Reviews on Legend Kia

I went in this past weekend without an appointment. Though I did get there before their 2pm cut off time, they were backed up from having accepted so many walk-ins on top of their appointments. I asked the team leader if my car had any chance of being serviced.  He politely told me "no" and after seeing the line of cars outside, I really couldn't be mad. Also, I didn't have an appointment. After maybe 10 minutes of going back and forth with the female team member who was patiently helping me figure out a convenient time to return (next available Saturday appointment was Jan. 24) the team leader extended his hand and asked me for my keys.  I was so grateful.  My scheduled maintenance was overdue and I really didn't want to go another 2 weeks without having it performed.  Needless to say, I experienced excellent customer service! I'm sure it helped that I was also polite.  They certainly didn't have to service my car but they did and that made my day!

Horrible service.  They insisted we make an appointment to look at some used cars we called about.  The salesman actually smirked at us when we left after finding out the cars were at their other location (where we had been an hour before). I would never buy a TOY car much less spend thousands of dollars to be smirked at by a punk.

I bought a KIA Optima SXL at Legend Kia earlier this year. I LOVE it. I like it much better than some Infinitis that I looked at.
And my sales person Russell was awesome! He was very helpful, informative and friendly and I feel that I got a good deal!
Also, the man I deal with in the service department since has been great too.
I highly recommend them!

I bought my beautiful 2013 Kia Optima here in October of 2013. My salesman was Russell Frier and I had many doubts that I would leave the dealership with a car based on past experience. I had a car accident on October 15th, was without car, needed to get to work and home and just do daily things without taking the bus and didn't have another vehicle to drive. Went to Legend Kia on a Saturday and 4 hours later, drove off in my car! Russell made my experience a painless one and I can't believe it's almost been a year since I drove off the lot. I wasn't pressured into buying my car, he answered all my questions and the entire staff was awesome! I only choose Legend for any services performed on my car and every visit feels like the first visit...friendly and very helpful.  I plan on taking my boys back to Legend when they are ready to buy a car and I tell everyone I know to go see Russell!

I purchased my 2014 Kia Soul on July 4, 2014. My money is important to me so I waned to make sure I  was getting the Car I wanted, a car that would fit my budget, and car that would suit me. My salesperson was Valeria. I can't say enough good things about this young woman. Well, yes I can, Valeria LISTENED TO ME. Valeria took all of my needs and wants and found me the Car I bought.  My budget was respected, I was respected. It is important that people listen to my wants and needs and respected my budget. So, if you are in need of a great car with a fantastic reputation, look no further. You will be respected, and LISTENED to at Legend Kia!

On July 5 my Dad went in and met Valeria. He had a 2013 car. He didn't need a car, but if the price was right he was considering a Soul for himself. Well 2 hours later he rolled out in his new Kia Soul! My Dad was so Happy. What really got me was that they were so respectful of my Dad. Everyone was so nice to him. They took their time explaining everything to him. They had the time and the patience. Legend Kia now has 2 customers for life!

Go and see them, they will listen to you and they will help you find a fantastic vehicle in your price range!

If I could I would give it four thumbs down!
Be careful with the financial department there and beware of the verbiage on the loan documents. I had an incident yesterday where I was told I had to get extended warranty and I had to get gap coverage in order for them to process a loan. I had cash available but they stated for the deal of the car that I was getting it needed to financed. The advertisement. Statement Stated no such thing!
they tried to hook me since they said it has no prepayment penalty which sounded great but there was no way to avoid the extra $5000 in extended warranties that they put on the loan.(new kia's come with 10yr/  100k)

After 4 hours of looking for a car running credit and negotiating I ended up walking out of there tired and carless and frustrated. By the lies. They literally stated I would not have to pay that, but the loan document had it on there. Very deceitful. , they just want to get you in there. Went the next day to Gunn nissan and got a better deal.

A couple of years ago (October 2011) I went to this dealer to purchase a vehicle. Admittedly, I didn't have great credit but was in need of a vehicle. Because I wanted a Kia, I went to Legend figuring they'd be able to offer me a fair deal, despite not having the best credit. The woman who was my sales rep was okay (she no longer works there) but her sales manager (I do not remember his name, and I could not find his picture on their website as current staff) was beyond rude to me. This man was condescending and was very clear to tell me that my bad credit is "not [his] fault" and the deals he is able to offer me now is a direct result of my being "careless". I remember these bits of what he said to me because it stung. I went in to this dealer being very honest about my credit - knowing that there would only be so much a dealer could do, but it was not necessary to rub my bad credit in my face, and make me feel worthless.

I drove off the lot with a vehicle (finance pending) and was advised by their finance specialist that he would complete the financing within three (3) days. Each day, I called to speak to the financing rep (I do not recall his name either) but he never returned my messages. On day three (3), I received a call saying that my financing was approved, to come in a sign the papers. I went in, only to be told that I had to hand the vehicle back over, because they were only able to approve me for X amount, which was below the amount necessary for the vehicle I left the lot with. The sales manager who previously demeaned me then showed me several unacceptable options, reminded me that my bad credit is my own fault, and ultimately I left this dealer feeling like a less worthy person because of the way I was treated (and with no car).

I went to another dealer (please see my other reviews for my review of this other dealer) and was, once again, up front about my credit, and despite this, they treated me like a human being that was worthy of treating with dignity and respect.

Because of the way I was treated at Legend Kia, I have no intentions of ever attempting to give them my business again. If you want to be demeaned, go to Legend Kia. If you want to be treated like a person who is worthy of respect, go somewhere else.

Bought my 2012 Kia Forte here last year. Had a good experience. Not too bad. Went in today because my headlights and dashboard were flickering. So they checked it and said it was the fuses and wanted to know if I wanted them to go ahead and replace them. Although it was going to be a bit pricey just to replace fuses (about $60), I declined the services. They were friendly about it and they didn't charge me for a diagnostic or anything.

I love Kia, I think they make awesome vehicles, I love my 2011 Kia Forte, but, I don't like Legend Kia's service department.

I called to get info on an alignment for my 2011 Forte and the girl took my name and phone number down so she could get more info (weird) and call me later. Well that never happened, days passed, no call.

Then about a month later, the 100+ degree heat finally killed the OEM battery on my car. I called to see if I could get a price on another one, again, put on hold, told me that they would call me back once they confirm inventory availability and cost, etc...

The customer service is just bad at this location.

I did, however, go to Ancira Kia, much further from Alamo Heights, but I received excellent customer service. They took me to Enterprise Rent-A-Car so I could get a car while my car was being aligned.

The battery purchse took less than 10 minutes, I was in and out wiht my KIA OEM battery.
