Reviews on Allen Samuels Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fort Worth

I should of read the reviews first before going here. Their methods are junk and they just pass you from person to person like a $2 whore.

Inquired about a used vehicle and new vehicle they were both similar and told them what I have to trade and what my budget is. They have me fill out their online sight unseen appraisal stuff and it comes back with a fair but not great offer. I prefer to buy cars where the whole deal is made prior to me stepping foot their.
Well Internet manager doesn't have any authority at all on pricing. And they won't discuss without you coming in.  so I came in and I get there ask for the Internet sales girl (whose name I'm leaving out because I don't think she's to blame). She introduces me to the first sales guy that walks by and he's now the one that is going to help me. Ok fine.
Well we got to drive your car to the used lot and get it appraised.  You already did appraise it. Well we have to do it again and I need your DL. Ok. Talking with him on the short drive and tell him I want to look at the used one first as I should be able to get better deal on it. Oh then I can't help you. But I'll go inside and get a used car salesman.
Appraisal guy comes out takes pictures and starts his duty. 10 minutes pass and my car is back but still haven't talked with anyone. Then arrogant used sales guy is introduced. At this point I'm getting irritated. After 10 more minutes he Goes and pulls car around. Pops hood and I said ok let's drive it.  We got to go inside and get some information.  Uh ok. So go inside he asks for my DL again.  I said you already have it in your system because they just took it. He informed me that they have separate systems. Ok this is stupid. He then asks for my keys so they can appraise my car.  (At this point I feel I should be an honorary yogi). I politely tell him they already appraised it. He asked what did they offer me. I said I don't know. So after 30 minutes after starting this process I finally get to test drive the thing.
During this sales guy informs me his last day. (Oh this is getting better) how unhappy he is there and he's glad to be getting out of there. Then he's telling me how much below market value this one is listed at.  (Strange you have a brand new one at new lot within a few hundred $$$)
I like the vehicle and he asks what it would take and I told him. And here I know my proposition is possibly not doable. And a simple no would be ok. I tell him to discuss with who ever and call me as I need to get back to work. But does the tactic of leaving you by yourself for a long time while he goes and talks to the managers.  After I sit there for 10 minutes I decided I needed tiger back to work so I get up and start to walk out I tell reception lady to have him call me. And he sees me as I walk past the office they are all in. He and one of the managers hop up.  Give me some excuses and ask for 5 more minutes. I said fine and sat at table by the door.  Manager guy comes back out and requests I go back to his office. So I do he lays a "deal" on table. Gives me story about how his price is already 5k under where it should be. Look guy I have the Internet I know what your competition sells stuff for.
And gives me a low offer on mine. Lower than their sight unseen original offer. And mine is in good shape needs a good detail but other than that good condition car.
I said thank you for trying. But I told sales guy what I was willing to do. And if they couldn't because it didn't make them the money they needed to make then no problem I get it. You're there to make money. He said you can finance the difference.  I said no I told you what I was willing to do and I know what mine is worth and I know you should be able to come down on your price. (Which they didn't at all)
Anyway I said thank you and left. He asked if he could call me if he could get it to work. And I said sure knowing full well they aren't going to call back. After I've had time to think on it more, pretty much nothing would make me purchase a car from this lot. As a matter of fact this experience has swayed me off the brands they are affiliated with because I don't want to deal with their service department, which I don't know anything about other than the experiences of others I saw on Yelp.

This place hits every stereotype of a used car dealership. Even their new lot. It's a shame they have some really nice cars.

The only reason there is one star is that is the only way to write a comment..... Worst service department ever! Called a week ahead of time made an appointment only to find out I'd been better off getting there when they open.  You see, that doesn't make a damn bit of difference. I hate taking my vehicle to dealerships but when you get a recall you're forced to. I hate being an ass but after 6 and a half hours and a lot of bitching I'm getting my truck back.  You see... It doesn't need anything done to it.

Purchased my wife's Jeep Wrangler here - great experience - unbelievable price - highly recommend them!

Listen to this and the other reviews - avoid this place at all costs.

I recently sold my daily driver and had to take my Jeep out of the garage.  It doesn't get driven very much, so I decided it was time for a tune-up.  I mistakenly thought I could get some work done at this dealership.  It is a Jeep dealership, after all!

The work I would have liked to have done this past Saturday was:

1.  Oil Change
2.  Alignment
3.  State Inspection
4.  Parking Brake Malfunction
5.  Tire Rotation

If I owned a shop, I would look at a guy like me like a gold mine.  I drove up and ASKED them to do all this work, which they could profit from.  Instead, I left with 1 of the 5 services completed.  Just ONE.

