South of I-10 on Washington Ave., on the corner of Brashear and Washington, there is a small white sign, with red letters reading "W&R Auto Sales". It's at this exact location in 1959 that Mr. Samuel Helfman (Jack Helfmans Father) opened a used car lot named Helfman Motors. For the next 13 years a young Jack Helfman would work side by side with his father, honing his sales skills, while at the same time, helping to build a successful used car dealership. The experience Jack Helfman gained in the next 13 years laid the foundation for what would be a successful 39 year relationship with Chrysler.

Fueled by the success of Helfman Motors, Jack began looking into the possibility of selling new cars. He had his eyes set on a small dealership, inside the loop, owned by a local businessman named Bob Ring. Soon the papers were signed, and in 1972 the Helfmans took control of River Oaks Chrysler Plymouth. Unfortunately Samuel Helfman would pass away shortly after the He

Reviews on River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

A review about the body shop/collision service. I was sent here by State Farm after a collision. These guys mean well, but they simply did not do a good job. I have a VW Jetta (and should never have brought it here, but that is what state farm recommended). They claimed they could fix any make, in any case. In the end, I would never bring a model they don't sell here. They took 2 months or more to fix the vehicle. They seem to have no incentive to do it quickly. And then they didn't do it properly. Problem: 1. The car came out with one wheel nut missing, for example, on a wheel that had to be repaired. 2. They never told me they didn't have the wheel lock key, so they wrenched the tires off/on with some tool they had in back (I didn't trust the quality of that). 3. the door they repaired on one side sticks, and often doesn't pull open without an extra yank. After having it at home for several weeks, I took it back to deal with a popping sound while turning. They claimed to fix it (after I left the car for another 2 weeks), but (surprise), the car still makes this unsettling sound when turning.

In short, I'll be selling my car since it is not worth trying to fix all these problems that they didn't resolve. My rule: if you are in a collision, only take it to a dealer for your variety of car. Find another repair place unless you have one they sell. I picked it for its convenient location, but that was a bad idea.

My wife and I  wanted to compliment  River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram  for the service we experienced at their dealership. I had not purchased a car in 7 years and it's been 17 years since I left a dealership with a new vehicle. The dealership, staff, location, and service was of the most importance to me. I wanted my wife to to feel comfortable and respected if she had to go into a dealership for future service without me. Their staff was the difference for us when it came to picking up a new vehicle.

We worked with Trey and Blake and it was an A+ experience. I am in sales and I understand the pain and joy of that profession. We felt comfortable and respected by Trey and that's a big reason we chose this dealership.

We believe we got a great vehicle at a fair price and equitable price. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new Jeep.

They fixed my Jeep but...
A few weeks ago, my Jeep was broken into.  Unfortunately, this was the start of my relationship with the body shop at River Oaks Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep.  I chose this place mainly based on location, but I wish I would've glanced at the Yelp reviews.  I worked with Paul to get an estimate, and in the scheme of things this went pretty smoothly.  I was out of there in less than 25 minutes.  I decided it would be cost effective to file a claim with my insurance company, and they authorized the repairs through Paul.  The first call I received from Paul was a little unsettling.  In the entire experience, I counted a total of five lies.  Paul told me my Jeep belonged to someone else during our first phone conversation, despite me being the first owner and paying in cash.  I also mentioned that I intended to file a claim with my insurance provider, and he said okay.  In the next call, when I again talked to him about the insurance process, Paul told me, "I don't recall having any conversation about insurance." Unfortunately for Paul, my insurance agent documented that exact conversation three separate times.  I think even the insurance agent was wowed at the incompetence by the end of this process.
I was told all the parts to repair my Jeep arrived.  Naturally, I stopped in to drop off my Jeep.  I was surprised to hear that one of the parts was in Dallas.  I'm not one to get too upset, but the frustration was starting to get to my boiling point.  In the end, I dropped off my car a few days later.
I returned three days later when the part from Dallas made it to Houston.  Paul said that they would do their best to fix my Jeep in one day, which didn't seem like it would be that big of a challenge.  Fortunately, the body shop workers found a spare lock, and that saved them having to replace the entire center console lid.  The spare lock saved me around $85, which is the ONLY reason my rating rose to the level of 2 stars.  I received a call that my Jeep was ready to pick up.  When I showed up, Paul said that he had not received a check from my insurance provider, and I knew they mailed a check about a week ago.  I wasn't able to get in touch with my insurance provider.  I elected to pay all the costs out of my pocket, and I decided to work through my insurance company directly.  Two days later I received a check in my mailbox.  Ironically, Paul also found the check on that same day, though there had already been a stop payment placed on the "lost check."
In a sick way, most of the personnel at this point know my name.  I can say with confidence that I won't be returning to River Oaks Chrysler Jeep, though at least my glove box and center console are finally repaired!

