Sewell has been the highest-volume dealership in the Southwest for the past 30 years. In 2011, we continued to be honored by Cadillac as the only dealership to make Master Dealer for 38 consecutive years. History

Established in 1911.

In 1911, the first Sewell car dealership began when Carl Sewell Sr. began selling Model T Fords in the back of a hardware store that doubled as a movie theater. Here, the Sewell family laid the foundation for their business: an attitude toward outstanding customer service.
When the Great Depression hit and Carl lost the money he had placed in three banks, the Sewells moved to West Texas in 1929. The business thrived, thanks to their focus on service. In 1941, Carl and his wife Louise moved to Dallas, bringing the family back to where it all began.
Sewell Village Cadillac opened in 1957, becoming a flagship and starting a long tradition of service and luxury.
Carl Sr. passed away after selling his last Cadillac on May 5, 1972. His legacy passes on to his son, Carl Jr., who went on to open multiple dealerships in Dallas/Fort Worth, in San Antonio, and later in Houston.

You don't give key for rating 1-10 on question 2. I presumed a 10 was the best. Jason was my Service Advisor, he is fantastic and I plan on making him MY service advisor if at all possible. I had a unique issue with my 2014 SRX, he gave me great advice on how to prevent this problem in the future, we both had some good laughs over all of it. He kept me very well-informed as to status, and I never felt like I was going to be "taken to the cleaners" with him, he goes out of his way to stay in continuous touch with the technician performing the repairs. I sure appreciated dealing with Jason, he's great at his job. Really personifies the Sewell Total Quality Management business model, I hope his efforts are noticed and appreciated by Sewell!

Latest experience:  I made an appointment to have my oil changed (free for certified vehicle) and requested that I be out in 1 hour max.  That was accomplished, and they also rotated my tires, did a safety inspection and performed a small factory recall repair.   Service rep was friendly, very professional.   My only frustration in the past has been the poor wifi in the waiting room, as I always try to work while I'm waiting.   This time the wifi was easy to connect to, fast and consistent.  Simply nothing left to complain about, the entire experience front to back was excellent.

Hands down the best customer service not only in their industry but as customer service in general.  Other businesses could learn a thing or two on how to do it right! We use both the sales and service department for our current and previous Cadillacs. They will go above and beyond any expectations (or misgivings) a person may have about a car dealership.  They only hire the best of the best from their managers down to the housekeeping staff. When they say "Customers for Life" they truly mean it and show it. It is also a very beautiful dealership and impeccably clean inside and out. When you pull up to the service bay you are always greeted with a smile and they have a loaner Caddy waiting for you if you need one. 9 times out of 10 they even honor my request for a specific loaner model to try out. I enjoy the experience so much I drive the 2 hours from our home just to get my oil changed!

I just bought a new Escalade from this dealership. I have to say, I've bought many, many cars from numerous dealerships over the years, and I've never been more impressed than I was with Sewell. Raymond Basye was my salesperson, and he was exceptional. Very friendly and professional, and very proactive in communicating with me. Nathan in the finance department was also exceptional. The whole process was very simple and efficient.

When I went to pick up the car, they did an excellent job making me feel very valued as a customer. Like I said, best car dealership ever. I bought a car a few years ago at Sewell Infiniti in Houston, and it was also excellent. There's something about the Sewell culture that is really, really good. I highly recommend them.

I have purchased 2 cars from Sewell and my family has purchased another 3.  

Recently, I had some suspension issues that may be typical for a Cadillac CTS like mine.  I had just passed by my dealership warranty and was operating under a 3rd party warranty.  When it became apparent that my warranty would not cover the repairs, Sewell and Michelle Boyd stepped up to save the day.  

She worked out a method that I could utilize their warranty services by just paying a small deductible.  She could have very easily let me walk out with a car that was unsafe to operate since I was not going to be able to afford the necessary repairs.  

I have never been more motivated to provide positive feedback on a client survey than I am right now.  My experience was the most satisfying experience I have had at an automobile dealership.  Michelle Boyd and all of the managers on duty were very attentive to my needs.  When my repair issue had an element of safety compromised, Michelle was quick to act to ensure that my car was safe to operate.  At the threshold of the warranty, Sewell stepped up and showed me why I continue to be a customer for life.  It is obvious that Sewell makes it a priority to treat customers with an unmatched level of grace.

I didn't buy my Cadillac from this dealership but I took it in for some repairs because it was still under warranty. There was a leak in my sunroof and from the moment I pulled up I felt special. Mallory Schenk was my service advisor and she was quick, efficient and very professional. Altogether I was in and out with a rental car in less than 30 minutes no hassle at all! This by far has been the best experience I've had at a dealership. Thank you so much for making me feel like a valuable Cadillac customer!!

As always, the folks at Sewell were very accommodating and helpful with the scheduled maintenance on my vehicle.  

I had been trying to get in for an oil change for over a month, and my work schedule was just not allowing me to come down.  Adrian, my salesman, called and reminded me about Sewell's complimentary pickup and delivery service, which I used.  It made things so much more convenient, and much less complicated.  With a job as a high school administrator, I desperately need fewer complications!

