac and his manager going round and round in circles about telling us the actual price of the vehicle, then ended up in us realizing that their meaning of "out the door" is the actual price of the car, not including the down payment or tax, title and license. In our world, "out the door" usually includes the final price of the vehicle, including the tax, title and licensing. So, we naturally took their word and when it came down to signing the papers, we realized what they had done. After that, they denied everything that was promised and instead told us that we had "agreed" to the deal, despite having told them what we specifically meant by "out the door."

So, yes. I wouldn't recommend this dealership in a million years, to even my worst enemy. Terrible customer service, extremely shady and incompetent salespeople, and lets just say, all they do is tell you lies to make their sales commissions.

WILL. NEVER. VISIT. AGAIN.

We have purchased 4 cars at this dealership. With the last car purchase in 2009, we agreed to free oil changes for all 4 cars. Went for an oil change today and was given a letter stating that they would no longer honor the agreement for the free oil changes. The service representative was not understanding. Would not recommend this dealership. Please take your business elsewhere.

Do not buy gap nor warranty products from this dealership.  Frankly I wouldn't buy another car from these people either.
Experienced buyers already know this but its especially true for this particular dealership.
I have been trying to get my gap insurance coverage refunded due to loan payoff and surprise surprise no one at the dealership will return my calls.  I'm speaking specifically about Valente Alejandro in the Finance department.  It's bad enough I paid a few bucks shy of 700 dollars for this policy.  Now I  have to fight to get a refund.
This dealership is weak.  I received better service from the Toyota dealership in Boerne.  Yes its further but I would trust them over this dealership anyday.

So...where to begin. I researched a lot of different dealerships before I decided to go to Red McCombs. One of the main reasons I went to Red McCombs was simple, they were the first dealership that e-mailed be back. A young lady named Nancy even called me to get an idea of what I was looking for, it was very professional. Once I got to the dealership everyone was friendly (I know, it's part of the job), over all it was a long experience (I was waiting for hours), it was very busy and it seemed like they were short staffed. My car buying process started on a Thursday and it finished on Saturday it took long! The dealership staff did apologize for the long process.  In the end, I left happy I got the car I wanted (Toyota- corolla) at the budget price I wanted to stay at. If you go to Red McCombs off (I-10 & Callaghan) I highly recommend Robert De La Paz, Hector Moncillas and Michael Moreno. I recommend them because they were always checking up on me, asking if I needed anything, and they gave me updates on my car buying process, they were friendly people.

went there to see used cars in San Antonio, TX 78230- the Customer service rep is very good and after drive I was interested to purchase a car and asked for the quote, they said 14K and I asked for 12k. deal was not ready and I was about to step out of the building, THEN STARTED THE PROBLEM, ONE CUSTOMER REP PERSON INVITED ME TO TALK TO HIS MANAGER, I WENT INSIDE AND THERE WAS 5 PEOPLE SITTING IN THE ROOM AND THEY SPOKE TO ME VERY BADLY AND SENT ME OUT OF THE ROOM. I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN THEY SPOKE TO ME THAT WAY(is it the way they deal with the customer)?? will any customer will come back if they speak like that?..never saw this kind of people in my 2 years in US

The internet team sales person gave me a good quote for new Toyota Camry. I went there and test drove the car. I wanted a different color and he earlier had told it was fine with him. After running credit application, this guy says the car price is hiked $5.8K because I wanted a different color. If I asked him about the car that he quoted earlier, he said I could take it for the quoted price and he was ready to drive me to the lot to take the car for me. However when I asked the VIN number and miles driven in that car that I wanted to buy and asked if there were any problems in the car to be sold for huge difference in price for  $5.8K, he suddenly says some guy out of town had bought the car online. I am not surprised by this con. I think that's what sales has become nowadays. You lure a customer to dealership, run his credit and then raise the car price and interest rates. I wonder who would do something like this. He also said he is sorry for misleading me as if it really mattered to him. How do these guys sleep in the night?

So I went into the used car part of the Toyota dealership, I was looking for a 1990's Toyota Land Cruiser do you know where I can find one. This was the response I got, the Land Cruiser is made by Toyota right?
Right then I ask, I am at the Toyota dealership right? (cause in the back of my head I thought that I was an idiot I walked into the wrong dealership)
The gentleman said yes. Then I answered yes sir it is. (But i can't believe you can work at a Toyota Dealership and not know what the FUCK you sell at your own dealership. The Land Cruiser has been sold in the U.S.A. since before the 1980's, what the heck are these people smoking not knowing what sort of cars they sell.)

I bought my car here back in 2010 and continuing do the service here. It was a second hand car - 2007 Corolla , they told i can continue to use the battery and when it is down they can replace it for me. I replaced it after an year and they did it free of cost as promised. So far i didn't had any problems with the services - couple of times it was emergency without any appointments but still they were patient enough to listen to me and fix the issues. If it is something minor like flat tire, easy fixes etc. they never charged anything extra. All the more they are very courteous.
The advisor who was helping me was Mark Micheletti . Later he moved out and now and from 2011 i schedule appointments with  Brandon Goddard. He is really amazing in helping out to fix the issues. If minor issues we don't even need to leave the car. I am very much happy with the services here.. esp Brandon.  Definitely 5 stars to them.

I have been to other leading service centers and they make customers wait and make you listen to their multitasking stories without even providing any attention to your car's problems. Compared to all those this place is a great relief!

Slight disadvantage I noticed is Red McCombs have customer loyalty cards and some offers which they mail you. If you go for servicing with that, instead of providing discounts, they use to tell some other issue and just charge you the same amount without discount in the name of another service they did.

