This is a prime example why buying a car is such a headache. I walked into this place on Saturday at noon and said, "I have financing already with my bank at 6%. I want to spend $300 a month for 60 months, what SUV's do you have in that price range? "

Well of course they showed me a 2008 and a 2007 Suzuki XL7. The 2008 didn't have the 3rd row and the 2007 was fully loaded. I liked the one fully loaded. They said we can do this!....payment is $391....I said no. I said $300 is all I want to spend. They came back with $360...I said no. They they said $328 for 2008. I kept telling them No! No! No!.

After 8 hrs of haggling, I said "If you cant make the payment work with the terms I gave you, then you do not have the car for me." They said "We have a 2006 fully loaded that will work in your price range." We drove to 2 of their lots and could not find the car. He called around the the remainder 13 locations with no luck. They haggled some more until I left.

I told them, "Find me a 2007 Luxury XL7 with the upgrades I want, in the terms that I want and I will buy, if not, then have a nice day." They quickly located a 2007 Suzuki XL7 Luxury with no miles- loaded except it didn't have the touch screen navigation or rims. I said "OK!" So I left with the car. The next day, the vehicle died at the grocery store and wouldn't start. My groceries were melting in the hot car, while I waited for them to come jump me. I took the groceries home and then went to the dealership to have the battery replaced. I still maintained my composure, but deep down I was frustrated and mad.

The next day we arrived to sign the closing documents, because finance dept was off for Memorial Day weekend. When we arrived they tell me $328 for 75 months. WTF????? What part of that sounds like $300 a month for 60 months. Now, I am LIVID! I grab my stuff and I start to leave in my old truck. They corner me in the parking lot as I am leaving and haggle back and fourth. I stand my ground and express how angered I am. We finally agree on $340 a month at 60 months including tax, ect. No money down and 1 FREE tank of gas a month until I leave San Antonio in 2 yrs. They are also installing a FREE DVD system.

Overall I got a great deal. I did my research over the weekend and knew what other dealerships were offering. What pisses me off is the bull-shit and hassle they put you through. I told them upfront, I am a buyer looking to leave with a car today. There was no selling needed, just show me a car that I like in the terms that I want.

I can't tell you how many times I "showed up" their sales reps, managers and TO's. They tried this crappy sales lingo and cut them off and told them, "Quit the 'sales tactics'. "I am a pro sales person, YOU CAN NOT SELL ME! If you give me a good deal, I will buy. If you do not, I will leave. Stop with the 'What would you say' bull shit!"

Sorry if this sounds winded, but it has been a VERY long weekend! My recommendation, is Quality Suzuki will give you a good deal, but stand your ground and leave if you have to. They will call you back!
