History

Established in 1996.

AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to "AutoNation, Inc."

Horrible customer service, very shady characters.  Walked in ready to inquire about a vehicle in Stock and no one approached me, I had to approach Gabriel P.  And even then seem shady. Bought the vehichle and was promised to fix something minor and when i called to collect he was extremely brief amd didnt seem to care no that he made the sale.  No one  cares if you leave happy the only motivation is the sale here. Avoid autonation go next door to the other dealership.

So after the comment being left on my previous Review, I messaged the representative and gave my phone number as contacting the garage on previous occasions and proved unsuccessful.
I then received a phone call from the sales guy who sold me the car, apologising he hadn't been in touch but would come back to me that day with an update for me. It is now over a week later, no email or phone call, which this garage have.
I have never experienced such poor communication and customer service before.
It was completely different when I was buying the car, they emailed me, called me, super polite, but as soon as there is a problem, they do not want to know.
This just re confirms my last review, I would never recommend this garage.

Will not go AUTONATION again.  I went in to buy an auto.  I had to go through a bunch of handshakes which meant nothing to me.  The negotiations were CORPORATE meaning they were doing everything they could to rape the consumer.  Was negotiating the price and thought the price was set.  They sent in another worm salesman trying to weasel out another $250 out of me.  I balked and threw my water bottle on the table.  Started leaving and the sales manager worm comes charging after me saying he could authorize it without the $250.  Guess the CEO wanted his pocket change which was a lot of cash out of my pocket.  Anyway, I bought the auto but found they made a killing on me.  I went out to the car and drove home.  I found a dent in the passenger door, went back to get it fixed.  They did the cheap method and did not totally fix it.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO AN AUTONATION!!!!!!!

John Beasley was a great service guy. My car was well taken care of and he made sure I got the lowest price I could. I got my car from her 4 years ago and have only used this dealership for any car issues. Never had a problem. I feel like everyone is honest.

Do not waste your time going here. Bought a previous vehicle here when it was Bankston and had a wonderful experience. They didn't have the vehicle they told me they did, their website quoted my trade at one amount and it was $3k less when I got there even though. They kept trying to sell me the wrong vehicle even though I told them I did not want it. Totally wasted 3 hours of my Saturday.

Bankston Ford has always made my buy experience excellent. My sales guy Chris Maderis does not pressure me like other sales man when it comes to purchasing a car. Thats why I always buy my vehicles here. The service center is really quick when it comes to getting my car maintenance. I brought my car for a scheduled maintenance which includes tire rotation and oil change. I also wanted my state inspection and the service guy told me they had 6 cars in front of me, and the wait would be 2 or 3 hours.  Well it took only an hour and that's what I call fast service!! They also hand washed my car as well! I highly recommend Bankston Ford to any car buyers! Excellent customer service.

D.C. the service advisor - phenominal. What a great guy - we had an issue with the F350 giving us a "wiring fault on trailer" warning. Since we did not bring the horse trailer in, they could not replicate the issue. Turned out it was a bad break controller - the 2009 F350s have an issue talking to the hydraulic breaks on trailers. They checked everything else though and got us road-trip ready.

Once we pulled into ABQ with the trailer connected and the errors, Bob Turner ford diagnosed the problem, and replaced the break controller.

Horrible customer service! They made my first time car-buying experience awful. I will never do business with them again. Very rude and unprofessional. They do not return phone calls and make arrangements for you that they have no intention of carrying out. It's been 3 weeks and they still have not returned about 5 messages of mine. Even the manager was horrible to deal with. Never again!