The young man Justin who was working with me was very nice. However the Manager of sales was not. I picked out a truck worked out the numbers I was satisfied with and he promised me tires and rims if I went with the truck and when it came to time make the deal he took back his word. He told the salesman to shake my hand and tell me there was nothing they could do for me. Very Shady Management! I won't return.

This is between and 3 and 4, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because of weird circumstances. Dealing with them on the phone was kind of a pain, but in the end while it was a lot of fun to buy a car here, everything went fine.

I spent about 3 weeks hunting down the one 2012 Prius Two in Nautical Blue Metallic in the 5-state region and when I finally got it pinned down it was here. It was the first time I ever bought a car and I was driving down from Austin to buy it, so I wanted to hammer out as many of the details as I could over the phone. In trying to do that, the salesman told me to "calm down and just get down here and everything will be fine." That condescension rather than helping me work through a big purchase really ticked me off, but they had the car I wanted, so I went down anyway.

Once I was there things got better. They had the car ready and buffed out a scratch I found on the bumper for me. They were very nice. The process still took about 2-3 hours, but from what I hear that's pretty typical.

I bought my used Dodge Caliber 2007 here, but when I signed the contract, there was written agreement that they would first fix several things including the back speaker that was out, and a few other things. So after a week of "repairs" I finally got my car and inspected it. The speaker still was not fixed, and the guy I bought the car from said that now was not a best time to get them fixed and he would call me when it was. I waited.... months. I called almost every month until finally almost a year later, I go to the dealership and ask when they're going to fix it. The guy I bought it from didn't work there anymore, so I talked to his superior. His superior said that there was no way to prove I didn't blow the speaker myself (even though I had a copy of the written agreement and I was assured by the guy I bought it from...) and that they cannot fix it for free because there is nowhere to charge it.

I was pissed.

I haven't been back since, and I ended up buying my own set of speakers at Best Buy, who installed them for me.

I bought a Xb and received a free 1 year membership to a car wash, 6 months later the chain Texas Shine has folded closing most of their washes causing me to go at least 20 miles both ways just to get my car washed.  I know this is out of their control but giving me at least the rest of the 6 months to another car wash is not!!!  We had a deal.  oh well I guess in this economy (which is what we all seem to be blaming everything on) nobody is good for keeping their word...You let me down Big Red.

Fast great service for Service dept.

Free wifi, free outlets, big screen TV and free water and coffee while you wait. Never had a better dealership service experience-- I got work done while they worked on my car.

"Do my eyes deceive me?" you may be asking yourself. A 5 star rating for a dealership? Hand to God, YES! Red McCombs Toyota, (primarily this certain location off of IH-10), has given top notch service every time I have visited. Whether it be an oil change or some mysterious troubling situation I have with my Toyota Camry, Roman Galindo and the great people at Toyota know exactly what to do to allow me to drive back on the San Antonio Highways in peace.

Not only do they provide stellar service but the employees at Red McCombs Toyota truly care about getting you in and out of the dealership in an efficient manner. While waiting employees will keep you updated on the service of your vehicle so that you're not left waiting there for an extended period of time without knowing the reason. I have and will continue to go to this location whenever I have a problem with my vehicle because I know without a doubt that I will be treated with the care any customer deserves. Once again a big shout out to Roman! You're awesome!

We needed a car. Richard G. got us exactly what we wanted at the price we wanted. He was so great, and came up when we needed them to. Great job. Also, everyone was really friendly and aiming to please.

These guys are quick with service and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need.  We were able to get a regular maintenance under $100.

Best dealership in San Antonio.  I am an avid Consumer Reports reader.  I visited and worked with salesman from three different Toyota Dealerships.  The other salesmen tried to play the sales game with financing and incentives.  Red McCombs Toyota did not.

I purchased the car from Mike Buffenbarger.  He had great product knowledge and iwas not a slick salesman. Red McCombs also beat all the competitors.  Unless you start at Red McCombs, you are wasting your time.  I also cross shopped with other manufactuers, and Red McCombs beat the Gunn One Simple Price on similar models.

If you are considering a Toyota, I highly recommend Red McCombs Toyota.

I've purchased my vehicle there and have had it maintained there. Roman and all the service people there are super helpful and informative. They are so cool, they even give you a discount if your a teacher. The complimentary coffee and bottled water is nice as well.

Winfred James is a bad-ass service manager! Best ever! Deserves a medal and a fruit basket come Christmas time!

So, if one looks at my review of AAMCO, you'll know that I had some car trouble recently. After hearing that I needed a new transmission left and right from another dealership and AMMCO, my dad decided to have the car towed to Red McCombs Toyota as a last effort to get a good diagnosis on the car.

Here's what went down: The current issue with 2001-2003 Toyota RAV4s is the faulty computer that ruins the transmission. They replaced the computer in my car and tested it, it broke down when the car got too hot - so they thought that I also needed a new transmission as the binding came loose or something like that. They estimated $4300 for parts and labor which was still a lot, but cheaper than AAMCO and the dealership up here. We said yes, I needed a car and it was still cheaper than buying a new one.

Then something good happened. They observed the presence of contaminated transmission oil. They cleaned that out and my car drove fine. My car is currently under observation - first for 1000 miles, then 3000 after that. Total expenditures to date: $1300

No one else would have done that for us.

All I can say is that having a good relationship with your service manager definitely takes the stresses off of car ownership. In the world of car repair, it's great that my family has someone we can trust.

I took Ninja in for her 10,000 mile check-up today. Ninja is the name of my Black Toyota Prius. She is pretty. I love her. I was half an hour late to my appointment due to traffic and they were still happy to see me when I arrived.  Winfred James was our service advisor and he was pleasant. We waited and watched the World Cup while they took care of my Ninja. Now she is good to go for another 5,000 miles!
