Terrible service department here.  They will take you one way but not being you back when car is done.  For major repairs you must schedule several days in advance to receive a loaner car.  You must arrange your own transportation to ensure you are not stranded.  Today  I needed a ride while my car was serviced and my destination was about a mile away.  I was told it was too far due to inclement weather.  It's not even raining.  Another time i dropped the car off for service and when I picked up the car I noticed several large grease stains on my car interior.  The technician grabbed the inside cloth to get in and out of the car leaving the large stains.  I complained and they cleaned them off but who does this and thinks the customer will not see it and have a problem with it? I don get it.  I recommend you find a different dealership.  Theses experiences have made me want to trade the car and get a different make and model so I don't need to ever return here.

Do not trust them even though they carry the Acura name. They fraudulently sold me a car with a lemon law title on it without disclosing it even though they were the ones that had to buy it back from the customer. All the documents they provided me showed a clear title and yet now that I bought a new car and am trying to sell it, the carfax report shows all these red x's because of the lemon law buyback and has become impossible to sell for what I should be able to get for it.  If you are buying a new car, it may not be a big deal that they have fraudulent behavior, but DO NOT buy a used car from them without knowing they could be hiding something very important from you that would definitely alter your purchasing decisions.

Sales management is sub par at this dealership.  Not a friendly place.  As far as their maintenance department, their is a lot of room for improvement.  I've sat outside waiting for them to open their gates 15 minutes later than their posted hours of operation...and I had scheduled an appointment for first thing that morning.  I like Acura, but this dealership really needs to improve the customer experience.

Came to Gunn Acura to have my RDX serviced. Made an appointment online. Javier processed my car at 1PM and service was completed in 45mins.  The car was ready as promised and was washed too.  Thank you. Ed

Called a dealer in Dallas who quoted us $2400 less than Gunn for a new MDX. No thanks Gunn

I purchased my 2015 Acura TLX from Gunn Acura and I can honestly say it was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Ernest Santos was nothing but professional and at no time did i feel any pressure of any kind. I wish all car buying experiences were this good. They give it to you straight and let you make a decision based on what you want rather than trying to convince you to buy something because it will benefit them. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new car to go to GUNN Acura in San Antonio.

I have nothing to say but positive compliments about Gunn Acura! I purchase my 2012 Acura TSX two years ago and the experience was the best but that experience Did Not Stop there. As the years past I continue to get my vehicle service at Gunn Acura and I tell you, Each Time that I stop by My Service Manager, Charles Spencer, from Gunn Acura impresses me by providing THE TOP NOTCH BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE & EXPERIENCE! It's hardworking people like Charles and his service crew members that make Gunn Acura: Trustable, Dependable, and Have Loyal Customers for years to come. If you ever need service done on your vehicle ask for Charles Spencer to setup an appointment! He is the best and goes above & beyond for his customers!

If Charles' Manager is reading this please give him a raise because he deserves every $$$$$ of it!

This upcoming year I will be coming back to purchase another Acura from Gunn Acura because without a doubt this dealership knows what they are doing and values their customers. If all dealerships learn a thing or two of the values, honesty, and principles of what Gunn Acura provides then just maybe they will start to earn the trust that I long have from Peter Ing (Sales Agent), Charles Spencer (Service Manager), and Gunn Acura.

Thank you for being a Leader to show other dealership how a True Dealership should be in the industry!

Keep up the great work!!

Quoted today $186.00 to replace two halogen low beam headlamps in an RSX.

Both bulbs cost $14.00 total at the local auto parts store.  This dealer is charging a ridiculous amount for the labor involved.  Changed both myself in less than fifteen minutes -Thank you youtube!

The hours posted on the website are inaccurate.
I called wanting to get some information about getting my maintenance done today at around 2:30 p.m. And the lady on the phone told me it couldn't be done due to them closing in 20 mins. The website clearly states they close at 7 p.m. Maybe the sales department closes at 7? I don't know, the advertisements on the phone while I was waiting 10 mins to get some assistance also sucked. This being the only actual acura dealership in San Antonio is unfortunate.

Probably the easiest buying experience we've had. Our salesman, John Ahlstrom, was extremely patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. There was zero pressure, he made sure we were happy and went out of his way to be helpful. I wish all car buying experiences were like this. The only reason I did not give a five star is because of a previous experience I had with the service department.

We just purchased a new RDX from Gunn Acura. Our salesperson was the very best. I would recommend John Ahlstrom without reservation. He was knowledgeable, patient, efficient and responsive to our questions. I would purchase from no other. If the dealership is like him then they've got me for the long haul.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Gunn Acura. I purchased my first Acura through them in 2007 and loved absolutely loved the car. I regularly used their service department and they always took good care of my car, honored the couple of very minor warranty issues I had, and treated me kindly and respectfully.

