Reviews on Capitol Motorsports

I brought my bike to Capital Motorsports to get a quote on them purchasing it from me.  Robert is the employee that recommended I bring my Harley Davidson by.  Tommy Sanders is the person that actually looked at my bike to give me the quote.  He was very nice and extremely helpful.  Unlike Cowboy Harley, who twice had tried to rip me off, Tommy was very honest about what they could offer and recommend where I take my bike to get the most money.  I was very appreciative and thankful that he was not just another person wanting to rip me off.

Just got my first bike there and like all dealers they want to sell you something real quick. but when I asked to be left alone they did just that. They answered all my questions about bikes, which is great because I know nothing yet. When I finally picked something out they were as anxious as I was to get me on the road.

Good selection, reasonable prices. not bad.

We had a great experience here on 4/3/2013. My husband was relocated for work here and our only vehicle broke down. We were referred to Capitol Motorsports by a co-worker of his. We called Chris Khan and we frankly told him our situation, how much we could give as down payment, our past credit history and what type of vehicle we where looking for. We showed up at Capitol Motorsports did the paper work, checked out the vehicle Chris had already set aside for us. We met with Ronnie Brown to finalize the loan/transaction and drove home. The staff was great!! Pleasant!!!! And friendly. We will definitely return.

I had great service here all the way around. I actually found a helmet here, took the motorcycle road safety test, passed the written test and finally ended up buying a Harley from Bill Wright. Tommy also helped on the phone, everyone I dealt with was very knowledgable, patient and polite.

Stopped in here to check out a bike advertised on their website. Greeted by Ray, who somehow embodied every sleazy used car salesman cliche short of plaid pants and white shoes. Didn't get to see the bike I came for because it was "expensive". (Not according to Kelly Blue Book).
He tried switching me to another bike whose only similarity to the one I had come to see was that it also had 2 wheels. He was "psyched" to make me a deal on this one because of it's relatively low mileage for it's age. When I asked the price, he said, "I don't know, but I'm sure it's good.". He started drawing up a deal, even though I didn't want to do anything until the price was known. He went to his "manager" and returned carrying a deal sheet like it was Cinderella's slipper. The price was $8000. I looked up the model in KBB which said that in "excellent" condition it was worth $3300 retail.
I informed Ray that his price didn't agree with KBB and was in fact, more than double. He explained that KBB didn't take in to account their extensive overhead in maintaining such a state of the art facility. He also said that the Finance people make them charge more. I was too exasperated to explain how Financing, Price and Down Payment affect payments, or that the "retail value" takes the cost of running a dealership into consideration, so I summarized by saying. "Lick my hairy beanbag" and left.

So my experience with this dealership is from a motorcycle purchase. I bought a bike from them last year in may. They had the exact machine I had been looking for all over the place. When i went in to look, we talked about prices and they threw out a number just over 9k, to give you some more info, the bike was a 2008 kawi vulcan 900 with just over 4k miles on it, this bike sells brand new msrp for about 8500, so right off the bat they are trying to sell a used machine for more than it is brand new direct from kawasaki. i immediately let them know that 9000 is a ridiculous number. after about 45 of talking we work it down to 6500, a number i feel ok with, still a tad high, but doable. So i go home that night and get online, only to see that they have my bike on their site for 5500, 1000 less than we agreed. So next day i go back in and ask about it and they quickly apologize and drop my price to advertised price. Sale is made, im a happy camper.

Couple of months pass, and i have some troubles with my rear blinker intermittently working. i stop by the shop because i purchased their warranty. No one wanted to help me. i talked to the guys at the motorcycle shop and they tell me i need to talk to someone in the front office, so i got to the office and the "guy" i need to talk to isn't around, they suggest i come back another day to talk to him. i get his card and email him instead and tell him my problem and he promises to get it all squared away. I get a call from the mechanics and they are apologizing to me for brushing me off and assure me they will order my part. After a month of not getting my blinker fixed/replaced i finally just decide to fix it myself, took about 15 minutes and all is well. i email them back and insist that i get my money back for the warranty because it was ridiculous all the hoops i had to jump through for what was an extremely simple fix. its been 2 weeks and im still waiting for my money.

I work retail, and against my better judgment i bought the warranty, Don't Bother With It. They will tell you about all the customers they have that have made a claim. i wonder what kind of B.S. they had to put up with to get they repairs they had paid for.

No dealership is perfect, and this one definitely proves that statement!

I live about 20 minutes from this dealership and was wanting to check out a car advertised on .  We were out checking out other cars and closer than home, but still 10 minutes away.  I called to verify the car I was interested in was on the lot and Roger told me it was.  10 minutes later we get there, both my wife and I so we can make a decision, and we're told "Oh it's in service and they're closed today." was it here 10 minutes ago????  There is something shady about this dealership.  I'll look to buy at a more upstanding dealership that's not going to jerk me around before I even set foot on their lot!

This dealership apparently "merged" with emotion motor cars so I'm posting the same review for both.  My experience was at this location at 183 and Burnet.

I recently had no choice but to buy new used car - luckily I was introduced to Capitol Motor Sports by my friend Chris W. I met with Mike Martin he hooked me up with the sales manager. Needless to say I have a preconceived notion that a 'used car sales dealer' might be less that honest. NOT so with this company! Honest, helpful and professional. I had a great experience and would recommend Capitol Motor Sports to anyone looking for a clean, used car.

I purchased my car a couple of months ago and so far I have had no issues with the actual car.  The salesmen were very friendly (I guess you would have to be to be a salesman) and they made sure the car had any last minutes repairs it needed and new tires I came to pick it up - even lending me a loner car during that time.  They allowed me to take it to my personal mechanic so check it out before buying it as well.  Yes, they put in a GPS system but if you make your payments on time or within 4 days it shouldn't be a problem.  Mine has gone off prematurely a couple of times in error but they were helpful in fixing that. Overall, good experience with them so far.

I wish I could give negative stars for these guys. Overpriced. Terrible service. Worst car buying experience ever. WORST. Pass the word on. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Pass the word on.

Worse Car buying experience ever!

The salesman (Leo) was cool and easy going, but my bro needed a car fast and overpaid for a Kia Sorento that wasnt very well cared for by previous owners.

After paying about $5 large extra on this Sorento, Leo told us to hang around while they installed "something" before driving off. Well, they installed a GPS Device in case u dont pay. If you dont pay exactly on due date, your car wont start. LAAME! no freedom with these guys. Also, everytime my brother needed to start up his car, he had to put in the key in the ignition and wait for all sorts of sounds and noises (Atari sounds) before turning the key all the way to start the car. SUPER LAME!!

You've been warned!!
