I brought both my car and my husband's 4 runner in for inspections...on the weekend! Yes, Hi-Tech is open on Saturday!!! My car had a light out and they had the part needed to fix it right then and there. Later I dropped off my husband's vehicle and went to run errands- I got a call as soon as it was ready but since I wasn't done, they said I could pick it up anytime before they close. Super happy with the convenience and service I got. I love that they provided great service and that they're in my neighborhood! Only had inspections done but would go back for more work if I needed it!

Not too many auto shops open on the weekends and for a working mom like me that's the only time I can really get any errands done. My car overheated last night and first thing in the morning I brought my van in to High Tech Automotive. Brought in at 8am and it was ready by 1:30. I needed a new radiator, hoses and a thermostat. I asked for new windshield wipers and an inspection as well. Everything was completed in one business day and I received updates and a fair price. Front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating to me and my two year old. Trust me, the complimentary coffee is a quick way to help me first thing in the morning. They had crayons and kids tv show on for my little girl. Thank you so much for the fast friendly service. Job well done and I definitely feel comfortable coming back here and referring this shop!

I've been very happy with Hi-Tech Automotive. We own a 2001 Volvo XC70 wagon; been driving it for 12 years. She recently rolled 100K miles and has been plagued with some on-again/off-again shifting problems. Chmeis and team have been very conservative in diagnosing the problem, which I greatly appreciate given the currently low value of the vehicle. We've worked together to evaluate options. Other shops would have jumped immediately to a transmission overhaul. Whereas, we may be learning that's not really the problem. Hi-Tech also operates a Volvo salvage yard. So, when expensive repairs are necessary, there are often salvage parts in reach that can reduce the cost. I can't think of this ever being offered or suggested at other shops. The car owner usually needs to do that work. I like that it's on the table as a consideration at Hi-Tech, when appropriate. Hi-Tech also offers loaner cars at a very low cost, less than a single cab ride. The cars are shop cars probably needing more attention than your own, but they run and keep you on your schedule without delay. When you pick up your car, Chmeis shows you what they did. He keeps a box behind the counter with your name on it, filled with broken parts and the evaluation that matches. He'll take you through it. I like that. Overall, I've felt fairly treated at Hi-Tech. They've grasped my issues and considerations and helped me solve them. And whenever I had a concern about a service provided, they've responded well. Hi-Tech is a family business and the culture of the garage feels productive and positive. They seem to enjoy fixing cars and serving as a mainstay in South Austin for years.

Mann was fabulös!!!! I brought my car in for an oil change and Mann noticed sevearl other things wrong and fixed them. It was such a nice surprise to get more than what I paid for.  I appreciate and like to support a family owned business. I will return.

The previous negative rating  points out that the owner was not born in the United States and calls him a "foreigner". Is the writer somehow indicating that unless you were born in America you are somehow inferior or dishonest? This comment degrades the writer and forfeits his credibility.  I paid $80 for a synthetic oil change which is on parr with other garages. Regular oil is much cheaper.

I've been a regular customer at Firestone for quiet some time now but I'm now happy to say that I'm no longer any more. Last night, I heard an awful sound coming from the passenger side of my car and had absolutely no idea what it was. So as usual, I took it in to Firestone to get it checked out to only be waiting around for FOUR hours and to hear that my car needed $1,006 worth of repairs. I decided to try somewhere else so I came by Hi-Tech for the first time. All I have to say, is that I was in and out in under 30 minutes and they fixed exactly what was wrong in the first place. Firestone told me that my breaks were 100% fine and that the problem was coming from my steering wheel. When I went to Hi-Tech, the problem was indeed my breaks and after going there, my car no longer makes that awful sound anymore. I'm very disappointed with Firestone for trying to charge me for things that were unnecessary, especially since I've been going there for couple years now. I will now be going to Hi-Tech from now on. The people that work here don't trick you and they tell you exactly what's wrong. Soooo impressed with this place. EVERYBODY needs to give them a chance if you haven't already! I'm now a new happy customer at Hi-Tech :)