Here's how it went down and WHY each service wasn't performed:

I pulled up to the "Express Lane" where (at most shops) someone would come out and greet you, asking what services you need performed.  No greeting.  I decided to get out and walk into the service shop.  SEVERAL employees without customers made eye contact with me, not asking if I needed help.  I had to say "HELLO?!" before someone said, "what can I help you with, sir?"  I asked for the following services and this is what I was told:

Oil Change - has been $19.99 for YEARS at this location (not anymore).  As the only service performed, l learned it had more than doubled in price recently.

Alignment - "that guy isn't here today."  The entire dealership has ONE guy that performs alignments and he's NOT AT THE SHOP at the time that PEOPLE WITH JOBS are available to bring their cars in.  This makes no sense.  Service was not performed.

State Inspection - I was told at the time of dropoff that this wouldn't be a problem.  2 hours later, I got a call that said "sorry, we can't do your inspection because you need someone with a Dyno.  We didn't know the Jeep was that old.  SERIOUSLY?  It has SQUARE HEADLIGHTS.  Anybody that knows ANYTHING about Jeeps knows that only ONE Wrangler series has had square headlights in it's 70+ year history.  1987-1995.  The shop said ANYTHING before year 2000 needs a dyno.  How was I supposed to know they didn't have a dyno?  I wasn't.  THEY were supposed to know how old my car was.  At least ASK!  State inspection was not performed.

Parking Brake Malfunction - the parking brake THAT WAS INSTALLED BY THIS LOCATION no longer works.  It does not hold the very light Jeep on a hill anymore.  That "guy" wasn't in the shop this Saturday either.  Service was not performed.

Tire Rotation - simple enough, right?  5 lug nuts per wheel and just ROTATE - too difficult.  They wanted FORTY DOLLARS to rotate my tires because I asked for the full spare to be rotated in.  The service guy told me "they get really finicky about that, so it's gonna cost ya."  I am being 100% serious - he really said that.  I called NTB down the road and they offered to do it free.  I saved forty bucks.  Service was not performed.

Take our advice, stay away.

Got a great deal on a truck here. Still could work on their communication but overall a positive experience.

This has got to be the WORST car dealership in the metroplex. Like another reviewer said, everything that you hate about the car buying experience under one roof! It's not by mistake, it is done intentionally to beat you down, wear you out until you finally just give up and sign. Forget about them matching their own newspaper ads or radio ad prices, not gonna happen. They refused to give me a price on a new Dodge Ram until I drove it first.... That's a typical tactic where they want you to fall in love with the vehicle first. Avoid this dealership at all costs or you will over pay big time!!!

worst car buying experience ever they quoted me a apr i even signed the docs only to find out 8 days later that it wasn't approved... i tried to contact the finance dept to find out who my lien holder was for 2 days not one return call until they relaized they didnt have a lien holder for me.  they also try to get all the money they can out of you my sales person jason was the only one that did what he said he was going to do.

The repair shop can't be trusted. Took our Entourage there with a check-engine issue. Turned out to be a cooling fan controller, which they gouged us $700 to replace. How could that require three hours of mechanic time? While they were at it, though, they tried to get my wife to sign off on a $160 coolant flush and -- get this -- a replacement of the A/C compressor for $857!

I asked the service manager why he was pushing the a/c compressor on my wife when the a/c was not broken. He gave me a convoluted answer about the mechanic hearing a "knocking sound" coming out of it. Lo and behold, when they got the cooling fan controller going, the A/C blew cold again! Imagine that. As for the "bone-dry cooling system" that the manager told my wife needed flushing ... he acknowledged to me it was just a low reservoir.

These guys are CROOKS. Go somewhere else.

DO NOT PURCHASE, I can assure you that you will regret it! This is classic get you in, tell you things that aren't true, once you sign on the dotted line they want NOTHING to do with you, and do not care if they sold you a bad vehicle. They want your money, and then want you to go away. There is absolutely NO customer service, the managers are always "unavailable" and they are extremely demeaning to females, I have witnessed that multiple times. STAY AWAY and take your business somewhere that actually appreciates their customers. Terrible experience with this dealership EVERY time I have tried to contact them.

Don't waste your time at this dealership. They will lure you in, then waste your time hoping to break you down into making a bad decision. Their sales practices are questionable and downright dishonest. They will outright lie to their customers to get them in the door. I wouldn't buy a car from these guys under any circumstances.

This is a disorganized dealership with poor communication strategies.

