History

Established in 1986.

In 1986, Sewell Oldsmobile opened its doors in Oak Cliff. In 1994, the dealership moved to the Love Field area and added Pontiac and GMC. After GM discontinued the Oldsmobile line, we added Buick in 2006, and the dealership became Sewell Buick Pontiac GMC. This GMC franchise has won the prestigious Jack Smith Leadership Award every year since its inception. We've been the highest-volume GMC dealer in the Dallas- Fort Worth market for the past five years. (Hopefully I'm not writing this review too soon..) This past month, my husband and I purchase our very first car (together as Husband and Wife) The whole process with deciding on what car would be best for us was so stressful! (I can't even imagine how buying a home would be or having kids! But that's a whole other topic lol) We came in looking for a GMC Terrain SLT. So thankful my husband got lucky enough to be placed with Vivian Vu. She was wonderful. She showed us their stock, test drove with us, and showed us how everything little thing worked in that car! She was extremely patient.. And dealing with my stressed out self, that could be tiring for some.. But she was great. We looked around at other dealerships and at these other places I just felt all they wanted was my money.. The way they spoke, the way they conducted themselves.. They all just seemed shady! (granted that's a car salesman for you) But Vivian was just a sweet, honest person to work with. When the time comes, I'd go back to Sewell to purchase another car. Everything as of now is working/running great.. I will update the review once we take it in for service. Hopefully that experience is just as good! (btw, thanks Vivian for the "fresh out the oven" cookies you sent to us!)

I don't drive a GMC, I drive a Sewell. I wish Sewell sold Ford, however I will continue to buy GMC as long as Sewell is around. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Sewell's customer service is un-parallel to anyone else. The people are great and the service department is extremely helpful. I'd rather push my GMC to Sewell, then deal with the Dallas Ford dealership's lies.

Not enough stars for this place! We recently got a 2015 Buick Enclave - BEAUTIFUL piece of craftsmanship. Not only are we extremely pleased with our amazing new vehicle, the customer service we received was flawless! Arturo Torres walked us through a few vehicles in our price range, and never pushed more than we could offer. He thoroughly explained the details and electronic intricacies of each model we looked at. (TONS of options btw)

I'd also like to mention we had a 15 month old who began to get fussy and he was completely patient with us. He even told us we could use one of the iPads in the waiting area if we just ask for one....uh SCORE! Hello Disney Jr!  That helped tremendously while husband did all the paperwork.

Overall, super happy with my experience! Very clean building and so many beautiful vehicles to choose from. Customer service is certainly a priority here. Oh...and did I mention they have cookies? ;)

They have the best customer service I've ever experienced from a car dealership. They put service on a whole new level! It's not just buying the car and leaving, it's a continual service they provide and that's probably why I keep coming back time and time again.

This is a tough one. So had some MINOR issues with the buying process but just bad deal with sales rep I was dealing with being excused from his position which just happens and isn't Sewell's fault. The guy they put me with eventually (Clay) was good and buying experience at dealership was good.

Now comes the rest of the story. So bought a brand new 2015 GMC Yukon XL. Won't get into all the problems but main thing was AC went out when it was like 90+. Had to wait 3 days due to fact they didn't have loaner for us. I honestly find that hard to believe. Now we are having more issues and need to come back in for warranty work. Wife takes in today and they tell her they have no loaners and won't until after Thanksgiving. Again, I think this is ridiculous. So I send her to Sewell Lexus to get an appraisal as I'm tired of this. She said they treated her like a queen and said they too hear negatives of the Buick/GMC dealership and assured her that if she brought a Lexus in for service that they WOULD put her in a vehicle immediately.

I've dealt with Sewell Infiniti in past and they are golden. I'm just not sure why the Buick/GMC struggles. Maybe it's the sad fact that American made vehicles just aren't at the level of the Japanese.  Either way, they should be ready for such issues.

Service Department Fail!  We experienced blinker light malfunction upon our arrival to Dallas. Causing safety concerns as we could not give indication of right turns(especially dangerous in traffic).  Because of my awesome service experience w my local Buick dealership(Sterling McCall Buick) I assumed this dealership would be consistent.  Wrong ...arrogant and obvious annoyance were portrayed.  Advisor took our information and could be seen discussing w whom I'm assuming was manager.  Returns and says "yeah so this will be $45 for labor".  Cannot believe that they were not more concerned w a family's safety than padding their pockets.