I took my husband's truck into the Hi-Tech location on Hwy 290 for an oil change, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received!! My husband uses full synthetic oil in his Dodge truck, and I was expecting this visit to come with a hefty price tag - I was astonished to see what a reasonable price I was charged for a full synthetic oil change! I was also blown away when the mechanic who completed the oil change told me about a few issues the truck has that need to be fixed - they even checked the brakes!! And they were so professional when they told me about the issues that the truck has, there were absolutely no pushy sales or scare tactics, they just said, these are some issues you should definitely look into fixing. The owner of this location, Maan, is so incredibly kind and helpful too! I will definitely be a permanent customer of this shop! :)

Stopped in Hi Tech a week or so ago for something not at all vehicle related.  I was in a real bind with a part needing repair for some work equipment.  Two of the parts were rusted together, and my equipment repair could not be completed without them being separated.   Without hesitation, they took the part back to their shop, and used some of their machinery to get the parts removed from each other.   They helped me out of a bind, and would not accept any payment.   Everyone at the front counter was friendly and even offered me coffee and donuts.   They took time out of their day to help a stranger with something that was not even vehicle related.   I'll definitely give them some business if I have car issues that need a mechanic.  Thanks again!

Ali at Hi Tech Automotive helped me resolve an issue with my daughter's car and explained everything to me, step-by-step. He gave me his cell phone number and said I could call him anytime, which I did. He was forthright and honest and helpful throughout the entire process, and treated us very fairly. I love Hi Tech!
When I moved back home to Austin, at least 2 people I trusted (i.e. picky!) recommended them.  

My first visit almost three years ago was for a punctured tire.  I pulled up, without an appointment, they greeted me immediately, fixed the hole, and sent me on my way.  They did not charge me at all.

Now, that's one way to secure my business!

I've been going to them for ~3yrs now.  Anytime I have a 'big' repair (I have a 2003 Toyota Prius), I'll call other mechanics to check the price - and Hi Techs is always a great price AND other mechanics willing admit that Hi Techs are good mechanics.  Sweet!

Today, I went in to change my A/C air filter and ... they didnt charge me anything again.  Not for parts or labor.  "My payment is knowing your A/C works properly!"

Granted I've been with them for 3 years and now bring my boyfriend so he knows I'm a loyal costumer.  But still, I'm so grateful to have found a GOOD MECHANIC WHO I TRUST.

These guys are top notch!!! I purchased an 03' BMW 325 three months ago. The car had been previously wrecked but not to the point of being a reconditioned title. The drivetrain was under warranty but my window regulator went out the first week. This is common with bimmers. They fixed it at no cost. Then I noticed some plastic under the front of the car was all torn up. It was causing my exterior temperature sensor to act up. They sent me to their location in Kyle. I was in a loner and two days later everything was fixed. My car is now in mint condition. At no extra charge!!! He sad he just wanted me to be happy with my new car. I felt like giving the man a hug. Of coarse a handshake was the case. Thanks Husain and Joe for being flat out awesome!!! Those guys are like I said "TOP NOTCH"!!!

The owner, Ali Chmeis, and his family & staff are a pleasure to work with.

They're the type of people that you want to go and visit even if you don't need help with your car.  I trust him and the business with all of my car needs.  Chmeis serviced my car before a 14,000 mile road trip and I needed zero work on the car while gone.

Their prices are considerate and reasonable.  It's a breath of fresh air to work with these professionals!!  I recommend them to everyone I know.

I stopped by here recently to have a head light lightbulb replaced and the air pressure checked on my tire, as my regular mechanic is way up north and I didn't have time this week for the drive. I was hoping I could find a good shop in my hood for small stuff so I don't need to trek all the way up north for such small repairs. In a nut shell DONT GO HERE.

The mechanic I spoke to told me it would take 1 hour and cost 150$ to replace my light bulb. He also informed me  Hi-Tech DOSENT GUARANTEE  any of the parts or labor on repairs they perform.

