After trying to negotiate deals with other Kia dealers and failing, we finally made it to Joe Myer with a promise that Jason Taylor, our Kia sales rep, would work with us. Having been screwed and lied many times from other dealers, we came. Wow~ He is the most nicest, patient, and helpful sales rep I've ever worked with (I kept changing my mind). He definitely bent over backwards and I finally got the car for my dad the same day we walked in (10:00PM, they even stayed late detailing the car). Richard was the manager who we saw face to face negotiating prices...managers never show their faces to customers. And FINALLY away we go in our new 2013 Kia Sorento SX fully loaded. Thank you, guys!!

I've had the worst experience here these last 2 days. I bought my Kia Forte back in 2012, and for the first time I am highly disappointed in their service department. As a Kia Owner I brought my car yesterday due to a noise it started making. I waited about 2 and a half hours before someone comes to tell me they wouldn't be able to get to my car today. I come back today (as I was told to do) I wait another 2 and a half hours before they tell me to "go have lunch and come back in an hour and a half" I ask will my car be ready before 3pm today to get an answer of "probably not" now I must come back for the 3rd day in a row. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LACK OF ORGANIZATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I came in to service my KIA after moving from out of state. The mechanics were very helpful and even helped me with the inspection and registration process. Being new to TX, it was nice that they explained that to me! They did not pressure me to have any services done that were not necessary!

(I bought my SUV on the used car side (Joe Myers Imports) so am posting to both JM Kia and JM Mazda)

I recently bought a used 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport from Joe Myers. From start to finish, my salesman Manny had my best interest in mind. He was knowledgeable, knew what my budget was, and what type of specifications and tech I wanted most in a car. He answered my questions honestly, and quickly - he knew his stuff!

When it came time to make a deal, he worked very hard to stay in my budget, and did. It was a great experience working with Manny on everything sales wise when purchasing a used car on the Joe Myers Mazda/Kia side. If you go there, make sure to ask for Manny - I couldn't believe it when they told me he was new to the team, he was that polite and knowledgeable.

When it was time for financing, I worked with Nathan Smith. Nathan was also very knowledgeable when it came to the process, and had the patience to explain to me in great detail when I had a lot of questions of what I was signing. He made me feel very comfortable and understand what the contract entailed, and he worked hard to beat the financing rate I had coming in (I secured it prior to coming to the dealership.)

All in all, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I would recommend Manny and Nathan to anyone looking to purchase a car in Houston!

I GIVE THIS DEALERSHIP A THUMBS DOWN!!!!!!!

This is the most absolute worse dealership to ever go to in the state of Texas! They will want to know all your financial information before you even look at the prices of the cars. They will even try to bully you into buying a car before you even know the price.

They are very unprofessional, aggressive and liars! When I told them I no longer wanted the car, the guy from the Finance department threaten to repo the car when I said I will bring the car in. Because he wanted to ruin my credit score.

After going back and forth to this dealership I finally got my car back that I wanted to use for trade-in value. Be careful if you buy a car from them because they will most definitely f**k you over, take your money and charge you triple!

I had a wonderful buying experience at Joe Myers Mazda. They went through great lengths to get me the car I wanted. They beat every price I had been given on the new Mazda 3 sedans and got a top of the line trim at a lower price than the lower trim! Exemplary service. I dealt with Michael Deal, general sales manager and Eric (forgot his last name). Never once did I feel pressured or like I was being taken advantage of. They really worked with me and didn't try to force extras. I highly recommend this dealership and would absolutely buy from them again. 10 stars for excellent service!

Took my "daughter's" 2009 Kia back to Texas from Denver.  She bought a new car and gave us back "her" car.  When decelerating - at around 22 mph - the car would shift REALLY hard from second gear to first gear.  We took it to Joe Myers Kia and worked with Troy in the service department.  He told us that he would try "rebooting" the system first and if that didn't work - then we would need a new transmission.  He rebooted the system and the car works PERFECTLY.  Troy was very patient with my never ending questions - and honest.  Thanks for a great experience.

One suggestion. STAY AWAY FROM JOE MYERS FORD. I am here in Houston visiting my family and was having break issues on my Ford Escape, so I brought my car in to Joe Myers Ford Service Department. Upon getting the car back, first off the steering wheel was COVERED in black, greasy handprints. Apparently Joe Myers doesn't install sinks in their service department so that the technicians can wash their hands before getting in your car.

Now, the part that REALLY makes me mad. I get home put the car in the garage. The next day I go out to the garage to clean the grease out of the INSIDE of my car and as I'm walking away from my car I notice I giant gash on the rim of my wheel, a big slice out of the tire, and a slice through the plastic area underneath my rear driver side door. Now here's the thing. In the parking area at the service department, my mom and I both went around to check each tire for cracks and other issues in case they needed to be changed because I am about to move to Denver and don't want tire issues on a 17+ hour drive. We saw absolutely NOTHING like this..and these were big gashes...there's no way it could have been missed.

So I call the guy who was helping me in the service department, tell him the situation and he says to come on in and they'll take a look at it. When we get there he says that although he's the one who handled everything with my car, it was someone else who did the "walk around" and would have noted if anything was messed up to begin with. Then he proceeds to get the Service Director, who immediately looked at the gash and said it was rusting..."it's been there for a long time." My mom, dad and I bend down to take a close look and there is very obviously NO RUST. This goes on for quit some time, and he also proceeds to say that the car was "curbed" (where these razor sharp curbs are, I'm not quit sure) and then changes his story from rust on the gash in the rim to dirt. He also changes his story from the car being "curbed" to "it probably wasn't curbed, that's just the term I used."

Long story short, they did not admit to damaging my car AND I ended up taking to my car to another mechanic because I still kept hearing break noises (the reason the car was in the dealership in the first place) and it turns out they did not even check the rear brakes.

