Too much back and forth game playing on the price and financing. They always claim they are losing money to make the deal and we have purchased several cars from this place over the past few years. You easily spend hours trying to get a car financed with them and they make you feel like they are doing you a favor. On the last car purchased they said they had no rebates available but one day after signing papers the commercials were all over TV about 3500 in rebates. Not happy with the dealership at all.

I contacted Meador Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (MDCJR) via AutoTrader after hours over the weekend. I was impressed at the quick response time. I received an email within a few minutes that seemed like an auto-generated response however it was from an individual person's email address, but signed by someone else "Melvin" entirely (?). I replied. I got another response asking if this was a "good email to send information to?" I replied "Yes, please contact me about this car". I instantly received another email "Isabel is working on this and would like to give you a call. Is this number the best number to reach you on during the day?". Yes, I replied.

I gave my contact info and waited. Monday morning came and I received no contact. I called the dealer late morning and asked to speak with Isabelle. I left a message. No callback. I waited until 3PM. Then I called and asked to speak with "Melvin" who turned out to be another manager, like Isabel. I said I was having trouble reaching Isabel, described my situation and what I wanted to accomplish.

Finally, we were gaining traction. After the phone call, I send an email to "Melvin" and got an instant reply that he had received it and was getting to work on it. This was about late afternoon. So far so good. So I thought.

Day three. No email or calls from "Isabel" or "Melvin". I receive an email first thing from the auto-generated response again (so it seemed) from an individual person's email address, but signed by "Melvin", asking "I just wanted to follow up and make sure Isabel got you all the information you needed; did Isabel contact you?"

NO.

After some more searching, Isabel did send an email which was forwarded to me, since they claimed to have sent it. I called Isabel immediately. By this point, I spoke with Isabel about three times, all of which were a chore to obtain and no rapport was established. I was starting to turn sour with the amount of work I needed to do in order to buy a car. Not to mention, from a dealer three hours away.

The deal offered was a bit off from what I wanted for my trade which I expected. I understood that it was a sight unseen number with the promise of being better in person. I was trading down for a higher-mileage newer model. Their conditions were I needed to do the deal before the weekend. Ok, sure, not convenient for us but I relented, with our condition that all the paperwork be ready and car be ready when we arrived so we would be in and out within an hour, to travel the additional three hours home.

At that point, I wasn't at all happy with the experience or vibe so far, but the car (as represented) was of high enough interest to make the trip.

We set an appointment. I called to inform them an hour before our appointment that we would be arriving an hour later. We arrive and are immediately informed that the car needed brakes and was having them installed and the oil changed. IT WOULD BE ANOTHER HOUR. Not happy.

We waited a little over an hour, was shown the car. IT WAS FILTHY. Not washed, coasted with a layer of dirt, very dirty inside and had significant body damage. I thought to myself - this is a dealer, not a backwoods car lot. This can't be right. I was very unhappy now. Then we were told the seat belt receptacle didn't work. I was told that the "tires were good" over the phone when I asked for a photo. They had about 3/16's left. I was offered compensation to have the seat belt fixed (on my own). That number wasn't enough to cover the parts and labor. Now we are two hours deep into the "in-person" visit. Thankfully the car drove well.

Since it drove well, I decided to make a deal with some negotiation, which was not a great deal. It was slightly below fair. They moved ZERO from their "already discounted advertised internet price" said they "could not offer me the $150 free gas card" which was advertised on their websites FOR ALL INTERNET DEALS because "they used that money to pay for the seat belt". That's BS. I don't care about what your losses are. They are to sell me a car with safety parts in working order to INCLUDE BRAKES, TURN SIGNALS AND SEAT BELTS, HEADLIGHTS, etc are they not? it was not an "as-is" advertised car.

I was not thanked for the business and no one saw us off when we left. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are making HUGE money now on my trade which is advertised at their dealer online, ...on AutoTrader.

I still need to pay to have my car detailed ($200). Meador Dodge said "We don't have detailers, we have hourly guys that do car washes" Really? Then they really stink and shouldn't be working there. I asked "What do you do with the new cars?" "Oh, they get washed too". No detailers. BS! Total lie.

And the car needs new tires.

Overall - this hands-down is the worst buying experience I have ever had buying a car, and I've bought over a dozen in my lifetime thus far.

Buyer beware. They are so old school, they stink like your great-grandmothers unopened closet.