I declined the service as my regular mechanic will give me a much better price.
HOWEVER I am giving them the ONE STAR rating because they are SHADY AS HELL.

I also requested they check the PSI on my tire as I watched. Just to be sure the tire is safe to drive on until I can get it to my mechanic.

AS I WATCHED he mechanic took 5 seconds to check the PSI and then walked away saying nothing. I had to then ask him him what it was reading. He strait up lied to my face saying it was at 20 and now its at 35.  That's impossible.
I know that car repairs are not my area of expertise butone thing I do know that it takes more than 5 seconds to fill a tire from 20 to 35 PSI. They were just trying to figure out a way to scam me. These guys are serious LIARS.
If they manage to be this shady about two very minor repairs I can only imagine what a headache getting any serious repair work done on you car is like with these guys... *****SERIOUS BUYER BEWARE

Total rip off. Owned by foreigners. Went in for an oil change because my usual place was backed up. What should have cost me $45 at my normal place ended up costing me $70. Rediculous! I should have known when I pulled up and there were no cars there in the shop. Beware!!!!!

I got my car towed to hi-tech to have the fuel pump repaired. I told them what was wrong with the car, and they offered me free diagnosis since it definitely was the fuel pump. they fixed it, and in 2 days i got my car back. The following day i had to bring it back for a fuel leak. i told 2 different techs that i had gone through an excessive amount of fuel in the day that i was driving it and i insisted that there had to be a leak. both techs told me they checked for leaks and there was no fuel leaking.
Later at a gas station i confirmed my suspicions when fuel began leaking from my gas tank as i was refilling. I called hi-tech and they had it towed to the shop at no cost to me and repaired the gas tank fill neck for free as well.

I don't take kindly to clumsy techs. that fuel leak could have caused a fire while i was driving around town. I would reconsider getting any serious work done by hi-tech technicians. I would only consider coming back for a state inspection.

Had it not been for Hi-Tech, I probably would have been taking the bus, or driving an old beat-up cavalier--or some overpriced junker on its last legs.

Here is the deal about Hi-Tech Automotive: They are the best at what they do.

What they do: Sell (for the most part) reconditioned titled cars to people who cannot get into a car, and do car repair and body work of just about any kind.

I was referred there by a friend who had bought two Volvos from them because my credit was low due to school loans and identity theft. I couldn't get a car anywhere else--well except Dream Cars--and they wanted nearly 14k for a 2001 Ford Explorer back in late October 11 with compounding interest.  

I had thought I could walk into a dealership and by a used car at low cost but banks won't lend on them, and then the dealership dings your already low credit by hitting every bank possible trying to get you into a high priced tinker toy car for 16k or more.

I walked into Hi-Tech drove out in a beautiful gold 2004 Volvo S80 Turbo Sedan.  

Yes I paid more than the car's blue book, but I only had to put down 1000k and the rest of the 500 dollar down payment was spread out with my car payments for the next three months or so.   And unlike the others, the loan was just straightforward simple interest?

That's a lot  less money than the 2001 Ford Explorer from Dream Cars--monthly and overall price, and with free oil and tune-ups for the duration.  

To be sure, this wasn't a cheap car.  AND it is a reconditioned title with high mileage, as most of their cars are, but Hussein and his family have been doing this for 42 years here in Austin. I think at the same location on Congress across the street from Magnolia Cafe.  

I wrecked that car. (My first real wreck ever in decades and decades of driving; it was totaled.)  But Hi-Tech rolled my downpayment over to a BMW, and I was in another car as soon as the insurance company settled.

There have been issues with the BMW, as there are with any older car--and some differences of opinion, as there are between most dealers, garages and customers.

But there has also been one big exception:  ultimately, and always in the end, Hussein and Hi-Tech Automotive and I have ALWAYS been able to have a candid conversation and an HONEST resolution to circumstances and payments.  

They even let you do repairs on credit so you can stay on the road, and provide loaner cars while your car is being repaired.

What's more, Hussein will show you codes for diagnostics, and walk you through the repair and parts replaced upon completion of a job, explaining it in a way that anyone can understand.  