Have bought 5 cars from Sewell.

We recently used Raymond Basye who did a wonderful job getting us into our new 2014 CTS.

I am constantly pleased and impressed with the high-quality service I get from Steve Kittelson, our main service adviser, and the other Sewell Cadillac service staff that I interact with (like this time, Kim helped us out, too). I would highly recommend them, and have!

However, I am concerned with the factory quality of our brand new 2014 CTS. Three weeks ago we brought it in - the entire computer center panel was dead in the middle of the dashboard and none of the button controls on the steering wheel were working, too (this meant no AC control - not good in Texas!); the radio was replaced and that fixed it. Then, when I was about to drive from Dallas to Fort Worth the error "Service: Steering Column Lock" appeared. Taking the car back for service there was a sheared off bolt and the module was replaced. Two other issues were corrected: the rain-sensor wipers were coming on when I entered a garage (not any rain happening) and the BlueTooth microphone was picking up too much road noise, too. All got fixed by Sewell; none were the fault of Sewell.

We had a brand new (first year of the model) SRX - 2004, I think - and then the brand new version of the SRX in 2010. Both were GREAT cars. Never had back-to-back problems like this. We are very disappointed so far with the GM factory work on this new 2014 CTS.

I was shopping for a fuel efficient car between the years of 2007-2010 with a decent monthly payment. I came across the Sewell Cadillac of Dallas when the gentleman who sold me my very first car a few years ago, notified me he is now employed at Sewell. His name is Joey Edwards and he immediately got to work on finding me the best match for a car in my price range.

Within the next few days following my original request, he had already found the perfect match for my budget. A  white 2010 Nissan Sentra SR.  The paperwork and financing process went very smoothly and I was overall extremely pleased with Joey and all of the Sewell Cadillac of Dallas staff for having such great customer service. He has since followed up several times to see how I am liking my new vehicle.  I would recommend Joey Edwards and the Sewell Cadillac of Dallas to anyone in the market for a new/ pre- owned vehicle!!

Originally, I brought my 2012 CTS in for a car wash, but my car really need to be detailed.  When I was there the last time, I had my doggie and she had tracked some tar (or something like that) from the lot on the back seat.  I asked the service technician the cost of detailing the inside.  I thought the price was fine but I could not spare two hours.  He asked me if I wanted a loaner car.  Of course I wanted one but I did not think I could do it because I had not made a reservation AND it was Saturday.  He said, "No problem!" and set me up.  In no time I was on my way.  My car was ready within two hours and my errands were done!

I was pleased with the level of service that I received and how beautiful my car looked--inside and out.  Thank you!!

I was looking to buy a cross-over style SUV.  When looking online, I came across the Sewell Cadillac website.  I looked over the inventory and fell in love with the Cadillac SRX.  I put in an information request and was contacted by Cody Mankin shortly thereafter via email.  And he followed up with a phone call the next day.  I made an appointment the following Monday to take a test drive.  Shortly after I arrived, I was behind the wheel test driving the vehicle.  It fit all of my requirements and then some. My original plan was to test drive other brands as well before making my decision.  But after driving the 2013 Cadillac SRX, I knew I wouldn't like anything better than I liked that car.  They quickly got me a price for my trade-in, got me a quote for financing, and made me an overall offer.  And I accepted.  Buying experiences in the past have been very stressful and annoying.  This was a very pleasant buying experience.  Thank you!

2014 ATS

- Installed license plates (required adding front license plate holder)
- Installed Suede shifter (six speed manual)

Jay Lane my sales guy called me to tell me the shifter was in and that he had a technician lined up to do the work.

When i arrived i spoke with David Boyd who knew i was coming in and treated me with great customer care.

When the work was completed the technician described what he did and complemented me on the selection of the shifter.

I just wish Sewell had a Cadillac location in Plano.

Best car purchase experience we have ever had.  When most area dealerships wouldn't discuss real prices via email, we were able to reach an acceptable price without ever visiting them in person and then had no surprises when we went to take care of the paperwork.

Our sales rep, Britton, has since followed up multiple times after the purchase just to see if we had any questions.  He even sent a batch of cookies to the house as a "thank you" for our business.

We will definitely contact Sewell first next time we're looking for a car.

Having a morbid fear of car dealerships, I approached Sewell carefully - even with their glowing reputation. I merely stopped by to see the new ATS in person and maybe take it for a test drive. I was quickly put in contact with a very knowledgable salesperson (Britton - highly recommend him) who was enthusiastic about the car, but wasn't pushy in the least bit.

Britton allowed me to test out the vehicle on streets I'm accustomed to so that I could really get a feel for the car. He answered all of my questions and knew more about the car than I did (which was such a pleasant surprise!).

The entire purchase process was simply painless and everyone at the dealership couldn't have been nicer. I would highly recommend buying/leasing from Sewell Cadillac. They have the wonderful reputation that they do for a reason. It's great to see a company actually work for your business and show genuine appreciation for it.