I bought my jeep here in 2010. Got a great deal. There service department for a maintenance and repairs!! Brought my jeep in for a check engine light. Had to replace the fuel line. But when I picked it up my battery was drained and my stereo didn't work. Claimed it wasn't their problem. And the check engine light issue was still not resolved.

Hussein S. | 2015-01-21

Very professional and accommodating staff. Sales Managers were very helpful as well. One of the best experiences I have had leasing a car.

Jared L. | 2015-01-17

My fiancée got a great deal on a Jeep Grand Cherokee here. Our sales guy, Nick, was awesome and incredibly helpful.  The buying process was smooth and no-hassle.

Nick is the exception, though, not the norm. Every other sales guy or service individual sits on their butt while you wait for someone to help you.

Today I dropped off a jeep for scheduled maintenance and when asked where to go I had one man point me out of a set of double doors with no further instructions. I asked another individual and was pointed to a general area of a parking lot. Finally someone showed me where the express line was, but there was no signage that would suggest it was an express lane like you might expect.

Overall the people here seem rude and uninterested in continued business. The only positive was a nice price on a new car.

Trea H. | 2014-12-15

The absolute worst excuse for a service department that I have ever encountered in my entire life. When a check engine light came on, they kept the Jeep for a week and a half then simply reset it and sent it out the door. Of course it came back on the very next morning. After it being back there for two days I called and spoke with the rudest technician I have ever dealt with. He actually told me that no one had even looked at it yet and someone may look at it tomorrow. When I asked him why he felt that it was acceptable he said it wasn't his problem! I have never in my 45 years been treated this way by any business.

Brett H. | 2014-12-10

Did an excellent job with getting me the exact Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon I wanted. We will be doing a lot of business with River Oaks when we open our custom Jeep fabrication shop; Tactical Jeeps. The selection of Wranglers available was amazing. I also didn't feel the typical car salesman pressure that I get when going to other dealers. Was offered water frequently and taken care of.

Roland M. | 2014-12-07

I purchased my Grand Cherokee in October,  the sales staff was great. I believe the difference in a person's experience is if they are buying or servicing the vehicle by reading the reviews. The salesman also informed me that when you purchase a extended warranty your rental is free.

Chris G. | 2014-11-25

My buying experience was a complete joke, but that was over 2 years ago. I bring my grand Cherokee in for all service and maintenance and the service and wait time is horrible every time. I don't know why I keep coming...mainly because I buy into the false belief that the dealership will take better care of mt vehicle.

I also had warranty work done and took care of a recall issue that took 10 days. The warranty work was for the front bumper falling off.
Now I need to replace my back windshield wiper and am told it will have to sit on their lot for 1 week before someone can tell me what work needs to be done, how much it will cost, and how long it would take. Duh, I just told you what work needs to be done.
Also, in case you haven't been informed by the service personnel, making service appointments are a fiction here. That is something employees tell me constantly.
Finally, its a horrible ordeal to just get onto the lot from Kirby.

Christopher M. | 2014-11-24

This is the best dealership buying experience I have ever had! I ordered my 2015 Rubicon from Mark Gusman, it came in after 6 weeks and I took it home.

Chris J. | 2014-10-02

Rude. I was a first time customer trying to drop my Jeep off for service. No one acknowledged my presence when I walked up to them even though they were not with customers. Once I got some ones attention they were corse and not in any way interested in helping me. I will drive across the city before dealing with them again.