There will come a time when my credit will be repaired and I can buy a new or used car at a more preferred interest rate and price, but I have absolutely no reservation recommending Hi-Tech Automotive as THE best place to get a car when you have no options left--or for repairs on any car.   They seem to specialize in Chevy Trucks, Volvos, Cadillacs, BMWs, and Mercedes.

They care.  And they do what they do better than anybody--period.

I was in Austin for a conference when my tire light on my BMW came on.  It was 6:30 a.m. on a cold morning. I stopped at a gas station to get air.  I was having difficulty getting air in the tire.  I asked a man who came out of the store if he would help.  He said, "Yes".  He helped me get air in my tire and then told me it was his job to work on European cars.  He went on to tell me he worked at High-Tech Automotive.  I don't even know his name.  However, his effort spoke volumes to me and I remembered his kindness and his employer, High-Tech Automotive.

My check engine light came on.  I took my car here to get LOOKED at, and simply wanted an estimate on how much it would be to fix.  The mechanic cleared the code, which made my check engine light go off and no other mechanic would be able to see what's wrong with my car until I drove it for a while.  These guys are sketch to say the least.

I was told my car would be done in an hour when I dropped it off for an oil change. I walked to H.E.B. In the meantime to do some grocery shopping. I came back in an hour to find my truck sitting in he same spot, hoping it was coincidence and it was done. I walk inside to see what was up and the guy inside told me it hasn't been touched. It was a different guy than I dropped it off with an he told me he didn't know anything about it.  He said he'd check to see if he could get it back and in my annoyed voice I said I didn't have time to wait any longer bc I have groceries. The guy gave me attitude stating he didn't know about my truck so "I don't know what to tell you".  Not even an apology. I won't be coming back.

It blows my mind that there are one-star reviews on here. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find better service in Austin. I happened to take my car here once because I lived close, and it was a lucky coincidence! After I moved further away and tried another place that was closer (and pretty well-reviewed on here), I wasn't impressed because Hi-Tech had spoiled me.

They always get the job done quickly, and if it does take a little more time, you get a loaner car with no hassle. They've had plenty of chances to swindle me into doing things I don't need to do, but they don't. For instance, I took my 2000 Honda Civic there when my check engine light came on, and they ran a test (for free), determined that nothing was wrong, and I was on my way. I even overheard a conversation with a guy who listed about eight things he thought needed to be done to his car, and they told him that only two of those things were actually necessary. They're very honest. One time, I brought my car in because the window wouldn't roll up. They fixed it, and I left, but that night, it wouldn't roll up again. I brought it in the next day, and they apologized and fixed it again, free of charge. I admit I'm not the best with car maintenance, but they always fix everything quickly, fairly, and courteously.

Edit: I forgot one thing. They always explain to me what exactly the problem is and what they're going to do to fix it. When I took my car in for the window, they actually took me into the garage and showed me what was going on inside the door. I also appreciate that about them.

**[EDIT]** After writing this review, the manager at High-Tech called me and gave me a partial refund. He said that he had tried to contact me a few weeks after our last conversation and wanted to make it right, but I was no longer taking his calls. I did in fact ignore a few phone calls from him after our last conversation.

