I really wanted to make this place my new home for my subaru. Its down the street from my job & close to home. I took my vehicle a few days after I had bought it preowned from BMW. Got a oil change, my gas door latch was in operational & a rattle from my third brake light & a wheel alignment. They took care of oil change & alignment with no problem. If fact they did my first alignment under warranty which is great. They had to order parts for my gas door which is understandable. However, once I got my vehicle back rattle was still there.

Went back a few days later once my parts had arrived. Told them again about my rattle.  A little while later done! I get in my car getting ready to leave and sure enough my rattle is still there. At that point I said ok. Looks like they didn't drive the vehicle. I mean common, twice for same reason & still no resolution. A week later took it to Gillman, and they where great. Fix my rattle first time.  

Im still not giving up on this place. I will more then likely buy my parts from this facility. Just because of the convience factor. Facility is nice & clean & staff is friendly. They just have to do a better job on customer complaints.

This was my first experience going through the process of buying a new car. While I certainly went to other dealerships, West Houston Subaru has the best deals/offers.

Before I even get to the car, I have to give a shout out to our sales representative Vince Ramacca. Not only was he helpful when it comes to showing you the car of your dreams, he helps make it a reality. While I almost left without purchasing a vehicle, Vince was able to make a miracle happen.

Aside from being a great negotiator, one of the things I really commend about Vince is his customer service. While sales reps are only doing their job and trying to make commission/living, it's really obnoxious when they start pushing the sale on you. I don't want to be forced to purchase - this is a big/expensive decision you have to make.

Anyways, on to the car...
I purchased the Subaru Impreza. Having it for only three days, maybe I'm still just reeling in the hype but I LOVE IT. Easy to drive, great on gas, and has some great features to it (Bluetooth, auxiliary/iPod port, XM radio free for four months, etc).

While all of these features were fairly new for me, especially because my other car is a 2000 civic - as basic as it gets, I knew it would take a while to read the manual and set my car up to my needs.

Not the case; Vince was more than thorough on how to set up the car, what each icon means (good, bad, not a big deal, etc), and with how to take care of your vehicle so it lasts longer.

If you're looking to buy a new or used car definitely take a look in West Houston, it will be worth your time and money!

Talking from very little experience since this is my first experience with a car, I would say that west Houston subaru is a great place to start, the team is very helpful with any questions you might have for new cars, as well as accessories and parts.

My subaru has come here for service every now and then and the team tried their best to make sure that every service or little thing is fixed whether it is oil change or adding a bit of paint to a chipped section

Amazing team here at west Houston subaru, might make my next purchase here!!

I used to love this dealership until I caught wind of their shady practices. Be forewarned of this dealerships bait and switch tactics when it comes to service. I am always promised a loaner when I talk to the service coordinator over the phone. When I arrive,  they do not recall the conversation.  They will also dance around trying to honor the warranty on the car. Do not go to this dealership for service!!!

My only complaint would be that their service department is pretty busy so you have to schedule an appointment for something as simple as an oil change about a week in advance. But if you do that, their service is great. They are nice and friendly, do a great job, and wash/vacuum your car for you. They also found a problem with one of my tires and replaced it for free (my car is still under warranty).

After jump starting a dead battery in my 2014 Subaru Forester, every idiot light on the dash lit up. So I gingerly drove to West Houston Subaru where service advisor Rob worked me in despite a very full service queue. My service ticket was transferred to Karla who oversaw the diagnostics to discover that a software upgrade was needed (separate discussion needed re why missing software upgrade in a modern car effectively disables it!). In spite of being unscheduled, I was in and out in a little more than a couple hours without any cost to me. The waiting area is smaller than some, but is comfortable and nice.  I especially appreciated a separate "business center" type room with work counter and outlet where I could use the free wifi to work in peace while waiting. Although I purchased my vehicle at another dealer because they didn't have the model I wanted, I will be taking it to West Houston for service.

So I don't typically write reviews but I decided to do so since west houston subaru really went the extra mile for my family.

Let me start off by saying that yes this is a small dealership and yes there are one or two individuals at this dealership that seem to not be the most customer oriented. In the end that'll be their loss. On the other hand Gerald the sales manager and John were awesome to work with. Most sales managers automatically make my skin crawl and tend to put me on the defensive. They usually make me feel I have to make sure I'm not accidentally signing my first born away. Not so with Gerald he went the extra mile to try to get the best deal possible for us. The guys here listen to what you have to work with and go from there. They don't try to pressure you into conforming to what their ideal might be. Instead they try to conform to your financial situation. That in my book is a big plus.