This was my first time here. My service advisor was Gilbert who is very nice and helpful. At first he told me they could not get to my car till Monday because they were so busy which was different from what I was told when I called the day before, the gentleman on the other line told me to just come in and they would take care of it. After I told Gilbert that, he said he would definitely get to it that day. The receptionist at the service desk was not very friendly. She was very terse and cold. She did not greet any of the customers that came in except for one, that was the same race as her. It was very noticeable and very unprofessional of her, I have worked in a luxury dealership and the receptionist are the first impression of the dealership, it's important that they have great people skills and set the tone of customers visits. They have a shuttle service and George the driver is warm and wonderful. I was charged 45.00 for an oil change which was overpriced. I was quoted outrageous prices for services I needed. I know another place where I could get everything addressed for half the price. When I picked up my car, the porter who drove it up was a maniac driver behind the wheel of my car. Will I be back? Never. One star for George and the other for Gilbert. After my experience today, I probably would not even purchase my next Jeep there. It's quite sad because I thought I was going to get great service here. When you hear "River Oaks", you expect the best, instead I got the worst. Number One in service? I think not.

Miranda G. | 2014-08-22

I absolutly dread when I have to take my car to get serviced here. I would much rather pay more and get a little customer service. I have just called three times to talk to the service department about a question and bringing my car in to fix an electrical issue and I got nothing but voicemail. When I called to ask for the name and number to a Service Manager, I was sent to a voicemail. When I called back and ask to speak to a person the operator said she did not work in that department. I ask her to NOT send me to voicemail and she gave me attitude. This is why I put off having my car fixed. I don't understand how they can conduct business this way and stay in business. I am going to go elsewhere. This place was just close to home and work.

Body Shop: what a racket. I took my 2014 Audi A7 in for $4,000+ body repair. I took it here because my insurance company goes through this body shop.

The body shop "consultant" whom I worked with was Efraim. He said repairs would take nine (9) days.

At first it all seemed good. Efraim called me with updates. Then, he called to say on Day 10 that my car was being detailed. A free bonus he said he was throwing in for me. (Get it? I'm a great guy!)

On Day 11, I called to find out if I could pick up my car. Efraim said he hadn't checked the vehicle yet. I said, "No problem; I'll get it later this afternoon." Later that afternoon I called and Efraim said it wasn't ready. Two days to finish detailing?

Day 12 I called. He said he still hadn't had time to check out my car. I kept my cool as I was provided a rental through my insurance company. I told him I was going out of town in two days and needed my car back before then.

Efraim, I guess, thought I was giving him a grace period. So he said, "Great. Then can you pick it up tomorrow?" I agreed.

I called Efraim on Day 13 to say I was coming in to pick up my car and that I would be there in 45 minutes.

I picked up my car. Of course Efraim said all repairs came with a full warranty.

I drove out of the shop and started driving my car. It immediately started pulling harshly to the right. I called Efraim and told him what was happening. He said, "I have the spec sheet right here. We did a full alignment." I said, "I'm driving the car and it's pulling badly." He kept saying over and over, "I have the spec sheet and we fully aligned it."

I tried to explain to Efraim that I was driving the car and it was pulling. He suggested I bring it back in but that the alignment mechanic wouldn't be in until Monday. He said they could put me in a rental. But he let me know that he had the spec sheet.

Remember, I was going out of town the next day. Then all my tire pressure lights came on. I called him back. He said that they test drove it. Really? I hadn't even gone one mile and the car is pulling and the tire pressure lights are dinging.

He implied that I didn't know what I was talking about. Yes, by this point I'm mad. I ask to speak to Efraim's manager. Efraim put me on hold. It took a while to be connected to the manager. Hmm. I'm assuming Efraim was telling Mike/Mark, the manager, his side.

When I was finally connected to Mike/Mark the manager I told him that Efraim was not taking me seriously and that Efraim was implying I was lying. Of course Mike/Mark the manager sided with Efraim.

I pull of on the side of the road. There is a NAIL in my tire. I hadn't even driven in one mile from the shop.

Needless to say I was angry.

It took three days to detail? Then there's a nail in my tire. All they could do is say they had the spec sheet and for me to come back in to be put in a rental.

This is after a total of 17 days in the shop.  (I'm including weekends in this number.)

I drove it to the Audi dealership to have the tire replaced. Luckily I have tire//wheel insurance through Audi. I know River Oaks, Efraim, Mike/Mark would not give me a new tire.

I will never use them again.

