DISHONEST SERVICE: I took my Xterra to the service dept. at Central Houston Nissan with a steering problem. They quoted me $2487 to do the repair, and never mentioned any recall. Later, I discovered that this problem was part of a recall of the steering column shaft and should have been covered by warranty service. When I went back there to ask about it, the Service Manager did not apologize, but he said it was my fault for not reading their paperwork more closely. I have filed a complaint with Nissan North America Customer Service. I do not believe that this service department provides honest and fair work, and I would recommend that Nissan owners should take their cars elsewhere.

I spoke With Chris Bennett after online inquiry of getting a car for my partner. I was  straightforward of my credit standing and my partner's no credit history. He really worked hard for us to get approve and didn't give us any false hope. By Monday, after I turned in all our requirements, I got approved. i got  Nissan 2015 Sentra  the next day since my partner works out of state. We're both happy after patiently waited for Chris to work on our application for a good lender. I highly recommend him for those  future customers who are having difficulties in finding better car deals. Also, Kudos to the rest  of the staff who are courteous and approachable.

This has been hands down the worst experience buying a vehicle ever.....Here goes, on 3/2/2015 I signed the deal and it was final. Today is day 43 and I have yet to receive my registration and I have been given every excuse under the sun as to why I haven't received my registration. I have had to file a complaint with DMV because of this ridiculous wait. I was told by Chris Bennett before I purchased my vehicle that the other day he changed the brakes, the rotors,  and performed an alignment all of which were 100% FALSE. Chris continues to this day to blame me for the delay of registration and won't take responsibility for his contribution to my horrible situation. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about buying a vehicle from here to seriously reconsider and go elsewhere. I have not interacted with the staff at BakerNissan North but I would consider them as an alternative. I received my registration after 44 days on 4/15/2015.

This dealership is full of scam artists. Do not believe a single promotion they run. Bait and switch is their MO. I received a mailer leading me to believe I had won a 4 wheeler, but when I arrived I was informed I needed to take a survey and a test drive before they would reveal to me what I had won. Fortunately an honest woman told me that my actual prize was a $1 lottery ticket so I didn't waste any more time. Their lobby was fully of angry people with the same mailer who will undoubtedly never return to purchase a car. The salesmen are more interested in cigarette breaks than helping potential customers.

I honestly suspect a possible "Texas deceptive trade practices act" violation.

I was lured into Central Nissan by a very deceptive sweepstakes flyer that inferred that I had won an ATV when, in reality, I had merely been suckered into the dealership by a cheap and,questionably,  legal advertising ploy. Along with several other duped families, I waited to verify my prize while the salesman's only interest was in pressuring me into a sale. The manager couldn't care less about customers and should be fired. The scheister who owns this place should be ashamed of stooping to such advertising techniques. I will never buy anything from Central Nissan and ask that all prospective Nissan customers do the same. Save yourself the grief.

Just got a new lease from here.  Was there foreverrrrrrrrrr and they gave me my new car with only a quarter tank of gas and forgot to give me any floor mats.  The guys seemed like they had no clue about any car lease or purchase deals.

I would not recommend this dealership at all! They are very deceiving and misleading! Don't fall for anything they send you in the mail either because it is a skam! It's their way of getting you into the dealership and they aren't willing to negotiate any prices either! Complete waste of time! They appear to be desperate for business too! I will be taking my business else where!

First off, let me say I used to have an Infiniti before my Altima, so I MIGHT have a skewed opinion of service, but......I'm still VERY unhappy with the experience I had here and if my car ever needs so much as a windshield wiper in the future - this place is not even on the list of options.