I recently took my sister in law in to see if they could also help her with a new vehicle purchase. They impressed again by giving her better terms than anyone else was willing to do.

In summary if you need a new vehicle in Houston this is the place to go. If by chance at first you feel your not getting the attention you deserve talk to Gerald or john and you'll be good to go. I will definitely be going back to west houston subaru.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon, at about noon, with the intention to test drive and order a BRZ. I called a few times beforehand but nobody answered, so I figured they were busy. LOL. I got to the dealership, and there were 3 or 4 associates helping, but the rest were in one of the offices on their phones shooting the bull. I stood around, walked around for about 30 minutes, associates walked by me but nobody cared to say anything. I assume they were engaged in very important and intriguing conversations on their cell phones, so they couldn't be bothered to help me at this dealership. Oh well. Don't come here, you will be treated without dignity, and will likely receive, at best, so-so service. Save your money and go to another dealership, preferably the one on the sam houston tollway near the southwest freeway. My experience there was superb.

This is update for stalling and idling issues. Took car to West Houston several times for this issue. Every time they said they cannot find the problem and reprogrammed the car computer each time. I think they never take the time or their tech are not knowledgable enough to diagnose the problem. Took the car to Gillman North. They fixed it under warranty and was very courteous. Unlike the scruffy guy at West Houston. I am going to Gillman North from now on even though they are further.

Yelp says it perfectly!  "Woohoo!  As good as it gets!"  I had been shopping awhile for a used car and went in for a test drive.  I loved the car, but it didn't have a few of the features I was looking for.  Sean (my sales associate) could tell I wasn't sold...so he suggested we go a totally way and look at brand new models!  This suggestion was also my doing...buying a new car means I get to pick my features!  Long story short, he was able to put me in a BRAND new Subaru XV Crosstrek for just a bit more than a used model.  

This was my first "new car" buying experience, and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!  Sean was great to deal with.  I never felt pressured or over whelmed.  He was very knowledgeable about the car and Subaru in general.  And a huge thing I noticed...he seemed like he loved his job and was truly excited for me!  He spent a great deal of time sitting in the car with me going over features and even set up the navigation and my Bluetooth, so I drove away in a perfect state!

The whole process, although did take a while, was completely positive.  So many times I have dealt with dealerships and salesmen and felt always on guard and defensive.  I actually had visited three others the day I went into West Houston Subaru!  West Houston Subaru could not be more different.  Beautiful, clean showroom and offices, friendly staff, and of course the cars!  You cannot go wrong with this dealership!

I kept my Volvo for 16 years and finally decided to get a new car. After researching, I decided on the Subaru Outback.  I love it!  Vince Ramacca was a great Internet salesman, quoting me the price before I went in for a test drive.  He was knowledgeable and wanted me to be HAPPY!  Everything was wonderful until...Financing...  I noticed after coming home that I was charged for extra warranties that no one had even asked about!!! HOWEVER.. Vince, Moses, and the Manager wanted me , the customer, to be happy, so they changed everything until it was just what I expected!  This was one of the best car-buying experiences I've had.   West Houston Subaru totally listened to me!

The best car buying experience I ever had. My salesman Troy Lynn was awesome. Actually everyone I came in contact was great. It took less than 2 hrs from walk in to driving away with the hottest looking car I didnt think I could ever afford , There wasn't any bs going back and forth to the managers office. I brought my Subaru Legacy in for a regular maintenance but was surprised I was charged for an oil change. The Subaru place where I used to bring my car for maintenance in California never charged me anything for the same labor performed and I never had to pay anything since I have an extended warranty. I took a screen shot of the receipts as proof. At least they washed my car....

This dealership has the best Subaru service department that I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot of them. They are honest and straightforward. If there's a problem with your car, they'll address it without out the BS, and I don't mean Bachelors of Science, people.

