Never take your truck here for a theft insurance estimate. I dropped my truck yesterday (Thursday) at 11:00AM to get an insurance estimate done, left it over night, and now its Friday evening at 5:00PM and my vehicle has not even been looked at! Very piss poor service if you ask me!

Take your vehicle somewhere else for quicker business!

Mike White was fantastic. Very efficient and respectful with my time. We quickly got to a deal at a good price that made sense for him, the dealership, and himself.

This place clearly doesn't care about safety.  My wife's care was part of the GM recalle (because the ignition could turn off while driving) so I called about getting it fixed and they told me it would be a month and a half until they could get the part.  I called back two months later after not hearing from them and was disconnected once and tossed to three different departments who all told me they don't have my information on file.  I told the last service person that the care sometimes wouldn't even start.  I asked if they could call another store to see if they had the part, to which he said no, indicating that if they couldn't perform the service they wouldn't help me.

If you care about your safety or the safety of anyone driving in your car, you won't take your car here.

They completely replaced my transmission free of charge under Chevy's 100K power train warranty (I was just a few hundred miles short) without any bother or questions.  They were nice and courteous, made the repairs in a reasonable time, and even covered a few days of rental car for me.  When I had issues (loud banging noises) a week later because the torque was simply too tight, I brought it in and they immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem and I was on my way again.  I only give them 4 stars because I feel I may have been lucky that everything was covered under warranty and it would have quickly gone south if that had not been the case.  It was unfortunate that I had first gone to Demo's, who didn't mention the warranty and instead took out my transmission, pressured me to buy a new one, and then charged me $1000 to put it back in.  But I have nothing bad to say about Davis Chevrolet.  Thanks, guys!

I would advise against doing business here.  I purchased a new Chevrolet truck, and they still owe me the 2nd set of keys.

Same thing as I previously stated, except months after writing the review, I received a letter from Chevrolet with an official statement that there was a manufacturer's error and I could get the problem fixed for free. It's too bad I had already paid $700 to get it done. Wow.

I received the dreaded "recall notice" in the mail for my cute little Pontiac hatchback a few weeks ago.  As Pontiac is no more (sniff) I was told I could go to any GM dealer to receive my free replacement part.  With a name like "powertrain control module" it sounded kind of urgent, so I called up Davis Chevrolet on the recommendation of my pops, who has bought several cars from them in the past.  I made my appointment on a Friday to come over the subsequent Monday, and showed up right before 7 to hand over my baby.

Service advisor Bo was there to meet me as I was driving through.  He had me fill out a few forms, and then sent me on the shuttle so I could get to work on time.  Later that day I got a call from Bo telling me the bad news: they didn't have my part in stock.  I was a little bit peeved and wished whoever I'd talked to on Friday (not Bo) had checked before I went through the rigamarole of dropping the car off and getting it back, but I made another appointment for Friday when I was assured that the part would be in.  I technically could have gone earlier, as they found the part in a warehouse in Ft. Worth and had it overnighted to me--but as I had class on Wednesday and Thursday I didn't have the luxury of time.

Hours for the service department are great.  They start at 6am and end at 7pm, giving you plenty of leeway to get your car in without taking off time for work.  The shuttle starts up at 6:30.  I hopped on the shuttle at 7am and was delivered to work (both times) no more than 10 minutes later than my usual arrival time.

On Friday I got the call that my car was ready, and when I picked it up it had been given a complimentary car wash.  My steering wheel didn't have that greasy mechanic's feel, either, and they'd put down a butcher paper cover over my seat.

Despite the slip-up with the part not being in stock I was really happy with the service I received at Davis Chevrolet--but like anything car repair-related, I just hope there won't be a "next time" I need to use them.  *knocks on wood*