Had paint issues with my new Fiat that the Helfman at Katy (where I purchased the car) refused to take care of. River Oaks was awesome about fixing it. They got it back to me the next day and even cleaned my car. Can't thank them enough for their friendly service.

I purchased my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee from River Oaks Chrysler.  I have no complaints about their sales department.  My disappointment is with their service department, or lack of service within their service department.  I have taken my car their several times for various issues and each time I was met with a complete disinterest in assisting me, an incredible lack of urgency and in most cases rudeness that tells me customer service is not a priority for this company.  My latest and last experience was when I called River Oaks Service Department to schedule my vehicle for service for a recall.  I asked for an appointment and I was told "that will never happen here".  I explained the recall notice said the work will take about an hour and I was told "I could bring it in and they would get to it when they get to it"  This is not the first time I was given such a rude response and had to rent a car while "they got around to it".  I understand some repairs take a few days, but lack of professionalism and interest in assisting me as a customer and extreme lack of urgency is the reason I had to spend money on a rental car.  I do not believe it had anything to do actual hours of the repair or the number of individuals ahead of me, just their blatant disinterest is assisting a customer.  I did escalate the behavior to their service manager explaining the level rudeness.  I also explained that recalls are not the fault of the owner, but of the manufacturer and I would expect the service departments would be doing their best job possible to keep safe cars on the road.  I never received a respond from the service manager.  Luckily, we have choices in Houston.  I called another service center in town.  I did not explain my frustration about River Oaks to the other dealership as I wanted to see if I would get the same rude behavior and lack of customer service.  I received quite the opposite.  I was told they make the recall a priority, they set an appointment time for me to come that would require the least amount of wait time, the appointment time was at my convenience as well so I would not miss too much work time and they confirmed with me over the phone they had the parts in stock.   I would highly encourage any consumer to avoid the service department at River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and use other service departments in the area that are more willing to provide basic customer service and common courtesy for their customers.

I LOVE my Jeep From River Oaks Chrysler Jeep and Dodge!

I can't say enough about my car buying experience with River Oaks Chrysler Jeep and Dodge! I have driven a Mercedes GL450 SUV for 7 years now and I was ready for a change. I decided I wanted a Jeep Wrangler. My sales associate, Santana Franco was very knowledgable about all the differences between all the different Jeep models, and was able to help me figure out which one would be the best for me. Unfortunately, I am pretty picky and they did not have exactly what I wanted in their inventory. I wanted a Rubicon X without a viper hood. Santana took me over to meet Blake Helfman and explained what I was looking for. Blake assured me they could get me the Jeep I wanted and they could add whatever accessories I wanted as well. He put his team to work and got me the vehicle the next day! Jim Edmund was instrumental in working out the deal to get the Jeep there so quickly, and my sales associate, Santana made sure that vehicle didn't go anywhere until I could come in and sign the papers (I was out of town for a few days.) The paperwork was painless, and it went by so fast! I was so surprised!
I also wanted to add accessories to my Jeep. Jackie Chau, who is the accessories sales manager there at River Oaks, was awesome! I brought in a picture of another Jeep I had seen on the road. She and Mike were able to tell me exactly what the parts were and gave me a price right away. The parts were all there in a few days, and they even offered me a loaner car while all the work was being done. The work was done in the time expected and I just got my Jeep back today. I can't say enough about the service and quality of the work. I am SOOOOOO HAPPY!  Thank you River Oaks Chrysler Jeep and Dodge!