Here is my story with these guys, you can take from it what you will: I had two older cars, one was a Volvo and the other a Mazda. I say "older" the Volvo is a '97 and the Mazda is an '03. Both cars were having issues at the same time. I took the Volvo in first because it had a crack in the radiator. They replaced the radiator (around $650) and told me that it looked like I might be needing a new water pump soon. They said that if I changed the water pump I should go ahead and replace the timing belt. This was going to be a $1,300 job. I had only paid $1,500 for the car originally, so I told them I wasn't sure if I should bother fixing it or if I should just get rid of it. Two of them eagerly tried to convince my wife and I that the car was well worth the money to fix. Well, ONE DAY after we get the car back the water pump goes bad.  I bring the car in to have the water pump and timing belt replaced, while the car is in the shop, my Mazda breaks down. Another water pump issue. They replace the water pump and then they find out that it also has a blown head gasket. Now I owe them for the water pump, and it's going to be about $1,500 to replace the head gasket. This isn't really their fault, but I would have liked to have known that there was a possibility that the head gasket would need to be replaced before I went ahead and had them replace a water pump. I'm not a mechanic, they are, they knew there was potential for that kind of damage. Now the guy is telling me that he will take my truck and give me one that is a year older for $3000. I'm not sure at this point. I tell him I want to wait until I get my Volvo back before I decide what to do with the Mazda. I get the Volvo back a few days later. Drive it for ONE DAY, and it breaks down. I bring it back in and am told I have a blown head gasket. The mechanic starts lecturing me about my vehicle maintenance habits, which I admit are significantly lacking. He says the break down has nothing to do with him even though it broke down from over-heating in less than a minute. The guy replaced the radiator, the water pump, the timing belt, and a fan sensor, but somehow the car over-heating wasn't related to what he worked on. Now he is telling me he can sell me two cars. If I give him both my Mazda and my Volvo, he will give me two cars for "five or six thousand." By this point I'm not totally sure I trust this guy. I decide to go ahead and have the head gasket replaced on my Mazda because it was the newer of the two vehicles and to keep my Volvo at my place until I figure out what to do with it. They replace the head gasket, I get the Mazda back, it breaks down ONE DAY later. After all is said and done, I've spent close to $3,500 in two months and have two broke down vehicles to show for it. I had a very angry conversation with the head guy down there. He told me that my cars were both "pieces of junk and he would never have worked on them if it was up to him." A very different opinion than the one he had before he worked on them. I threatened to cancel the checks that I gave him. He said if I tried to cancel the check I gave him that he would go to the police and that I would be arrested. He said he has done that many times before. I told him I might sue him, he said he has been in business a long time and that not only can he afford a lawyer but he knows that I can't.  He told mt that if I wanted to bring my truck back in, he would look it over and see what he could do for me. After that phone call I  instead decided to cut my losses and sell the Mazda to a junk yard. The Volvo is still sitting in my apartment parking lot. The manager called me a few weeks later, but I never called him back.

This is a terrific place.  Family owned and operated, they are honest and treat you square.  I'm been lucky that I've only had minor issues and oil changes but my S.O. took her car there for major brake work and they were less expensive and faster than the Lexus dealer for sure. I'm a bit puzzled by reviews that dog them as I've always been treated with courtesy and respect there.  All in all, a great plus when you live in Travis Heights or Bouldin Creek neighborhoods.

I don't think I've ever written a review but I felt compelled. I've been to a lot of automotive places, some good some bad. This has been by far my best experience. I needed to flush my AC system and they not only did a great job, but did it in half the time they said the would. I'm sure they could have tried to replace some hoses, but they seem to know that customer service is king and breeds loyalty. Highly recommended I will certainly be back.

This is my second review for Hi-Tech wherein I adjust my rating up from 3 to 5 Stars.

Long story short: I purchased a used 2000 Subaru Outback Legacy (128K miles in great shape). It developed an issue with 2 pistons misfiring consistently and a disturbing loss of power in acceleration on cold starts after a few months of moderate road travel.

Initially, I brought it over to Rising Sun Auto (exclusively Japanese car repair shop on S. Lamar). They put about $500 bucks worth of work in replacing the distributor cap & sparks, doing valve work, and some PCV fuel line cleaning. All fine and good but didn't solve the issue.

Brought it back to R.S. three more times as the same thing kept on happening over a period of the following 3 weeks(!), and without them ever ultimately resolving the problem (mercifully the warranty covered any follow up work on the car). Gave up, understandably, and brought it over to Hi-Tech. Should have done that from the get-go...

Chamis (the owner) ran a computer test on it the moment I drove up and instantly had an "Aha! Moment" and knew exactly what was causing the misfires & power loss. Turns out the starter coil was toast. It took Hi-Tech less than 3 hours to get the part, fix the car and have it back up and running good as new for around $300 bucks. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say but the bigger question is how come R.S. couldn't figure out something as fairly straight forward as a starter coil?! Ugh.

