Reviews on Clear Lake Infiniti

I was looking for an infiniti QX56 and found the best priced for exactly what I was looking for at this dealership. I was greeted by Mr. Pal who was incredibly helpful and thorough. I ended up coming back and buying the car from him and had nothing but good experiences from him and Mr. Jeff Stone. I also want to praise Mr. Wheir for his incredible knowledge and help making sure we were aware of everything we were buying. They made us feel very welcomed and have no complaints whatsoever :) I would buy from them again in the future.

I was very happy with the price and the service I received.  They were the most competitive priced for a qx80.

Went to the dealership last saturday to test drive and perspectively purchase a new QX50. I had an appointment with Cameron Thomas, but when I got there he directed me to another salesman and said he would be with me briefly, but he never came back to help me out. So, I proceeded to do a test drive with Lee Van Damm, who rushed through the test drive process and seemed to know little about the vehicle. He didn't even ask me what colors I wanted prior to, he just pulled a random vehicle off the lot. He also interrogated me about where I work and even asked to see my business card (I guess because he didn't believe me, I'm 23 but I look younger than that). When the test drive was over he tried to talk me out of wanting the technology package for the car because they didn't have it available. Then he quoted me a ridiculous price, I gave him the AAA pricing that I had and he still came back with something higher than that, so we left. Overall horrible experience, I was turned off from the beginning.

Clearlake then sold her trade in listed as clean on Carfax when she had told them abotu the car being in an accident.

They bought back the bad car they sold her, and then turned around and posted in the internet with a clean Carfax report.

I bought my car here in 2005. The sales staff was excellent then. The service on the maintenance & service side has been excellent as well over the past 7 years.

A+++. This dealership is just awesome. Out of all of the service departments I have had to deal with (BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota, Range Rover) Clear Lake Infiniti has been the best. I always dealt with Robert Faust as my service advisor. I did a 3 year review over the service and customer service and will be releasing is as soon as my warranty is expired. Out of the 3 years I took the at in about 5-10 times for mainly maintenance and the occasional warranty work, every time I pull up there I am greeted and immediately put in the system and given a loaner car and would be on my way. I wood then get a call telling me how long the service would take and at what time I would be able to pick up my baby, which might I add would be cleaned and detailed ready for me to enjoy the car.

If I could give this place a negative number of stars, I would.  I stopped in to look at used cars.  I found one that was a great deal.  Eventually a salesman came out to talk to me.  He clearly didn't know what features came with the vehicle, and he kept answering his cell phone while I was talking to him.  I think it is incredibly rude for a salesman to interrupt me to answer his cell phone and have a conversation isntead of paying attention to me, his customer.  I went for a test drive and once we got back to the dealership, he told me he needed five minutes so he could take someone else on a test drive.  Apparently they had made an appointment.  I had not, so I was annoyed, but not upset  by the salesman once again ditching me.  After about fifteen minutes, the salesman returned and we went inside to discuss pricing, upgrades, etc.  He kept making up reasons to leave his desk (get something from the printer, talk to the finance guy, etc.), but it was obvious he was working on a few different deals with at least three sets of customers at the same time.  I signed the paperwork to purchase the car, and then I was sent to the lounge where I was told "The finance guy has some new car deals he needs to take care of.  He'll come get you when he's ready".  I guess my purchase was somehow less important to him than a new car deal.  I think that is offensive because I was still spending a considerable amount of money on the vehicle.  After an hour, the salesman came back and told me that a new car deal just came in, so they would get to me after that.  I was clearly displeased because I had been waiting for so long.  Roughly an hour later, the finance guy came out to talk to me.  He said he needed to make some phone calls and would be right back.  ANOTHER hour later he returned and took me to his office.  He told me he called two people and gave me the details of a pretty crappy financing deal.  I had another bank I wanted to try, but they were closed for the day (it was Memorial Day).  He said that he would get the car ready for me (windows tinted, etc.) and that I could talk to him the following day and then pick up the car after I got off work.  I was so sick of sitting in the dealership that I just said fine and went home.  I called them back the next morning and much to my surprise, they had SOLD THE CAR I BOUGHT THE DAY BEFORE!!!!  They told me they would have to see what happened and would call me back.    In my opinion, this is unacceptable.  The salesman was rude, I waited around for HOURS so the finance guy could make two phone calls, and then after they assure me I can pick up the car the next day they sold it!  This is a TERRIBLE place to buy a car!!!!

After researching countless forums for prices of certain cars and reading consumer reports, I made a decision to get a G37 Journey.  This review will not include the price at which I got the car for, but it will be a very harsh and critical review about customer service.

First off, while bargaining for the price of my car, the salesman and finance guy BOTH SAID AND AGREED to a deal.  I was happy.  However, they tried to confuse me later by adding numbers in to finance papers that essentially reversed the deal that I wanted (ie they said I was going to finance for a certain amt that was two thousand dollars over what I said I would pay).  I was about to sign the papers and didn't even notice they had "padded" the final price of the car.  When I confronted the salesman, he acted like he didn't know how to do math.  Its simple addition and subtraction and he still feigned as if he was innocent and that the papers the finance guy drew up, were indeed correct.  When I asked to see the finance guy, the finance guy tried to use tactics like talking very fast and acting as if there was nothing wrong.  First of all, I'M FREAKIN ASIAN.  I CAN DO MATH.

Once we were done with annoying finance guy, the salesman said they would take my car to detail it.  I'm thinking, wow, its a good thing because they're trying to save me some time.  I checked this car out before going in for detailing and after it came back, it had a chip in the drivers side window.  What kind of car detailing do you know of where they chip the damn window?  Anyone know of a car detailer that chips windows?  Cause if you chip windows all the time, you should totally look for a job here at Clear Lake Infiniti.  When I told the salesman he needed to take care of that, he looked shocked.  He said, its so minor I don't think you really need to fix it.  Again, I'm wondering, "What the hell did I get myself into?  Isn't this a LUXURY car dealership?"

Also, right before driving the car off the lot, we looked under the hood to make sure they filled up the fluids, and to my surprise, NO.  It was pretty much bone dry for windshield wiper fluid and I had to also tell them, you're giving me a tank of gas.

In conclusion, if you are not a very attentive consumer who does not do research or pay attention to details, do NOT come to this dealership.  They'll try to swindle you at every chance they get.