Judging by the other reviews, it appears that when you're lucky enough to deal with the right people, this place isn't too bad.  Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for me.
I had been shopping around for new Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and River Oaks had the model I was looking for.  Went in to the dealership, looked around, talked to one of the internet sales people and they gave me a quote on the model I was looking at as well as valued my trade in.  Two days later I emailed the internet sales department several times but didn't get a response (getting them to respond to voice mail or email was impossible). Finally got the sales person I dealt with on the phone and put a deposit on the Jeep I wanted.  I asked to have a few things done to the vehicle and said that I would pick it up the following week.  This was on a Thursday.  On Saturday, I went in to look at the Jeep.  The salesperson walked me around and around, then back to the office, then, he left and finally came back to tell me the Jeep had been sold.  Huh?  Honestly, the fact the Jeep had been sold after putting a deposit down mildly annoyed me.  The fact that the sales person (Will Scanlan) did NOTHING over the three days since the deposit was made reeked of blatant incompetence.  If you DO decide to purchase a Jeep from here, do yourself a favor and don't deal with this salesperson.  Anyway, he said a similar Jeep was in transit and would arrive in 10 days.  He also said that he would attempt to locate another similar model locally from another dealer. I accepted that and left.  Did my own search and found several similar models and emailed this info to him on Monday.  No response.  Called and left voice message. No response.  Now, by this time I would have normally told them to kiss my a** and gone elsewhere.  However, they had offered the best deal so I continued to act professionally towards them even though they could care less if they sold the Jeep to me.  Definitely a "hey, we are high volume, if we don't sell it you we will sell it to someone else.." Not knowing where else to turn I reached out their general sales manager, Jim Edmund (what a tool).  The conversations started out with me saying "hey Jim, I'm working really hard to buy a Jeep from you guys but so far your sales people have made it impossible. We have an agreed to deal in place but...". At this point he cut me off and said "well, there are plenty of other dealerships around, perhaps you should go to one of them".  Surprisingly, I didn't end the conversation there (again, trying to save some $) but I decided fairly quickly that this is the sort of guy that contributes to car salesmen having a bad reputation.  Anyway, promises made about getting back to me, finding a vehicle blah blah blah.  Never heard from them again.  I ended up going to Texan Jeep yesterday and bought a Jeep from them.  They actually beat the deal offered by River Oaks and were great to deal with.  The sort of transaction where when you're driving home in your vehicle thinking "that went well".  So, my strong advice?  Go elsewhere.  If you do go here, don't deal with Will Scanlan or Jim Edmund.  No exaggeration, these guys don't care if they sell to you or not, they just ride the fact that they have a good location that generated a lot of traffic.

This dealer was excellent at helping me locate and buy a truck for my husband. I half expected to be treated differently because of being a female and shopping alone; however, they were truly exceptional. They helped locate a very hard to find truck, they personally picked it up and delivered it in the same day and they were straight shooters when it came to pricing. I highly recommend them! The sales consultant Oscar exhibited high customer service and he was also very knowledgeable of trucks. Jim the sales manager was also exceptional. All around an excellent experience!

I just traded my Buick Verano for a Fiat that was transferred to River Oaks. Every year I trade a vehicle and I was wanting something  different.  Dean Francis assisted me with the purchase and I am very pleased with entire transaction.  Too often it takes too much time to get out the door. Dean helped make the entire transaction quick and go smoothly.  Very good communication by all folks involved.

Horrible customer service. I don't even know where to begin. My vehicle went to the body shop and I was working with Mike. He needed an extra day to complete the work requested, and I told him I was going out of town and he could just take 5 extra days. We made arrangements to pick up the car between 6-8pm with the cashier. When I arrived, the jolly peach of a cashier knew nothing of my vehicle. I asked her to speak with someone who could help me, like a manager. She must be scared that the dust will fall off her if she gets up because she only pointed to the mangers desk instead of calling him over and making him aware of the situation. I asked the manger if he was a manager and he said he was one of them. I explained my situation to him and he was telling me everything that he can't do. I said what can you do? Finally he called the body shop manager (yay for finally taking a bit of ownership and attempting to resolve a problem, way to go buddy). About 5 minutes later he get a phone call back and told me "Well you got lucky tonight". I said you guys got lucky, not me, you're the one that is not ready for our appointment time. He was quick to wash his hands of the problem by telling me he is "just a new car sales manager". From what I know about being in management is every problem is your problem, this manager has no leadership abilities....except maybe to watch youtube videos on cellphones in front of me while I wait for him to do something. My car was finally brought up front, with scratches still on the hood. I told the guy who drove it up I couldn't accept this. He was actually the most helpful person there and apologized for the situation. The young man was probably the only decent person working there. Once this transaction is completed, I will never return to this dealership. I work in the service industry and could never give this bad of service to someone.

I traded in my 2009 Rubicon for a 2013 Sahara and could not be happier with the experience.  My salesman, JB Emmons communicated honestly and openly about the Jeep I initially wanted (a gecko green Wrangler) and pointed me to better value for my money.  I never felt pressure to enter into a deal that I was not completely comfortable.  This is the fourth vehicle that I have purchased and my first from River Oaks, but it was by far the best experience.  I highly recommend this dealership and JB Emmons.