One morning on the way to work, my car dies on me.  I have AAA tow it to Central because it was close to where I broke down (I've always had my service done at Sterling McCall Nissan).  When I get there, the first thing they tell me is they are too busy and booked up to even look at the car that day.  Ok, fine.  Then the rental they give me is a BASIC Nissan Versa.  So basic there aren't even power windows/doors!  I handed them a 2011 3.5 SR with Technology package and they hand me a blue Versa booger for a rental - I was near undone.  At Infiniti, you get the level of car you hand over to them at least - never a downgrade.  Hell, I felt like less of a damn citizen in that booger........  Anyway, back to the tale.  So the breakdown was on a Tuesday, they didn't get to even diagnosing it until late Wednesday - the alternator was bad (duh, battery and brake light were on - Nissan speak for alternator issue) Then the guy starts rattling off all the 'recommended' services - mind you, I keep it dealer maintained at Sterling McCall so they couldn't see the records.  Why are you suggesting things I've just had done?  When I tell the guy I have an extended warranty for the repair NEEDED - he sounded disappointed.  Yea - you're not going to be in MY wallet for this, call the company.  Which he proceeds to take until FRIDAY to magically get in touch with them (mind you I called multiple times on the same days and got a rep quicker than free Chick Fil A gets eaten up).  Since it was Friday, the part had to be ordered - but to be there Monday, I had to pay an extra shipping fee for faster delivery.  And.... keep the booger over the weekend.  I actually ended up borrowing my mom's extra car over the weekend because if I had to roll down the window manually at Starbucks one more time, my shoulder was going to become dislocated.  

Finally at the END of Monday - the car is ready.  Praise sweet baby Jesus!  I felt like I was bailing a relative out of county (not saying I am familiar with that process, let's just say I have some 'friends' that have done this).  To top it off, I complained to the "Service Manager" about the whole situation and he tells me I am the victim of the situation - NO responsibility for ANY of the issues or delay.

Couple of new edicts for me based on this:

#1 - for as long as thou shalt still haveth this car, thou shalt not taketh it to Central again.  
#2 - when thou shalt purchase a new vehicle, thou shalt return to the Infiniti family posthaste lest ye be left in the purgatory of poor service by this lesser brand
#3 - thou shalt findeth a rental company on thou'st own and never again accept a vehicle of lesser caliber than the one you even had in college.  

So it is said, so shall it be!!!!

Only good point - they do a dealer wash that's better than a Mister Car Wash $30 detail package.  But given the choice, I'd rather drive my car around shyt stained than return to Central for a.single.thing.

The salespersons were very unprofessional and dishonest.  Took me 3 hours to deal with price of the truck that I was interested and showed me different one that showed "Cheap ONE" without price tag on the window.  Also internet sales were full of "Bait and Switch".  I felt so stress, did not buy and walked out.  They were so PUSHED me to sign for purchase with that crap truck!  I will never go back there.  I found a new truck from Mossy Nissan that was total different and more professional and Honest! I bought one from Mossy Dealership.  I am very happy!

I walked out of here as fast as I could after stopping in to look at some Muranos. Maybe it was that I went on a Saturday, or that I had an inexperienced salesman, but my experience here was horrible and I will never go back.

The salesman was raunchy, making inappropriate comments to me and a friend I brought with me. He did not know anything about the car and was demeaning when I made statements about the cars from what I had learned through research and shopping around. When we sat down to talk about pricing on the cars I indicated I may be interested in, he had clearly not listened to the pricing I talked with him about and he showed me pricing for vehicles that was over $7,000 above the value of comparable vehicles I looked at with other dealers. He then attempted to make me and my friend wait extended periods of time while he "talked to his manager," yet I was able to see that he was often not speaking with the manager and was standing around with other salesmen. I ended up leaving after he tried to go "talk to his manager" for the 3rd time, as I had told him I was on a tight schedule and he was not respectful of that.

I did not buy my car from here, and will not return for any future purchases.

I'm giving this place 2 stars.  This isn't the worst place to shop for a possible newer vehicle, but it isn't the best either.  2 days ago I found a 2014 Atima on their website that I was interested in checking out.  I emailed the internet sales manager yesterday and when I met up with him he showed me the car.  As he walked away I just sat in the car and couldn't help but notice that the interior of the car I was sitting in wasn't the same as what I saw online.  I left because it was quite cold out and I wanted to cross check the VIN # from the car I was shown and their website at home.  The VIN # did match but again the interior pictures online just didn't match.  The radio display was smaller and there was no center speaker but the pictures online had the bigger radio display and the center speaker.

