Eh, back in my day I'd go to a parts store and describe the issue I was having and the old experienced gearhead lady/gentleman behind the counter would give advice on what the issue is or how to install a part.  These days, that's very rare and instead I have to wait for a while for someone to show up to the front while i hear giggling in the back.  

Then when the 17 year old looking guy shows up, I tell him exactly what I need - in this case a blend door actuator and have to repeat it a half dozen times and watch him type it in wrong as "blendor"  
"no it's two separate words, blend and door"

"Noooo, blend space, door then controls the blend door so you can control the ac/heater temperature"
*blank look*
"blend door acetu..."

Eventually I got the part, but god damn kid, you work at an effing parts store - at least fake some interest in you know, car parts.  

Eventually, you'll get what you need like the other stores, but you'll feel like Hank Hill.

First time I've walked into an AutoZone, told them my problem and they said they can't help me.  I came in knowing I had a blown fuse, but not sure witch and unable to pull them out of the box to check.  Given past AutoZone experiences at other locations I expected them to have a way to test the fuses,  suggest a way to get them out of the box,  or at least go look under my hood and pretend to care.  Perhaps I just expected to much.  Guess I'll just take my jeep and my business elsewhere.

customer service is ok although could improve in inventory they didn't have some parts for my Acura RSX.

This store always seems to be pretty busy, and it must be because their customers are satisfied. I needed a battery, and Alfredo was very helpful. He switched out the old one for the new one and took some extra time and trouble to clean up corrosion products that had formed around the terminals and wires from the old battery. Even though it was hot out, he was cheerful and didn't rush. Very nice service. I will be back. (Well I hope I won't, but you know what I mean.)

Just five minutes down the street, I think I found my neighborhood auto parts shop. The general manager was very very very helpful, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. It just made me want to take my car to him every time to get fixed even though it's just Autozone. They have free service for check engine light, battery change, and I think even a tool rental. Call them and they will tell you. One of the employees changed my car battery and he was very patient and persistence. He almost gave up because one of the parts were stuck shut and wouldn't budge but he managed to pull through and got the darn thing off. Not a great explanation of what I'm trying to explain, but because he didn't give up it left me feeling like a happy customer. Shop was very organized and neat. Not very busy at night but I'm guessing they are during the day. I would definitely come here if I ever need anything again.
FYI if you leave your battery with them you won't have to pay the extra $12.00 fee.