Disappointing.  I'm new to Houston and was used to the awesome service at Love Field Jeep in Dallas. I went in to river oaks with two requests, an oil change and car wash. The oil change happened easily enough but then the guy tried to sell me a differential fluid change at 20k miles. I'm not an idiot but they seem to think I am.
Their car wash consisted of getting the jeep wet. They didn't scrub it at all and no vacuum. Same bugs still stuck to it. I asked the guy to please wash it again he gave me attitude and walked away.
The cashier was also unhelpful. I inquired about a military discount and she said I would have to go find a manager to approve it. She couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone and ask.
I will go elsewhere next time.

My business suffered during the 2007-2008 economic downturn. My credit took a real beating. I met Dean Francis in the River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Dodge Used Car Department in 2009. Dean worked diligently to secure a car loan, but could not. He spent time advising me on the route I should take to rebuild my credit as quickly as possible. I followed Dean's advice and returned to purchase a 2010 Jeep Patriot from him in the River Oaks Used Car Department. I have since purchased a 2011 Ford Mustang. If you want a salesman that will treat you with respect and patiently answers any questions you have, pre-owned salesman Dean Francis is your man.

I am tickled pink with my new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited!  It's all I thought it would be and more...it's so much fun to drive!  I also want to express my sincere gratitude for everything Mark G, Will, Lionel, Priscilla, and Peter did for us in getting us into this vehicle at the right price and all!  The Internet Team is SUPERB and made the buying experience efficient, effective and easy! You will not be disappointed.

What, I cant leave negative stars?   I purchased a new thirty one thousand dollar Jeep in late October 2012.   (My third vehicle purchase from this  dealer, two used).
A  long list of  vehicle warranty issues had piled up at only one thousand miles, so I dropped off the vehicle.  After three days with no loaner car I was called and told the vehicle was ready.  What I wasn't told was "NOTHING" had actually been repaired.  And in fact, the off center steering wheel was now worse than it was prior to the visit.
I contacted my Salesman and asked for help trading this lemon in on a used car.  I was put in direct contact with one of the owners, who offered to help me with my unpleasant vehicle purchase.   The used car manager with the help of  the owner Helfman then proceeded to de-value my 1000 mile Jeep six  thousand dollars as a trade in on a used vehicle.   When I asked by the used car manager about his alleged "DEAL" and my outrageous depreciation, he commented that "he needed to make a profit".
So, with elevated  Chrysler Assistance, the vehicle was returned for a second five day stay.  Same result.  This despite there being Chrysler Service  Bulletins covering several of my warranty issues.
The facts are that this Dealership went out of it's way to ensure my new vehicle was not repaired.   Rather than assist a customer, they blamed their lack of service skill on Jeep Chrysler.
I was lied to by the service advisor, who never bothered to follow up with me on any of the unresolved issues, and twice called after 5:30 PM to tell me the vehicle was ready  to ensure that he and the Service Manager were long gone when I arrived.
My vehicle is still in disrepair.  And I am out of pocket more than $250.00 in rental vehicles attempting to get it repaired.
Buyer Beware of this low life operation.   The purchase of the vehicle was made easy at this location.  however it is quite evident the service ends directly after the sale is completed.  As an auto technician employed just a mile from this dealer, I am proud to say that because of this experience I have steered  seven potential Jeep customers away from River Oaks to date, saving them from an experience like mine.

Purchased my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee from John Eisenbrown at River Oaks Chrysler just three weeks ago, and couldn't be happier with my experience. Great selection, minimal haggling, effortless finance department and hands on management made my purchase worth bragging about. Thanks guys!!!

I had a great experience buying my vehicle at River Oaks!  The entire process was very painless and easy and the customer service was wonderful.

I communicated only by email with Mark who did a great job finding exactly what I wanted and gave me a great price quote.  Also, I want to mention that he did not overwhelm me with calling and emailing like other dealerships did but was good about periodically staying in touch until I could make it out to the dealership in person.