I then emailed the internet sales manager and told him that the pictures didn't match what I saw online.  His response "Which interior were you looking for in the Altima"?  I then emailed him with the link to the car and that my previous email explained everything.  Sigh.  Please continue reading.

Also, back in September I was interested in a 2014 Altima.  I found the one advertised on their website and went through the motions of negotiating, and the internet sales manager and myself came to an agreement on the price.  

He brought the price and papers to the people at the desk and I followed.  They printed out some paperwork and showed me what the price would be if financed through Nissan.  I looked it over the prices weren't matching.  I questioned this and they said it was dealer add-ons.  I mentioned that nowhere online and on the sticker of the car did it mention that there were dealer add-ons other then a spoiler that they installed.  I then proceeded to tell them that I wasn't going to pay for the extra add-ons.  

I remember that one of the add-ons were wheel locks, and I told them I didn't need nor want wheel locks.  They wouldn't budge on the wheel locks and the other 2 add-ons, which I don't remember.  Now I am aware that dealers make some money on add-ons but I felt that there was some deceptive advertising and the $1,400 of add-ons where overkill and would eat into their profit on the car.

I can't in good faith recommend this place.  The power the consumer has and the old school management practices that this dealership practices in my opinion ruin this place.  I honestly can't buy a car from this place.

This is a review about the new car sales team. I liked my salesperson, who was there only for the summer. He had great amount of knowledge on Nissan Versa and Versa Note. We had great conversations while test driving different models.

The downside was the sales manager. I was pretty determined to pick out a car with the features and color after weeks of research. I communicated with the salesman by text and voice mail messages. I decided to come in to decide on a specific model - sedan or hatchback. He prepared my dream car by raising the seat as I normally do. When it got to the sales office to get the "numbers" going, I felt very uncomfortable. Because I thought this was a quick process. I already told him that I needed to weigh my options of a trade-in value or put some down payment and keep my current vehicle.

The "numbers" were so attractive and I couldn't resist. I was contemplating on which of my 2 vehicles to trade to prevent buyer remorse. I told them I need to think about it overnight, as I expressed my gratitude toward the salesman that I rather deal with him than going elsewhere. But my keys were held hostage. Doesn't matter what I said, sales manager just didn't want to let me go. Instead of helping me, he kept avoiding me. I was hungry, tired and stressed. My distasteful memory of him acted like the Terror Dog from Ghostbusters ( m.gbfans.com/fans/art/gh… ).

He delayed by pretending to call "appraisers" to get a higher trade-in value. Uh, I was not born yesterday. He already pushed me to the farthest edge. Rather, I did what Confucius said, "Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses."

I was there for an hour and a half just for some "numbers". I thought to myself, wow, how can I ever buy a new car in this pace?

After three weeks of shopping for an import ... Toyota , Honda, Nissan , Volkswagen . I realized all four brands  have great features overall I chose Nissan Houston central because of the staff. My sales consultant Chad and sales manager DeMarcus were true professionals. They understood my needs and found the right vehicle for me. Nissan central is a very busy store, but everyone is willing to help !! Keep up the good job!!!!! Thanks again for welcoming me to the Nissan family!!!!!

I typically try avoiding going to dealerships for maintenance on my 350z due to the excessive pricing and time they require, but I have to say the service I received here was exceptional. One employee definitely stood out in regards to his exemplary service knowledge and courtesy, a gentleman named Gerrin, at the service department. He provided direct answers to all my questions over the phone and made sure to help me when I came to drop off my car in a matter of minutes from when I called. He gave me an honest ballpark quote of how much my the repair to my car would cost, and fair enough, my car was ready for pick up on the same day (keep in mind this was a busy Saturday) and the total price was right on point with what he had quoted. When the car was ready, Gerrin went out of his way to find me on my way out simply to make sure that I was satisfied with the result, despite being busy with another client. He's polite, direct and made the experience pleasant. If you need you Nissan worked on, find Gerrin! Thanks!