Ridiculous. Do NOT go here!!!

Not Hated it- But DETEST IT- This is a place where I must say, it deserves a -3 star, a 0 star would be too good. This is the paragon of a dealership people need to AVOID!!!! Avoid this dealership, just like you can apparently see from previous reviews, this place is the definition of "insincerity and beguile". I felt bad for a new salesman that looked like a kid! I had no problem with the salesman, but seriously, this place is one you have to avoid if you want to save time. Its always a risk to go to a dealer, but personally, I have dealt with a large number of dealerships and salesman, and I gotta say, this is the worst yet. The manager was called in- to speak further about the deal and claimed there wouldn't be any dealership out there who would accept our offer (that's typical of managers), and after spending some time there, we had to leave and told him to call us if they agree to the price we had offered (which was very reasonable). A day later they called us -knowing we had a very VERY busy schedule- and told us to come by the dealership- by that time I was tired of the games and I insisted that we would ONLY come in if they settled on the price we offered. After the manager continuously peevishly repeated that we should visit him to "talk about it" he finally claimed that he would be willing to abide by that price. It seems like that's a tactic for them to bring the person in and that way- the people will be more willing to save the time and buy the car! Very trashy and tawdry. Guess what? we got there, and they again claimed they couldn't give it to us at that price!?? The next day, we went to Jeff Haas Mazda dealership, and their service wasn't only outstanding, but our experience was simple and phenomenal. They were willing to comprise, our salesman used to be in the US Marines, and he was a man of excellent firm character, and the manager was very reasonable and willing to compromise. In conclusion, if you don't want to waste time I DO NOT RECOMMEND JOE MYERS dealership!!!. Absolutely one the worsts experience I've had in a dealership.

Joe Myers Ford

We were treated like first class buyers all the way. Our sales rep, Curtis, was never pushy. We explained to him what three cars we were interested in purchasing. He explained the price differences and packages. We test drove two of the cars and made a decision.

Credit work is always a pain but the financial people up stairs worked with us. Unfortunately, we went on Columbus Day and all the banks were closed. The next day Janette from finance contacted us a got us an even lower APR that on the original agreement! These people are great and you will never feel pressured.

I already pooped on Don McGill with my other review, so I thought I'd say something nice here about Joe Myers. We needed a new vehicle after I wrecked our other. I needed a new Toyota dealership since DMG and Sterling McCall were on my poop list, but since we had a month of car rental credit with the insurance, we weren't in a rush and were willing to stand firm and not get screwed. Not really a concern here. Unlike Don McGill or Sterling McCall, these guys will sell you as basic a vehicle as you want as opposed to sitting around and upgrading it with dumb stuff while on the lot (note: hologram paneling/super tinting/etc). We wanted a basic Tacoma and were able to get exactly that. The price was exactly right on (and a 2010 in 2009, no less) and the sales person was cool about us thinking about it for a day or two. Financing was the best experience I've had yet. We went in and said we want X rate, we don't want any add-ons and we want this done in 15 minutes. He got it done in ten. I've taken hours, been there til midnight at some and even been put into preterm labor fighting with the a-holes at Sterling McCall. This was easier than buying a money order, and the numbers were super fair.

Service has been excellent as well. The guys seem to know exactly what they're doing and will proactively explain to you a process. It's really a different experience. Toyotas are the best (seriously), and it seems like these are the best guys in Houston. We kissed a few frogs to find our prince, but I'm happy we found these guys!

Kia side of things:
I was in a pinch to by a new car (my car was totaled) but I had been looking around about a month before anyway. I knew exactly what I wanted and most importantly at the price I wanted it. I emailed all the dealers in the greater Houston area, did a little working over, and got a straight up response from Joe Myer's Hung Pham. I couldn't believe the deal I was getting, so I had to check it out. It was completely legit and he worked it perfectly so that I was happy with what other's may consider a "trade off." He offered me the test drive car (it had 180 miles on it). For $1000 bucks off and added tint and pin stripping that was already on the car, I was in and out in a jiffy. Just unreal!!!

It was late so we drove off with the car that evening (!) and came back the next evening to do the finances. Being that we are honest people, we notified the finance guy that he had undercharged us by $1000. Being a reasonable guy, he threw in a couple bonus maintenance packages to thank us for our honesty.

It was painless and I feel completely satisfied that I got a fair if not better deal for my  money. Vrrrroom Vrrrroom baby.

P.S. Don't be alarmed when you see the Mexican wrestlers on the front of the Kia protion of the dealership, yes those are their tv adds. Keep it cool, their adds might be goofy, but they are legit.

There are a number of negative reviews out there on the great intarweb on Joe Myers so I was a bit apprehensive to deal with them .. they proved all those naysayers wrong!
SO..how  & why I ended up buying from them was I did an internet price quote via a car review website.  I got a prompt reply via my preferred method of contact , email.  Only followed up by a phone call days after I did not reply. I had contacted other dealers in this same method & only Joe Myers respected my time period to buy & preferred communication methods.  I was looking at a similar car at another dealership , but they just couldn't match the price at Joe Myers.  I got exactly what was promised ( they had to find my car at another dealer & not once tried to change my mind sell me what was in their inventory)  The "pressure" if you can even call it that.. to add some extras such as ding protection.. was minimal .  They did try to sell the extended warranty etc  & get us up off the 0% financing, but hey they are a business & need to make money. At the end of the day, I walked out with what I felt was a good deal on a car I love.  I think if you are a savvy consumer & do your research you will find this to be a very pleasant experience.
Note: This is for the Mazda portion,  Also I can't speak for walk in sales.. so if you are looking for a Mazda save your time & just email Matthew Guinn , the Internet Sales Manager.