When I was actually able to go to the dealership they had already sold that specific email (which I was ok with as Mark had offered to safe guard it previously for me but I opted not to).  When I went to the dealership, Mark was busy with another customer however Lionell, the Internet Sales Manager, quickly stepped in and helped me.

After Lionell did a lot of searching and gave me several options we decided to order my vehicle.

Between ordering my vehicle and having my trade in appraised, my entire experience was so good!  River Oaks does a great job and I would recommend them to anyone!

The bodywork done on my vehicle was completed two days early and, despite being extremely busy, the staff, especially David Hatfield, treated me like their most important client.  The work was fantastic and they work on all makes of vehicles (my car is a Nissan).  David always takes great care of me and my vehicles.  In fact, this is one of the few  body shops my boyfriend will take his car to.  There is a rental car place right next door and the staff will drive you back to your work/home, two convenient options.

Let me start out saying this was the best car buying experience I have ever had. No Hassle what so ever, they offered well over blue\black book for my trade.

They also worked very hard to get the interest rate that I wanted.

12/12 The reason its not five stars: When I purchased the vehicle, I was told they were out of inspection stickers and they would inspect it when I came back for the tags.
Upon returning, I waited nearly an hour AFTER the tags were installed for an inspection sticker.  This is much longer than you wait at any inspection station.

6/13 So I made an appointment to have windows tinted over a week ago. So I took off work and went in today early for the appointment and was told they couldn't get to it. Apparently the appointment means absolutely nothing.

What a joke!

My family has bought cars/SUVs from here for 30 years. The people are so nice and the owner is very personable. They don't try to sell you what you really can't afford. So happy with my new car. Painless experience.

The rear view mirror on my 2002 Jeep Liberty got knocked off by an apartment gate. Being new in town, I called around to several Jeep dealerships before settling on this one because it was close by and they had the part in stock. On the phone, they quoted me $250 for the parts and service needed to fix it. When I brought the Jeep in , Steve Gregor in the service department came over to take a look. Within 15 minutes (and a lot of struggling), he had manually fixed the mirror. He smiled and told me to have a nice day. This guy literally saved me $250 and was glad to do it, even though it meant not making a dime. I could not believe it! I am so used to people in the auto field trying to sell me stuff I don't need (Jiffy Lube, I'm talking to you!) Since then, I have taken my Jeep to Steve for oil changes, tune-ups and repairs-he ALWAYS tries to help me save money. For example, the Jeep got backed into last week and had some scrapes on the bumper. We got a check for $350 from the other guy's insurance company. I took the Jeep in to show Steve and instead of trying to have us pay him to replace the bumper, he told me to buy a $10 bottle of touch up paint because fixing it wouldn't get me anymore on a trade in. I just painted it myself and it looks fine now. I haven't bought a vehicle here so I can't speak about that part of the dealership, but I can tell you that Steve and the service department are awesome!

Hmm...I wonder if this car dealership is reading the same newspaper everyone else is. Or, if they are reading the same online news source I should say. Seems like if your CEO is flying to Washington D.C. asking for a bailout, you'd be a lil more in a hurry to sell a car. Guess not, which is why I'm not in "upper management" lol.

I want a Jeep Wrangler. I've always wanted one. I have an SUV now, and I figure now that gas is going down, and I can afford it, I want a second "pleasure" vehicle. So, I've started my craigslist search for a good used jeep. In the meantime, I've began scouring the dealerships, hoping to find that gem in the rough.

My search led me to this place. What a bunch of jerks. Honestly, they could have had my exact jeep (black, ragtop, w/sound bar, V6 and 5 speed) and I still probably wouldn't have bought it. The sales person totally didn't listen to a thing I wanted, instead tried his hardest to "put me in" a new Jeep Wrangler 4 door. Nice, but no. Then he kept wanting to "bid" my trade. I'm not trading Beula (that's my current car's name), but he kept saying I could get "top dollar". Hell, it took me turning 30 to finally afford a Benz, not getting rid of it lol.

Overall it was a shady experience. I eventually left after speaking to him, then the "Closer" came out and tried to wrap up a deal on a new one. Sad thing is, I was actually sold on a used one I found myself out in the lot, but was completely pulled away from it and told a new one would be better and financing blah blah blah... I don't finance so it would have been a lay down car deal..

Such is life. I'd just stay away if I were you.
