Terrible experience. The sales associate knew nothing about the car, incentives or rebates. He gave us the filthiest vehicle on the lot to test drive. Not only is that a driving hazard, but a sign they lack professionalism and caring. I wouldn't buy a car from this dealer if it was the only dealer in the Houston area. We will bring our business elsewhere.

I'll never buy another vehicle there again, the used car sales manager is a cheapskate. I purchased a used 07 Toyota FJ Cruiser there and took it for a ride and to have my mechanic give me his opinion. All was fine and went ahead and made the deal.
Next day, I go for a drive and get a flat tire. To my surprise and dismay when I take the spare tire cover off, I find its locked and I was not given a key.
I had to pay a tow truck to take me to a tire shop to have them break this lock off. Next day I go to Helfman to complain about this missing key and to have them pay for my tow and a new lock and key for my spare. Cheapskate manager said no and that it was not his fault, and that I should have paid more attention when I bought my car! Can you belive this BS!
The guy who sold me the car was embarrassed and offered to pay out of his pocket, but I would not make him do it.
Said thank you and good bye Helfman Ford. You will never have me come back again, please replace this SOB used car salesman manager if you want to have any return customers again!

Now this place is trying to prevent me from getting the oil change i was promised. Also, if you get David as a salesman, run for the hills. He is dishonest and has a horrible demeanor. DO NOT BUY Your car from this place. You will regret it.

If, - God forbid - you are ever in a car accident, DON'T take your car to Helfman Ford's body shop.  Our car has been there almost FOUR weeks on a job we were originally told would take two.  Sadly, they can't even seem to come up with a good  excuse for the delays.  We've  received the same one 4 times in a row ... "Infinity sent us the wrong parts".  
Not once have they offered a different explanation or taken any responsibilities for the delays.  I tried speaking to a manager, but their standard response is to point out my ignorance in the fine details of their work.  
I guess customer service goes out the window when the insurance check is in hand.

I would not recommend getting your car fixed at the body shop here. They took a week longer than expected. They also put a crack in my window and now are claiming it was there before (it definitely wasn't). I really expected more out of Ford, but I was severely let down.

Great service department. Big screen TV, recliners, and full vending machines...what else could you ask for? Foot massage and facials?....hey, you never know! This place rocks!

I took my truck in for an oil change and to have them take a look at my shocks. They had 3-4 different guys look at my shocks and were not able to find anything wrong with them. While I know SOMEthing is wrong with them, I like that result better than them simply saying "Yep, you need new ones."

Friendly service in the collision department. I've had to bring my car in twice in a little over a year, it seems people like to hit my car.  Like most places, it takes a few days longer than estimate to get it back. However, I'd rather have things done right so that doesn't bother me much.

Ive been up and down and all around Houston searching for a car dealership. I was looking for my first car and I set my sights on a Honda Element, but would settle for a Ford sedan or a fuel efficient compact sedan. When I came to Helfman I was looking at the Taurus but soon spotted an Element! I looked into a couple of other cars but I thought I was set on the Element. I met Lee while I was looking and chatted about what I wanted and my experience as a first time buyer. I knew Lee was different immediately. He was in no rush to sell me a car and he didn't pressure me into having to make a decision.
    In fact, I walked away from the element, thought about it, test drove another car and then realize what I was looking for was all wrong. I reevaluated my criteria and came back. Lee showed me a 2010 Ford Focus that just came in and it was awesome. We looked into the price and was able to get something in my criteria. From there Lee helped coordinate my financing with my credit union.
      HOWEVER, Like Geoffrey mentioned there was this guy in financing who was overbearing and rushing for me to sign. I felt uncomfortable and skeptical of the deal. However lee reassured me by letting me know he usually tries to avoid sending his customers to him and everyone else was busy. The gentleman came off very harsh and I felt dominated by his presence.
     But Lee, didn't let that sway me from my overall experience. He pledged to help me with little issues I have had with the car. I took away a great car buying experience,  a good car, and an even better contact with Lee.