Lesson learned and I'll continue to use Hi-Tech as my neighborhood car service shop from here on in.

Way to go, guys!

(p.s. - For all of you early model "Soob" devotees after a little research I discovered that this apparently is a common issue with this make & year Outback so should the same happen to you have them first check the starter coil.

In other circumstances the timing belt can lose it's teeth around 100K miles causing the belt to slip resulting in a similar response. The t.b. is a *far* more expensive fix but definitely needs to be addressed as you could easily destroy the engine after only a little driving.)

I rolled up today with a broken tail-light to find Hi Tech packed with cars.  Even though Chamis (the owner) was swamped, he immediately fixed my little tail light and refused to charge me.  I mean, flat out refused.

I've only been in Austin six months, but have had enough car trouble to see these guys three times.  I initially picked them because I live in the neighborhood.  Alas! The yelp reviews are true! These guys are honest, capable, and fair.  Chamis has been in car repair for 40 years - even the repair shop across the street (where I went to get a second opinion when I needed MAJOR repairs) basically told me that Hi Tech is the best place around and to trust Chamis' opinion.

I've never written a car repair review on Yelp, but when you get service like this, I feel like it's the least I can do.  But I might also make them cookies.

I was introduced to these guys through a friend who used them. He's one of those guys who seems to have 'take advantage of me' tattooed on his forehead.
High Tech was honest, reliable and professional.
I took my '00 Honda Odyssey to them for AC repair. I was told it would run about $650 to repair, and I said okay. I went to pick up the van at the end of the day and was told that it wasn't as bad as they thought, so the total was $450.
When does that ever happen? For me, never.
Recently i took the Honda back with an oil leak. They said that the valve cover gaskets were leaking, but they could tighten them a bit and save me from having to replace. Also, the oil filter and plug were loose. Many times these guys have had an opportunity to rip me off, and I probably wouldn't have known it. In every case they were very honest and competent.

They do great work and stand by their work with a warranty on the repair should anything go wrong. Great neighborhood shop for repairing European (and other) cars...

Friendly, competent, honest and decent. First I read reviews here then called around, and they were the first to also sound professional on the phone. I think the loaner car for $10 a day was the final thing that sold me, how great is that? So I was pretty much not inconvenienced at all by having to get my vehicle repaired.
They didn't bat an eye at fixing my 26 year old Jeep whereas some other places I spoke to actually exclaimed into the phone, "1985?! As in The Year 1985!?!" Really.
Very decent cost, and they only wanted to fix what was necessary. And they didn't charge me for using the loaner car over the weekend while the shop was closed. Pretty stress-free experience, not something I can usually say about my vehicle breaking. I will return.

These people are wonderful.  They are honest, kind, friendly and helpful.  I would always go to them for any repair.  Please give them a chance, they truly deserve it.  They also have cool-looking used cars for sale which sell fast; Hussein, Tariq and all their family are just great people.  And they are excellent mechanics.  No idea why the weird reviews.  I have NEVER had a problem with them, and I also have a less-common car (a Mini) but they always do a great job.

These guys have always treated me and my father well when we come in.  They are our neighborhood auto mechanic and it's nice to keep it local with them.  We have some crappy old cars and they keep them running.  They do good work on the newer cars as well.  I've never felt upsold and they seem to really only do what you need.  They just did a complete tune up on the car, but in the past, they've done electric work, cooling systems, suspension stuff, etc.

Honest, decent price and quick service.

Poor communication and scare tactics. BEWARE!

After having run over a curb, my girlfriend decided to get her suspension checked. They inspected it and determined that all was needed was a to balance the tires. This was great. Except they told me the charge was for balancing, which seemed extreme until I found out it was for the inspection. Poor communication.

Our mistake was made was when we decided to have them check out the check engine light. They performed a diagnosis on the car the price of which was not communicated to me. It turned out to be more than I was expecting. Poor communication.