I really wish I could give them 1 1/2 stars because the car I purchased is fantastic. So they deserve at least a 1/2 star for that. I might love the car, but I hate the dealership.

At first they were super accommodating to my rushed schedule, they got me the car at the price I wanted to accommodate the payment I wanted. Signed paperwork the next day and drove off happy with my new car. 2 weeks later I get a call that they didn't get all the paperwork done correctly and to come back in. I asked if anything changed and they said it was all the same they just had to switch banks.

My fault for not checking the new paperwork before signing it, but I trusted them all when they said nothing changed. I've received my first bill and it seems the interest rate jumped 4.5% and the payment jumped $50.

Take the time to drive an extra 20 or 30 miles to find a better dealership. These people will have you running from building to building and once they have you good and tired they will bait and switch you.

My husband and I went by to look a new jeep.  First, the saleman did not even introduce himself and then when we wanted to test drive, we ended up having to go into the dealership, give our driver's licenss (no big deal due to security), complete a couple of forms and was asked if we were going to trade anything in.  Ummmm....we don't even know if we like the vehicle which is why we want to test drive, no clue if we are even going to purchase.  The process just to even to test drive a vehicle was about 30 minutes.  We finally decided to leave and my husband went in to tell them to forget it we would go somewhere else.  The Sales Manager Terry came out to apologize, but still a little to late.  Will purchase elsewhere.

This place is quite a let down, the staff has nothing better to do than to sit around and make fun of customers after they leave. I took my ram 3500 in for warranty work and they continually told me that the clunking noise was my clutch,(clutch costs 3000). Prior to this I put my truck on a lift and looked for this noise, it wasn't even on the front side of the tranny close to the clutch. The clunking was coming from the back of the tranny in between it and transfer case. Allen Samuels said due to the fact that they can't duplicate the noise,(my truck makes the noise every time I let out on my clutch) that there must be nothing wrong. They refused to work on my truck.

The service department at Allen Samuels Dodge in North Richland Hills, Tx is horrendous.  Their customer service in non-existent, their management is lacking, and the overall experience was awful.  We will never take another vehicle there to be serviced.  It took them three days to even figure out what was wrong with the truck, even having one of the technicians take the truck home for a night - putting 75+ miles on it - and gave it back to me with the gas light on!  Conveniently, not everything that needed to be fixed was covered under my full-service warranty and it ended up running me $475 for what should have cost nothing!!  Then, after finally getting my truck back, I get it home and it's leaking transmission fluid all over the driveway.  Note - I did not have the transmission worked on.  So I then had to take it back up to the dealership and have them fix this problem, a complete failure on their party to QC any of the workmanship that is done in their department.

Good vehicle repair places are hard to come by, but this one definitely should be crossed off of your list.

There's not enough words to express how bad the service department is.  Taking our Dodge Ram 1500 in for a minor heater repair led to FIVE subsequent trips for them to repair interior damage caused by a mechanic during the first "repair".  They destroyed the dash removing it to get to the heater and somehow put deep gouges in other parts of the like-new interior.  They forced us to pay for a new dash claiming it was an unavoidable and normal part of repairing a heater.  The 5 repeated trips over several weeks for new interior parts was just to take care of the other damage they finally admitted was done by their mechanic. It was unbelievable.

Not once did we ever get any expression of regret or an aplogy for the failure to return the truck in the same condition it was in when it was entrusted to their care.  They are incredibly lacking in any customer service skills on top of terrible technical skills.

Just be forewarned.  Check you vehicle, inside and out, with a flashlight if necessary, to look for damage before driving off the lot.  We got royally ripped off on the repair alone, but the interior damage was ridiculous.

Wonderful staff, from the sales man to the finance! My wife and I were very pleased! We had purchased a vehicle off their lot that they had acquired from a dealer in Oklahoma. After the papers were signed and the vehicle was ours, we come to find out that there are a couple of little dings on the hood so we take it back and they said that they would take care of it. The sales manager, curious as to why there were little dings on the hood of a brand new vehicle, investigates the VIN and finds out that the transmission was replaced at 75 miles and the dealer in OK didnt disclose that info to them!! I was livid and frustrated but before I had a chance to scream, Jeremy (sales manager) gives me a loner and tells me that he will find me an identical vehicle with a clean history and switch it out! I was so relieved! They were great and apologetic through the whole ordeal and they made sure that my wife and I were perfectly happy with our new vehicle! They did the absolute right thing and corrected the nightmare. The general manager even made it a point to come in and tell us how sorry he was for everything. When does that ever happen at a car dealership?