This is absolutely the best place I have ever bought a car. I had carefully done my research and knew  I wanted a Forester. I went to the other game in town first. What a waste of time! Those people a G***man were awful. I left frustrated with no car. I reached out to Vince at West Houston via email and he invited me to come talk with him. As soon as I met him I knew my experience was going to be positive. Super friendly people here and  NO PRESSURE! I presented Vince with my list of "Needs" and "Wants" for the Forester. He found the perfect Forester Touring model that had all my needs and wants and got me a great price. Financing was a snap (my trade in was a VW Touareg and they partner with the VW dealership next door). I love my new Forester and I couldn't have asked for a better experience buying it. The folks at West Houston Subaru are really nice and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for as Subaru.

This review is long overdue - we bought our Outback in October 2011.  

Our salesperson was Jonathan Rachal and he was excellent.  I have always felt that I  would "rather die" than buy a new car since it's typically a poor financial decision.  However the pricing we got on a new 2012 Outback Limited was actually a few thousand cheaper than what CarMax was trying to get for a 2011, and cheaper than any of the dealerships in the Austin/SA area (where I live).  

I did all my negotiation over phone or email, expecting to be baited/switched and/or screwed one way or another, but the price I paid was to the dollar exactly what I was quoted, and from car forum research still the best deal I've seen on a 2012 OB Limited with the options we got.  Even the financing was cheaper than the best rate available from any local credit union.  

Everyone we dealt with was professional and low-pressure, and I would highly recommend anyone shopping for a Subaru in Texas to visit them.

Be very careful buying a used car here. Obviously they do not check them out or give them needed maintenance before being put out on the lot. Bought a used car from them , took it back to them a few weeks later for an oil change and when all said and done they informed me the vehicle needs 3000.00 worth of work. I am now in the market for a new Subaru Crosstrek but I won't buy it here. I just don't trust them anymore. Johnny in sales is a nice guy; however, Rob in the service dept. is somewhat rude and aloof. Not sure how he got this postion with Subaru. Working in the service dept. you would think they would put someone in that position that knows how to deal with people, I own 4 Subaru's in my family and every time we take a vehicle in for service Rob seems like he is miserable, .not sure this guy has ever been is a good mood. It makes interaction with him difficult and something I dread. Anyway, I will look elsewhere for my new Subaru as I really believed them when they told me the vehicle I purchased was in good condition. I wouldn't call 3000.00 in repair good condition...can't keep doing business this way  eventually the word will get out.

I love this dealership. We bought our Subaru in Austin and moved to Houston. We didn't know which dealership to go to because there are only two close to us.

This one is a bit further than the Gillman one, but it's worth it. It's clean and nice. The employees are really helpful. We go here for regular maintenance on our Forrester.

There is a nice waiting room with cable tv (yes you can change the channel!), enough chairs and tables for everyone, complimentary water and coffee and a separate closed off room for kids. Great idea! It's all glass walls so you can look in and make sure they are okay but you don't have to hear them if they are being loud. They have toys and a tv too.

We went around looking at the new models while waiting. A couple of different guys came up to us. We told them we were just looking while waiting for our oil change and they respected that. Told us if we needed anything, let them know and then left us alone.

I already know our next car will be another Subaru and I can't wait to come to this location for it.

West Houston Subaru does a fantastic job of servicing its customers!  Each time I stop by, I recieve the star treatment - which is fitting since the dealership believes in the philosopy 'really Really Happy Customers!'  

With easy access off Katy Freeway and a brand-new facility and friendly staff, especially Daryll Zarevich, I have found the place I'll be taking my Subaru to for life.  Dealership also offers FREE limited lifetime warranty on all new car purchases.

West Houston Subaru is my preferred choice for Subaru service.  I've never been unhappy with the service here.  The staff are professional and the garage -- last time I checked -- was remarkably spotless.  I have nothing negative to say about this place.  Their service prices are a bit higher than some other places -- e.g. Gillman -- but in my opinion it's worth it for the better service and honest quotes.  (See my one-star rating of Gillman service to learn more).

These guys have been great! I can't believe the amount of customer service - it's incredible. Not only did I get a great deal on my new 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i hatchback, but they even brought it up to me in Austin for no extra fee. This car buying experience has been easy and painless. The last time I bought a car (14 years ago), it left such a bad taste in my mouth - I felt like I totally got hosed. I've been putting it off for years and have had enough of sweating my ass off in this Texas heat (my Jeep doesn't have AC). I finally decided it was time to get a new car - the Subie. Troy has been a pleasure to work with.