I recently bought a ATS from Sewell on lemon and I have never felt so important at a car dealership. The service I received from Paige Dickerson was top notch PLUS she knew EVERYTHING about the features of the ATS. It was the most fun I had test driving a car ever!  The process was fast and everyone there from the service department to finance was so pleasant to deal with, the car was a bonus. Will only buy my Cadi's from Sewell.

Love, love, love Sewell Cadillac! Best buying experience ever. I worked for about 9 months with Paige Dickerson on an ATS, because I had to wait patiently until they released the new model. She was always extremely helpful with passing on information to me as it arrived throughout the year, and I believe I asked her about 1,000 questions before it was all said and done. She was super friendly, honest, knowledgeable and understanding, and best of all... NOT pushy!

The buying process was quick and easy, and the Finance Manager- Orlando Franklin- is absolutely awesome. So nice and helpful! What I like about this place is that the employees are HONEST, and they treat you like royalty whether you are a customer or a prospect. The first time I went into Sewell Cadillac, I looked at a CTS and decided not to move forward with it. A few days later, I got a hand-written note from Paige in the mail thanking me for my time with her... And this was after I originally told her no. How many car companies actually take the time to do that!? Luckily, the ATS was announced about a month later, so I took out Paige's business card and sent her an email. :) When my car finally arrived at Sewell, I got a fair trade-in for my vehicle and they worked with me to get the payments closer to where I wanted them. Since buying my vehicle, I've also had the pleasure of working with Kirkland Taylor on all my service issues and he has been absolutely great!

I would recommend Sewell to anyone, because they are what every car dealership should be: top notch customer service from a company built on honesty and family values. Best of all, who doesn't like free car washes?

I have enjoyed bringing my Hummer to Sewell for service. The drive is a little further compared to my purchase location in Plano.  GM shifted my service location to Sewell Cadillac.  Here today of an oil change and a wash.  They have had free wifi since I started coming here. Noticed today that they have iPads for your use while you are waiting. Very nice touch Sewell. Make sure you stop by an visit the location. Take. Are.

Review is for New Car Sales:

Well... In our whirlwind tour of Dallas dealerships looking for that perfect new Crossover or SUV we landed at good ole Sewell.  We were getting rid of the Tahoe Z71 and looking for something a little bit smaller and were checking out the SRX.  Jay Lane was our sales guy and was a total pleasure to work with.  Very professional and knew EVERYTHING about the products he sold.  When it was time to look at numbers he came in with a VERY aggressive price and the only reason we bought elsewhere was because we wanted something just a little bit bigger. (Still LOVE the SRX)

I feel that Jay was one of the best car sales guys I've ever dealt with and totally recommend seeing him if you're looking for any of those PIMP Cadillacs.  He's got the keys!

Ok, I am seriously addicted to yelping now, and I have to yelp about Sewell Cadillac Lovefield! My husband and I just purchased our first Cadillac and although I thought I would NEVER be a caddy girl, I am now one forever! The customer service at this place is absolutely phenomenal! We worked with two individuals who were extremely professional (Chad Purcle and Scott Dulan) who I might add are not the typical car salesmen, not greasy, slimy, or the over the top, I have to meet my goals type of guys. They are down to earth, realistic, and obviously love what they do for a living. Both have worked there for over 10 years.
We were in the process of debating between a Cadillac or GMC, and both Chad and Scott had no problem helping with either. Although we decided to go with the Cadillac, the effort and time Chad took with us was exceptional!

We were able to fill out our credit stuff at home over the convenient web which I might add was only 2 pages, and EASY. That night we were able to come in and sign all the paper work which was less than 20 minutes, and the following day, they had someone pick me up and drive me to the facility to pick up my new Escalade!

Upon receiving my new car, Scott for over an hour went over EVERY button in the car. We set up my blue-tooth, set up On Star and even set some XM radio stations! On top of that, afterward, he drove me to the service department, showed me how it works when I need to come and service my vehicle, introduced me to the manager, and to top it off....my kiddo got free Paciugo cone! WTH? Gelato and free car washes anytime? Count me in!

I'm telling you. I have never had such service at a car dealership in my life! They usually creep me out, however I would highly recommend this place for top notch service, and professionalism!

What the hell?!  I'm now reviewing car dealerships?!?!  Hell yes!  Sewell Caddy deserves a great review... everyone in the service industry could learn a thing or two about customer service from Sewell.

I bought a car there 3 years ago.  It was such a breeze and I got a good deal.  They called me the following day to make sure I was happy with my purchase and to see if there were any features I had questions about.  When they came to install the Lo-Jack while I was at work, I didn't even have to leave my desk.   The have sent me birthday gifts every year (think stainless Sewell coffee carafes).  Anytime I need service (which is extremely rare) I roll up, leave the car running, as if I'm valeting my car, I am handed the keys to a newer and nicer car, sign my name, get in the newer nicer car and drive off, and usually receive a phone call the following morning telling me my car is ready to be picked up at my convenience.  After picking my car up, I receive a phone call the same afternoon asking if I was happy with my service.  

I freakin love Sewell!  The "Big 3" better get their acts together so I can continue to use Sewell in the future!

Oh, I forgot to mention the free car washes!!!
