I just got an unbelievable deal for my trade in and walked off with a brand new Kia soul, they worked very well with me, didn't hassle me and made the car buying experience fun. I was mistreated at many other dealerships, but Mike Cohn was fantastic. I highly recommend! I love my new Kia! :)

The 5 stars is for the service department. I have had my Kia 2 years now (bought at Moritz across town) and this is the only service dept. I use. They are professional and friendly. They do the work in a timely manner and the price is not outrageous. I found their oil change prices to be comparable to kwik kar so why not have it dealer done. I also have to mention the lady cashier at service. She always has a smile, which is so rare these days.

Michael, Thank you for the wonderful experience for the third time at Moritz Kia in Texas. I appreciate the professionalism that was received from your department with Laurel, she did a great. We will continue to bring faithfull buyers to your dealership. I thank you for the internet experience I had in looking at your stock and began a relationship with them. Thanks again!

I have been in half the car dealerships in the Metroplex at some point.  Either on my own or with friends looking for a new car.  I would say that this one of the worst.

Here's the game they run at Moritz as I discovered with a female friend:

a) They have "internet" prices on their website to lure you in.  I assume these are meant to be no-haggle prices.  They are certainly lower than the other dealers in the area and seem comparable to what you should expect to pay based on what you see on sites like edmunds.com .

b) When you get in, you never deal with the internet salesman--you're handed off to another guy.

c) This guy tries to wear you down over a period of hours by selling a more expensive car and giving you and throwing in other things like a tint for $500.  Personally, I've bought 2 new cars in the past 10 years and both dealers were willing to throw in a tint for free--so I'm guessing it's not a $500 value.

d) If you finally make it through the salesman and into finance with a price that you can agree on, the entire process starts over again.  They try to add on various warranties and then talk down to you if you don't accept it.

e) And then they screw around with the financing.  They told my friend that they couldn't do better than 6.9%  When she stood up to leave, they miraculously realized they could go to 4.9%  Why couldn't they just say that up front?  Could it be because they're jerking people around?

I don't know if the experience is different for other people.  Perhaps they were just looking to take advantage of a woman or a first time car buyer, but the whole thing makes me doubt their credibility and not want to do business with them.  There are plenty of other car dealerships in the area, but they seem to not realize that.