After waiting until late that afternoon for a phone call to find out if anything had been performed on the car at all, we had to call them. They explained that the problem turned out to be a leak detection pump.

When asked how serious it was, someone at the shop said "Your car could BLOW UP". Why would any respectable shop owner tell a woman that a leak detection sensor could cause your car to explode? Simple.. using scare tactics on women to try and extract more money!

They quoted a price of 300 dollars for the part and 200 to install it. Because installing it required special tools and a shade-tree mechanic could not repair it themselves. More scare tactics!

I did a quick Google search and found the part online for 75 dollars and found out that installing it is quite simple.

Also, they charge 50 dollars for an oil change. Which seems excessive considering most other shops will perform it for 30, but no biggie.

Bought a used Lexus SUV from these guys when my credit wasn't so great.   Car has been great and they offered me free oil changes for the life of the loan. On any larger repairs they offer to let me pay installments and also never try to up-sell, but tell you exactly what's wrong and how long before needs to be taken care of.  The owner has also offered a couple small courtesy cosmetic fixes for always making payments on time.  Great guys!

I've been going to Hi Tech for over 4 years now, and wouldn't trust my car to anyone else. The key word here is trust. They will never recommend a service that you don't need. They've always gone above and beyond, and the folks at Hi Tech have even gone as far as to give me a loaner car while mine was in the shop. If you're looking for an auto shop you can trust with dependable service, you should check out this one.

I have been going to hi-tech for more than 20 years!!  I have had them work on my honda civic and toyota trucks. My toyota truck once had been sitting a long time and rats ate ALL the wires!! The wires in the engine, the side panels...everywhere.  And the guys at hi tech were able to revive it!
the service is always done quickly and the one time I was skeptical about a price, I got a second opinion and Hi-tech was the cheapest. I trust Hussein Chemis more than my doctor, or dentist!!

I had this horrible electrical problem with my car. I had already taken it to 3 different shops over a period of about 8 months and no luck. I was about to try to figure out how I could wreck it without getting hurt or caught.

Ali, who is an automotive genius, would not give up until he figured out what was wrong with my car. The charges were very reasonable.

They also loaned me a car while they were working on mine. I just can't say enough about these guys.

HORRIBLE! WARNING: DO NOT SUBJECT URSELF!!! I can't believe they are still open considering how they treat customers. I'm new to TX and was looking for a dependable local shop. I came for a wiper motor and left w/ a broken windsheild. When I asked about it, the owner began insulting me and name calling. I've never been treated like that in my life! NOT MY NEW GO-TO GUY!!!!!

So far I have a 10 year relationship with these guys and I wouldn't take my car to anyone else.  They are honest and don't push unnecessary repairs on you.  If you are unable to pay your bill in full, they work out a payment plan which is unheard of these days.  This works out for me as I don't want to rack up my credit cards AND pay interest on top of that.  They even hook you up with a loaner car to use while your car is being repaired.

I highly recommend this shop to my friends as well.

I often forget how nice it is to have a reputable auto shop around until I hear other other people tell me horror stories about other places.  I've been going to Hi Tech for many years now for minor (and some major) repairs.  They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need, they are very fast ,very reliable and also really great to work with!  One of the things I really like about the shop is the fact that they are more concerned about having your repeat business versus just getting you in and out.  It's very refreshing from an auto repair shop and one of the reasons I'll keep coming back.  Good job guys!

A real let down.  I moved here from Boston and really needed some help getting through the Texas inspection process.  These guys were not only not that helpful, but they simply didn't know how to work on the more basic parts of my Toyota Landcruiser.  

It got to the point where I had to bring them the service manual to show them how to adjust things, example "tighten" the steering.

I even went so far as to bring them brand new OEM Toyota parts and requested that they be installed.  Not only did they not call me to inform me of progress, but they simply didn't install 3/4 of the parts because they "didn't think it needed it".

I kindly asked them to put my car back together so I could pick it up and bring it someplace else.  What a drag.