When I bought my car I did not have the best experience at first, but I got over that still deciding to use this dealership for any service I may need.

A few months ago I brought my sentra in because the breaks were making a horrible grinding sound and to get checked for two factory recalls. Upon arrival I was told that recalls didn't apply to my make/model but they would check the breaks. After 2 hours with my car and taking it on a test drive, I was told that they could not hear the noise and found no issue with my car.

I recently moved to Florida and brought my car to a Nissan dealer to get the breaks checked since the horrible noise persisted. They immediately told me what was causing the noise, also noting that it was a bulletin put out July 2013 for my make/model. I was then also informed that there were two recalls for my car that they would check/fix for me (these were in fact the recalls I was told in houston did not apply to me).

I am so thankful to be done with this dealership forever. It was never an enjoyable experience--no matter how many chances I gave them to make it better.

Once you sign the papers and you hand over the cash, they forget you exist. Been trying to contact (phone, email, in person, etc) for over a month now to get some standard features (keys, manual, etc) and they blow us off. Seriously?

Avoid this place.

The service center here seems inefficient. I had an appointment and still ended up waiting way too long to get processed through.  The only reason I came in was for warranty work on a brand new vehicle, otherwise I would go to my personal mechanic.

The leather seating had defects in the grain, which I had changed out.  The free rental was nice, but I still had to make an appointment during the week which is inconvenient for most people who have day jobs.  

When I got the car back there were some stains on it and the seats were not put back together properly.  Luckliy the back seat popped back into place allowing me to close the 1 inch gap between it and the seat back.  I'm not so sure if it would be safe in a major crash though.  The front seat is still not flush with the frame around the bottom, but I dread going back.  It's just not worth jumping through all the hoops.

The staff was very friendly, but I think I will continue to see an independent shop for work on my vehicle in the future for the convenience.

My wife and I were in the market for a pre-owned car and trying to decide between the Nissan Murano and the Toyota Highlander. We were on our way to a test drive at the Toyota dealership next to Central Nissan and decided to turn into Central and test drive a Murano. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, no fewer than 8 sales persons (vultures) started toward us, two of them at a dead run. I quickly turned around and exited the premises without ever setting foot in the building. They could have the best product on the planet and could have been giving them away yesterday and I would never have known as we were so turned off by this initial experience that they immediately lost our business. I can only imagine the hard sell tactics had we exited the vehicle.

As much as I HATE "dealing" with dealerships, this experience was very refreshing.

    I needed some parts for my Altima and this dealership had sole possession of it in all of Houston. The gentleman helping me out very freindly and professional and gave me a much bigger price break than I anticipated.

    The waiting area for service department is very minimal and strictly functional. Not ostentatious like some I've been given an inferiority complex in.

I truly had a great experience at Central Nissan! My salesman Chris Bennett was wonderful!  I was honest about my credit issues right from the start & I knew what I wanted & he was honest about what I can get but assured me he was going to get me approved & I was going to roll out of there in a new vehicle & that I was going to be happy with my pricing & pymts. I had so many other dealers prior to Chris telling me what I COULDN'T get because of my credit issues, but Chris told me what I CAN get & I did just that...I got my new vehicle!!!! It was such a blessing for me! I'm so glad I replied back to his email after I initiated my inquiry on line. In 3 days time I was in my new ride!!! The process was very easy, no hassle & he worked it out. He had this wonderful guy, Alvin, follow up with me the next day & scheduled me to come in to get my new vehicle & in no time I was in my new ride!  I'm so happy & this was truly a blessing! Alvin was so nice,  professional & kept me posted throughout the process while Chris worked it out!  And Tony was excellent in sealing the deal with a great package with my new purchase.  Central Nissan was the best car buying experience I ever experienced!! Chris was so down to earth, upbeat & energetic & made this car buying experience that much more great!  Thank you so much Chris Bennett,  Alvin,  Tony & Ayda!! God bless you all!