Just bought a car from here. The salesman, Enoch Murphy, was really nice and good. I give him an A+ or 5/5.

I came in with a printout and price estimate from Consumer Report Car Buying kit.. and usually when i buy cars this way I get a really good price without negotiation.
This car buying kit just gives me a list of the MSRP but also the "target" price I should expect based on the market etc.

And this experienced salesmen knew it's best to just make a quick sale. I talked to another car salesman and he told how young guys just like to hear their own voice and waste time, but experienced older salesmen usually label someone like me as "an informed consumer" and thus just go for the quick sale.

But Enoch Murphy was great.

The guy who took my money (finance guy or whatever) was upstairs in this really uncomfortable office. The first guy I talked to, I thought, was the finance guy, but it was really just this guy trying to upsale me on buying tinting and some extended warranty stuff. I was actually interested in this tinting service, until he informed me that i'd be purchasing it today but probably can't get it done until like a week later. So I told him i'll just buy it then... and then he told me that this offer will like expire today.. I just told him no thanks (and I think he's lying about that but not sure).  

I just wanted to give them a check and leave.

The actual finance guy really was unpleasant...  he reminded me of the stereotypical jerky salesman mixed in with an evil lawyer. He overall kind of creeped me out since he seemed to be practicing all these weird body language or psychology tricks on me.. didn't get it since I was there to simply sign the papers and give him a check. I  DID want to read the paperwork but he just wanted me to sign faster. I didn't even ask him questions, I just asked him if I can read it before I sign.

He then said to me "You are planning to buy this car right?" That really pissed me off and it was basically a deal breaker. I was 100% sure I was going to buy the car and then 100% ready to cancel the deal.. based on the upstairs office experience. But then I remembered Enoch Murphy and I didn't want him to lose the sale because of this guy.  

But I definitely felt uncomfortable with the finance guy.

Enoch Murphy, the salesman, was very kind and gentle. Maybe he uses other approaches for other customers, but I will definitely buy another car from him if he can promise me that I won't have to deal with a rude sales person when signing the papers.

One more thing: I told the finance guy that my insurance company didn't approve the switchover yet so I was kind of worried about driving without insurance, even if it was one day. He told me not to worry about it. I think that might be incorrect and illegal for me to drive without insurance for one day also I think maybe technically he shouldn't be having me sign for the car yet until I get insurance approval. Luckily by the time I got downstairs after closing the deal, I checked my email again and my insurance went  through.

What an awesome experience!  I have purchase several cars from dealers in the past, Helfman has been the best by far.  I scoured the internet for about two months before finding my Ford Flex...I drove in from Austin and had the best customer service ever.  ASK for SCOTT ADAMS...he made this transaction the easiest and best car buying experience I have ever had.

Here is the rundown of how my rating fell to two stars:
1. Quick response from internet team. Plus
2. Called me to setup my "VIP" appointment. Plus
3. Arrived and was greeted then walked inside where the employee yelled to the salesman and pointed to me " you got one here" he says.
NOt quite VIP but no biggie. Minus .25
4. Walked back to lot and was shown the most expensive trucks the have, only 15-17K out of my price range and not at all what we discussed.
Minus 1 point
5. Test drive was the over priced truck that was filthy could barely see through windsheild. Minus half point.
6. Second test was in more expensive truck that was even more filthy (these are ne vehicles I'm driving ), my girlfriend said she saw ashes were she was sitting in the truck. Minus
7. They tried to knock my head off for my trade, expected! no deduction.
8. Showroom office smelled of smoke and thats not cool. Minus
9. After repeated attempts to negotiate I explained what I wanted exactly, after being pitched on the truck that I didn't care for ( most expensive of course). Minus
10. I explained before leaving that I would be interested in negotiating a vehicle that costs less and to locate that vehicle and call me.
11. Heard from the Helfman survey team the next day to ask about my experience. When I gave bad reviews they quickly thanked me and disconnected.
Never heard back from them. I do understand that it is a business and they need to make money but I was quickly turned off by the method in which they conducted it.