I bought a car from Jay Lane yesterday and the experience so far has been good.  I am now waiting on the delivery next  Tuesday or Wednesday.  I received my car today (Tuesday) as promised.  Went in to sign paperwork with Andy and he was also very professional and made the process simple too.  I guess the great things I have heard about Sewell Dealerships is true!  I will definately be back to buy again from this dealer.  Comes highly recommended.

Great Job as always! Best Service Ever - line no one else. Justin and TJ are always on their best and go out of their way to make sure service is top notch.
We have been a customer of Sewell for 20 years. GMC is what we use the most - is like nothing else! Its service is just as good as it is at Lexus (the ultimate service bench mark in my opinion). All Sewell dealerships do an outstanding job! Period! This is not an advertisement  - this is just a true statement from an old time customer! Because of their service we buy cars from Sewell in order to get their great service! They treat you like a person, regardless of a car you drive.

BUYER BEWARE! Went to look at a gorgeous (at first glance...) 2011 used Buick Enclave. Fully loaded, price was staggering, but I figured there would be Plenty of room for negotiation...My brother went with me to look car over, and found painter's tape on the passenger door and down the side of the lower molding. Upon further inspection, he seen where the bolts in the door had been removed, and the door would not shut straight/flush and dropped about an inch when opened. It was so obvious it had been in a wreck! The salesperson denied it, almost acting offended we would even suggest it, saying it didn't mention a wreck in the Carfax report, blahblahblah. He even got the Used Sales MGR, Collision MGR, another salesman, and a body collision specialist out there. "That painter's tape was NOT theirs, it must have been performed by the owner..." I looked at the body collision guy, and said hey, is this the tape you use in your shop? He didn't hesitate with his "Oh yes! That's ours" and grinned real big. All the men in the business suits were caught in their redfaced lie. They had the audacity to suggest perhaps they DID indeed touch up some paint by perhaps a shopping buggy hitting it. (no joke)Before I left, disappointed in the car AND their lying ways, I was offered the car if they fixed the door at $300 off price. LMAO!!!!!!! Then they called me later, saying it was my last chance before it went to dealer auction. What nerve. Sorry, but I don't pay $4000 OVER KBB value on a vehicle, especially a previously wrecked one!Sewell Pre-Owned is simply a 2 million dollar mansion home with Termites and black mold. Don't let the location & Italian suits fool you, they will lie just like a greasy salesman on the "other side of the tracks" BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brad Mills was my sales consultant for my transaction with Sewell Buick GMC. He was awesome! It is difficult for me to get to the phone during the day because of my job and we were able to do pretty much all of our communication via Email and text.  He had all the information about the vehicle I was interested in ready to go and was able to give me a value for my trade that was more than fair and had that ready in about 2 hours.  He was also very quick to reply to any questions I had.  He even arranged to have a driver drive my car down to me in San Antonio and drive my trade in back to him the very next day. The car was just as described and I am very happy with the purchase.  The financing rates were also very competitive.  I wish all car dealerships could take care of me like this. I only wish I was local so I could take my care in for maintenance and the free car washes!

It's hard to find a dealership that makes buying a car such a stress-free experience. Luckily I found that working with Caleb Robinson at Sewell Buick GMC. I had a specific car in mind that I wanted, and when I decided that it wasn't the right vehicle for me, Caleb was more than patient with me. We finally found a Cadillac CTS that I really liked at Sewell Cadillac next door, and I was shocked when he was able to guide me through the whole process. I'm a little embarrassed to say that people at both dealerships recognize me whenever I come in for a free car wash or need something checked out on my car. However, I'm constantly reminded that Sewell appreciates my business and are glad to see me around. I'll definitely be stoping by to Caleb and Sewell whenever I need my next car.

The service department at Sewell GMC is appalling. We have had our SUV serviced there twice in the past two years. Our car was returned from a 40,000 mile service with a broken onstar system (which was never fixed), and was returned from fixing an emission sensor light with two broken spark plugs. We had to return the car 4 times (so far) to fix the spark plugs. I am hoping these guys are just incompetent at fixing cars - because the alternative (perhaps deliberately making things worse to make sure you have to bring your car back in) is criminal.