You can buy a jeep anywhere. But what happens after the sale shows the quality of a dealership.
I purchased a beautiful 2012 JK Sahara from Meador Jeep. Added a 4 inch lift,  35in Mickey Thompsons,  Rock Slide bumpers and mechanical step sliders. Needless to say, I spent a lot of money!   Make a long story short,  after a couple of years, the paint is chipping and the bumpers and rock guards are rusting underneath the paint. When I took my Jeep to a painter,  he let me know that my bumpers have never been prepped. They just painted on pure metal.
So, I called Luke, the sales director at Meador and explained my situation.  He told me to email pictures and let him take a look. After I emailed Luke the pictures,  I called and followed up to make sure he received my email. Luke let me know that he was going to get with his paint guy and get back with me. Well, after follow up emails and phone calls, I'm still waiting on that phone call. Again, you can buy a Jeep anywhere,  it's how you are treated after the sale that determines a quality dealership.  Dealer Rate and JK Form. So, when you purchase a vehicle from Meador and something goes wrong,  it's your fault!  Welcome to Meador.

I can't speak on anyone else experience here but mine was great but it had it moments. I live in Arizona and I have been shopping for a Dodge Charger for about 2 years. You might think I'm crazy because I waited that long but no it's all research and trying to find the best price. Anyways, back to my story. I was in the market for a granite crystal dodge charger rt blacktop edition. Cars.com helped me out with finding Meador Dodge who at the time did not have the lowest price for that specific car but was the only one willing to work with me. That's how car dealerships are suppose to do business if they want money. I was helped initially by Yaya. Great salesman who fought to get me my deal. The negotiation was minimal and I was surprised at that. They ended up getting me the best quote I have seen for this specific model with shipping included. Since I live in Arizona they helped me get it registered and everything in Arizona. One thing I must add is that I was not able to physically see my car until it was paid for and shipped to my house because I was not going to drive out to Texas. Yaya was kind enough to send me pictures from his phone of the car so I felt a little bit better. I put my faith in this place to deliver on the good and it paid off. I won't give you the specifics on my deal because it's business but I have to say I will tell my friends to go here if they need a car.

My husband and I worked with this dealership to look at a Jeep. Although our circumstances changed and we ended going in a different direction, I wholeheartedly recommend working with Darrell at Meador. He responded to our questions promptly and went out of his way to help us. He was very knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy at all. I do hope to have the opportunity to work with Darrell and the folks at Meador in the future.

We came here to test drive a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2013 Dodge Durango.

We were unfortunately matched up with "sales"person Debbie Clayton.

When we first got there and asked to test drive the vehicles, she took forever to bring them to the front.

Then when we actually went on the test drive, we asked questions about the vehicles and she had NO idea of any answers for anything. It was so annoying. My husband knew more about the cars from googling them than she did.

Third thing that made me very upset was that during our second test drive, she was in the backseat on her phone talking to another customer. We couldn't even speak with her as she was using her cell phone. It made the test drive extremely uncomfortable and very unforgettable... In a bad way. I felt like we were being set up on some TV show or something, it was THAT big of a joke.

Finally, when we got back after the test drives, we were very unhappy with the service but are far too nice to say anything. As we were walking out she whispered to me "I have to introduce you to our manager before you leave, and since you've decided not to buy, PLEASE tell them that it's completely you decision and that I did everything I could to serve you!" Uhm... Seriously? I DO NOT have to cover for YOUR lack of sales experience or technique.

She is absolutely pathetic and I really wish I would've let her manager know what happened with our experience.

I went in as a motivated buyer knowing exactly which vehicle I wanted.  Though this vehicle was priced in excess of $40K, apparently this wasn't enough to motivate the salesperson named Isabel.  I also mentioned I'd strongly consider making this a two-vehicle opportunity by trading in my wife's car and getting her a new used one.  Still, nothing could motivate Isabel, who failed to respond to my email sent first thing the same morning letting her know I was coming by the same day to look at the vehicle.  After test driving the truck and making it clear I was ready to deal via an email I sent her at 3pm, by 6:30pm she had still yet to respond.  Finally, around 7pm after still not hearing from her, I emailed customer service.  They asked for my phone number and said they'd contact me the next day.  Well, true to form, they didn't deliver either.  Bottom line:  Isabel is the absolute worst used car salesperson I've met in my 43 years and has no sense of urgency whatsoever.  After the fact, I've learned this isn't the first such complaint about her.  If you're interested in a vehicle from this dealer, do yourself a favor and steer very clear of Isabel.  Find someone who wants to close a deal because she's not the one.
