Reviews on Southwest Kia Dallas

I have been dealing with the service department here ever since I bought my car from Southwest Kia two and a half years ago.
It's the worst experience I could have imagined.  They tell you that they can't hear what you hear, and nothing messes up when they test drive your car, only after you leave.  And when they finally do order parts then they don't call you when the parts come in.  Then when you come back, they say there's no record of the parts ever being ordered. This has happened to me on multiple occasions.
The service advisors have terrible attitudes.  I guess they are tired of people bringing their cars in with all the problems that they are having.  I have several major issues that have not and are not being addressed by the staff here.
I think they really don't want to fix anything.  Not sure if I can take my car to another dealer for service because I bought it here, but I am definitely going to look into that.
I will definitely never buya car from this dealer again, simply because of how bad the service department is.
The one star rating I have given is only because zero stars was not an option.

My sales team or shall i say my auto expert team - Madison and Ricky were wonderfull ,  I sure hope they stay will the dealership as I will be back and only want to work with them.

I did not like the long wait to test drive cars but  other than that - it was a good experience.

A great company that supports it's local community.

Look no further for your next car!

This review is for the video I saw online of this dealership giving a new Kia to the brave woman who stopped a fleeing suspect and possibly saved lives by doing so. When I saw that this dealership rewarded her, I was extremely happy that she got something in return and that someone cared. Great job!

This review is for the service department. Absolutely blown away by their knowledge, use of examples in explaining to me the mysteries of the car and their helpfulness.

I went into another service place *coughcoughfirestone* the week before to get my tires rotated. What was suppose to be a free service elicited a $1300 invoice plopped in front of me. I went to Kia distraught and hoping everything would be covered under warranty.

Daniel helped walk me through everything that was wrong w/ the car, used pictures on the internet to help explain and told me what I would need. He had patience to answer all my questions and helped me to prioritize my services. Everything but a $90 charge was covered under warranty.

Great service.

Cons - I didn't like the guy that approached me to try to sell me a new kia upgrade when I was in the service department.

I walked in wanting an advertised pre-owned Sportage to replace my totalled car.  The oh-so-sincere rep who sports an open bible on his desk (just so you will KNOW he is trustworthy) spent most of his time leaving me waiting while he consulted with the dragon-lady asst sales manager.  Click Click Heels.  Magical numbers. Lady behind the curtain routine.  The car came in from auction and was there 3 weeks, and it was the end of the month! They would not come down off the internet price! So I walked out.  Then raced to the other Kia dealer in South Dallas where the car I really wanted had sold the night before while I was wasting time with SW.  So I highttailed it over to Classic Chevy who had one just traded in for a huge Chevy Suburban.  They were AMAZING.  What a difference. Bought the car at a fair price in 30 minutes!!! I was rudely treated at each Kia dealership, and I wonder if it's cultural?  Not only was I treated well at Classic, but they sent me a tin of homemade choc chip cookies two weeks later.  PS -- I thought the open bible was truly weird and offensive.  FYI --  That has no place in a workplace where your clients sit at your desk.

I have bought two cars from this establishment in the last two years from the same guy. (Adrian Tate). I.LOVE.THIS PLACE! The customer service is amazing and if you know what you want they will get it for you. Yes you will have to haggle. I got a 2 year old Kia Optima with leather interior, GPS, Sun roof AND MORE for less than 270 a month and 3 percent interest rate. Then came back in 2013 and bought a brand new Kia Forte. Both cars are HIGH QUALITY and I put a lot of miles on these vehicles because I commute to work. They don't just sell you a car and brush their hands of you, today I got a flat tire that was un repairable. I called the nearest Kia for pricing on the tire which was central Kia of Irving. They were rude and took 10 minutes to quote me 108 dollars for one tire (and it wasn't even the right tire for my car!). I then called South west Kia and spoke to DANIEL (who is amazing). I explained the situation and he suggested I have my vehicle towed to them and because I was a loyal customer he said he was sure they could work out a deal on the tire. When I finally got to the dealership I was approached for help by three great sales agents, but DANIEL was handling my car personally :). In the end my tow was free and the tire was supposed to cost 130$ but DANIEL was able to get me a deal of 68 dollars! When you read these other reviews look at them...they don't make sense. Just remember that unhappy people are more likely to make reviews. I don't usually but i have to give credit where credit is due. Although this situation was an ordeal, I had a smile on my face the whole time because if their great customer service. When you go there to buy ask for Adrian Tate for car service, ask for Daniel!

In December I had my breaks inspected.  They were good or green which means greater than 6mm.  Shortly after I started hearing grinding off and on.  I am busy and first time I was able to take in was 4 months later.  Daniel wanted to charge me $20 to look at the breaks again. That the previous $20 inspection didn't involve taking the breaks off and the breaks was never taken off at all.  So, if they weren't taken off why did I pay $20 in December and receive a good status on the breaks.  I let him do the inspection and of course all breaks are not red less than 4mm and the price to fix them are $500.  Well they didn't to it right the first time or they are lying now.  My wife wanted the Kia.  I was a Nissan man.  I have never had trouble with a Nissan.  It always was quick and reasonable.  It took us 3days to get to a reasonable price to buy, and still not happy with it. I never trusted KIA and now my wife finally is interested in buying a new vehicle.  I asked her what brand she replied anything but Kia.

As of today I have received absolutely no response to an email I dispatched to not only the sales representative, but the sales manager as well. You would think that as a so called reputable establishment they wouldn't want anyone tarnishing their name, or proving them wrong on their claim of not being under sold. A claim that is boldly made on TV, Radio, and Internet, Oh and print...

We weren't really seriously considering a new KIA when we went in, but we wound up buying a Kia Soul off the showroom floor.  The sales people were fair and treated us well, we got a great deal, and we've had our car serviced a couple of times since we bought it in September, and found everyone treated us well.  One impressive thing: they sent us "thank you" coupons for free oil changes and routine service on any car, and did nice work on our Scion and our Ford as well.  I've always driven Volvo's, but my experience here has been nothing but positive so far.