I bought my second Acura the other day - I was just going to test drive it real quick and I ended up buying it. I love this one just as much and probably more than the first one!

I recommend asking for Andrew. He took the time to explain all the features of my car, to make sure the sales process went smoothly, and to make sure that I am happy with my car. I plan to keep coming back for my regular maintenance at the Acura service department. The service has always been good and I also like the snacks, wifi and car wash.

I am very happy with my car! I love it! I don't like driving, but I do like driving my Acura. And eventually, I might get around to letting my husband drive it sometime.

I bought a car there last weekend and Tony Alvarez helped me.  They offered a very good price for the model I was buying and also a very fair price for my old trade-in.  I am very happy with the service I received there.

If you read through my other reviews, you will see an obvious trend in my interactions with Acura dealerships.  They are, without fail, negative.

Enter Gunn Acura.  I moved to San Antonio roughly a year and a half ago and had a couple of quirky things happening with my TL, so I decided to take it to the closest dealership.  I told them my concerns (I thought there was a transmission issue, among other things), and they set me up with a loaner vehicle to make sure that if my car required a time-intensive fix, I wasn't sans wheels.  Turns out, nothing was really wrong with my car, they tightened some bolts, checked a couple of things, and gave it back, no charge.  I felt silly for bringing it in over nothing, but they were gracious and sent me on my way.

Fast forward to today.  My car has decided not to support my driving endeavors.  It refused to start at all yesterday, and I just managed to coax it into submission today, long enough to get it up to the dealer.  Something was definitely wrong this time.  I showed up at my scheduled time (2:30), but since I'd called the same morning, I was effectively a walk-in.  They gave me my options to stay or be driven home, and I told them that I'd wait it out for an hour and see what was causing my battery to die on me.

It took about an hour to diagnose the problem, which was my Handsfree Link short-circuiting and leaving itself on while the rest of the car was off, draining my battery.  While unfortunate, it wasn't the end of the world.  I had an Acura Care warranty that I'd purchased with the car and elected to use it to fix that problem and a couple of others that I had been lazy about taking it in for.  I asked what I should do about getting a vehicle and they managed to find me a loaner on incredibly short notice, making the entire event painless.

I had come to hate interacting with car dealerships until Gunn, but this place (at least the service department, since that's my only interaction) is a gem.

I also have to mention that two of the service associates, Thomas and Charles, both know me by name and vehicle and are always friendly and professional to interact with on the phone and in person--so glad they're there to help me navigate the frustration of car problems!

We bought my husband's used car here.  Within seven hours of locating the vehicle on AutoTrader, we were in an out (this also involved driving to San Antonio).  We used a service to ensure the car was in good working shape (it was) and although we tried to get some things fixed before buying the car, they wouldn't budge (things like safer non-bent rims and an incredibly dirty cabin air filter).  They don't negotiate either, and expect to get their awesome low-tech powerpoint-style notebook presentation on that in their showroom.

In short, it was a no-frills experience - though we were paying straight up for the car, we still had to go through the financing spiel and upgrade spiel.  They washed the car before we left and took care of all the title-signing (done in Bexar) and sending us paperwork.  All in all, as a long-distance buyer it was relatively painless but I would highly recommend getting your car checked out before buying.

I recently needed to change my transmission fluid in my RSX. I rarely ever go to the dealership for service (as it is typically a rip off) though I do buy their parts and then just take them elsewhere. However...transmissions are a fickle fickle thing, and I do not want to screw up my car by having some local Joe Schmoe put some crappy tranny fluid (hehe) in my car. So I sucked it up that I would have to pay an arm and a leg and just took my car to the dealership.

Seeing as I knew I would be in SA for Labor Day weekend, I figured I would just have it done there. I went online and made an appointment, and awaited follow up. I was called back two days later by a service rep but they didn't have either time slot available I was hoping for?!?! So much for making an appointment huh? Oh well, took the car in and they quoted me at $90 bones for the fluid change...whateva...has to be done. So they ask me when I need my car back, and my response was something to the effect of "Uh, as soon as possible." I think they felt since I was just dropping off my car that I did not care when it would be ready. They told me it would take about an hour. So an hour later I call, and they haven't even gotten my car into the shop yet!!! Call back after 2 hours, and they tell me it has just gone in and they will call me back when it's done. I waited 1.5hours longer and after no phone call I called back to the service department. Low and behold my car is ready! I don't understand why I had to call THEM though to find this out. I also do not understand the point of making an appointment. I would have received the exact same service if I had just been a walk-in.

The only saving grace for Gunn is that for some strange reason I was only charged $60 for the tranny change which is much less than what they quoted me. They washed my car, albeit they did a half assed job but considering I hadn't washed my ride in like 6mos it looked beautiful. Next time I will stick to just buying parts from this dealership - perhaps to even include fluids - and have someone else do the work for me!
