Reviews on Mark Weinstein Motors

I have been afraid of going through a dealership for years, concerned about honesty, genuineness, negotiating down to a fair price, the pushiness but I had recently been trying to buy a car through individuals on Craigslist and ran into a lot of scams. Out of frustration, I finally expanded my search and immediately found exactly what I was looking for at Mark's. Not only was the car fairly priced right off the bat, it was in incredible condition, but it was meeting Mark that sold me.

Let every car dealer take a lesson from this man on how to be genuine, honest, cooperative, patient and kind! He helped me through every step of the process efficiently and clearly explained all of the paperwork and steps. He worked closely with me to secure financing through my credit union and even took the time to get the car inspected for me (it would expire in a month) at no extra charge. I trusted him from the moment I met him and his follow-through was testament to why. I did a buyer's check before purchase and they only said I might need to rotate the tires eventually. It drives perfectly and I am sure I will have it a long time.

This is an unabashed endorsement. If you are even considering going to Mark, trust me- you should.

Nice honest place to buy a car.  Mark is straightforward and kind.  He's not pushy and he's as nice to you if you're buying as if you're not.  His lot isn't very big but you can tell he handpicks his inventory for the kind of stuff that appeals to folks, good quality cars in good shape but used so we can afford them.  It was such a nice experience to spend time and end up purchasing from Mark Weinstein compared to the time I spent at the big dealerships.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I recently bought a car from Mark. He was very kind and helpful. The location is a little off putting as his lot is very bare bones but that's to be expected for a one man show type place. He had the exact car I was looking for and I was very thrilled to purchase it! It had several large issues right off the bat, but after sinking another 2,200 into it we have a great car. I'm giving him a 4 star review because I feel if he had known the struggles we faced with the car in the first months he would just feel awful. When the problems first presented themselves he did step up without being asked to help pay for the window motors that were shorted out by the electrical issues. But that was just a taste of things to quickly take effect and reveal the real issue.
I think he's a good guy and a honest dealer but buyer be warned. Even if it's the exact car you want make sure you have it looked at before you buy. Mark is not a mechanic and can not know the past of all the cars on his lot. All and all, after the dust has settled and I now have a drivable car, I love it! But have ANY used car looked over before you make a deal, from any dealer! I did pay to much for a car with large issues but that's no ones fault but mine :/ Mark is a good guy and we would buy from him again in the future!

I purchased MAZDA2, 2011 model.
Many car dealers show good cars on Websites, but they actually don't have such cars in some cases. Even if they have the cars, cars' condition may be so bad.
Mark has "Golden Rule" and keeps his cars to be very clean.
This dealer is very small, but I think it is the best dealer in Austin.

A few months ago my girlfriend purchased a 2006 Mazda 3 from Mark.  We discovered the car on his website and went to have a look.  When we got there, the car wouldn't start - so he had to jump the battery.  It had a headlight out as well.  All completely fixable though.  The one thing that made us skeptical though - he had the engine completely rebuilt.  He said there was an oil leak and the best solution was to just get the entire engine rebuilt.  Mark put me in touch with the mechanic that did the rebuild and allowed us to have our own mechanic come out and do an inspection.  It showed he had nothing to hide and definitely sold us on the car.

As far as the buying process, I can say that Mark did everything we asked to put our minds at ease.  We got a good price all things considered and the car has been amazing so far.  It basically works like a new car outside of a few small cosmetic defects.  As long as the car keeps running, we have no gripes with Mark.

You would never think that the owner/salesman of this car lot is a car salesman. He is the nicest, on-the-level person I have ever dealt with. Due to hitting a deer, me and my family was in a pinch for a vehicle. Mark showed us some replacement vehicles. They were factory fresh and clean. He let us look over the whole vehicle, test drive it, worked with us on holding the vehicle until the insurance check came. He is an awesome, honest man.

Shop here without fear of pressure or underhandedness. I look forward to coming back for our next used car.

Stay away!!!! stay very far away. My son was sold a 17,000 lemon. The car lost the clutch on the way home. they fixed it, charged me and put the car back together wrong. A few hundred miles later and the motor is shot. I am hiring a lawyer! very deceptive practices!

I HATE buying cars. I would much rather go to the dentist. Last week I spent the week at dealerships and playing the "shell game". I was looking for a specific car which is what lead me to Mark. The price was spot on as far as Edmunds goes and 2k less than what the dealerships had listed for basically the same car or even one a year older.

Mark is the owner of this small lot. He has about 20 cars at one time but I was VERY impressed with the quality. I bought a car with 50k miles and it looks, drives and smells like a new car. He only goes with the best for his lot.

Mark is very easy going and his forms for the sale are very simple. My bank was pleased at how easy they were to read and understand. He was willing to stay late and accommodate me too. I doubt very few car sales end in hugs but this one did because he was such a pleasure to work with. He does not have financing but will work with your bank.
