Established in 1985.

A native Texan, Scott Crossett moved from Dallas to Austin and founded Apple Leasing in 1985.  Scott wasn't new to auto leasing, he just decided to get into business for himself. Scott's main goal was to make the car buying experience fun and easy, while providing great customer service.  Scott has built the company from the ground up. Originally, he was in a small studio office and hoped to lease five cars a month. Today, Apple moves over 100 cars every month because of their repeat and referral business. Having that kind of success doesn't just happen, they work to be better every day. Their goal is to have every customer say, "I can't believe how easy that was!"

My experience with Apple Leasing has been nothing but painless.  That's saying a lot since buying or leasing a car can be so traumatic!  I initially went there because my family had leased and purchased via Apple previously. All were great experiences. With my last purchase, i knew I wanted another SUV, but not a monster-sized one.  McCaleb worked with me to get exactly what I wanted.  My FJ Cruiser is spot on the best car I've ever had, McCaleb nailed it.  My very first car buying experience 25 years ago made me so gun-shy about the process.  I trust Mac and his team at Apple to take care of me AND my family.  He worked around my timetable to ensure I received the service I deserved and I was also impressed by his follow-up!   Buying a car is a big deal and communication is so important to the process; McCaleb recognizes that.  He really makes it a point to make sure you are getting what you want in addition to what you need.  I will continue to give Apple Leasing my business as well as recommend it to friends and family.

tl;dr: Make sure you compare any offer with Apple Leasing with leasing directly through the dealer!!!!

I got in contact with Chris at Apple Leasing as my wife and I were in the market for a new car and had never had a leased vehicle before.  We wanted to compare the difference between going through a third party (Apple Leasing) and going directly through the dealer.

I explained that I was looking to get an Acadia because of the seating arrangement and storage space, and was promptly told that the Acadia has a low residual value and that I should look into a Toyota, Honda, or Nissan.  I am always open to new ideas and since this was a first time lease for us, we decided to heed the advice and take a look at these vehicles.

None of them matched our needs exactly, so we decided to stick with the Acadia.  Our rep with Apple Leasing seemed very determined to change our minds and kept telling us that a Honda Pilot would be better for us.

We located an Acadia that we liked and had the GM sales rep provide the Apple rep with the stock number.  Apple leasing then contacted us to tell us that the lease payment was going to be over $700, and that the Acadia was on a "stop sale" and there was "no telling when the parts will be available to fix the recall".

I was also told by Apple Leasing that GM will "artificially inflate residual values to lower lease payments".  This is false because the dealer and Apple leasing both use the same bank (US Bank) for leasing.

Frustrated, we decided to work directly through the dealer (Covert GMC) who was able to get us the same exact vehicle on the same lease terms for $500/month, and that even included a couple extra protection options (dings, interior protection, etc) as well as free maintenance for two years, etc..

I'm not sure what the deal here is but it seems that Apple Leasing must make a significant amount of money or some kind of kick back for leasing from particular dealers or manufacturers.  If you do decide to work with these guys, make sure you compare whatever they offer you with going directly through the dealer.

Add me to the "I love Apple" fan club! I had a great experience with the leasing process. We worked with Julian Joiner who was amazing. I had an idea of what kind of car I wanted and he really helped me make a good decision based on residual value and just helped us understand the whole process as this was our first time leasing. We walked away with a terrific vehicle and the confidence that we made the right decision in leasing and with the car we chose. Julian grew up around the car industry but has none of the creepy car salesman vibe. I loved skipping the dealership and keeping it personal and simple - I highly recommend Julian at Apple - give him a call!!!

My new Volvo was ready to go when I got there.  McCaleb was amazing and made the experience painless and fun.  The office felt like home and was nice and clean.  Overrall, I had a great experience.  I would add more but I was only there for about an hour.  I highly recommend this place for those hard to find rides like my C-30!

This is quite possibly the single worst car dealer in Texas. I have never had such a bad experience. I bought a lease return that they had in the lot for at least 5 months.  After getting it home, after two days, tire goes flat. No biggie, fill it back up. Two days later flat again. I call Apple and leave a message. No return call. I bite the bullet after a couple weeks and buy new tires. Two days later, flat again. Turns out the inside on the rim was do rusted it leaked. More calls, more voice mail, and several emails with no response. I finally send an email to everyone I can find. Apple Leasing sales rep Eric Hiegert finally replies all with "I don't give a flying f?!&k about this."  Unbelievable. Complained to the BBB, but they don't care. I ended up replacing the wheel and tires myself. They never offered to pay and the BBB took the mark off their record.

Unless you like being insulted, swore at, and treated like garbage, avoid them at all costs. If you want a lease, go to the dealer. They all offer leases and smart buys. If you want a used car, buy one from a dealer with a guarantee. Dealers care about their reputation, while these guys "don't give a flying f&$&k"

Update: I included a screen shot of the email from Eric Hiegert which they fought to have removed. These guys refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and will do anything to shut up their detractors. Looks like Eric has since then left Apple Leasing and is no longer a sales rep there.

Wow, I read these reviews and it looks like folks are all over the map. I had an amazing experience. Here is the ole recap:
I needed a car and it was a particularly busy day. I searched around and found what looked to be a great used car on the apple leasing web site. I called and spoke with Gary. Gary was great. I asked him if he felt comfortable (i.e. was the car good enough) to do the deal over the phone and drive it to my office. He said absolutely. We agreed on the price and they brought the car and the paperwork over. The car was in phenomenal condition (as promised) and we did the deal. It was the best car buying experience of my life. I truly mean it.

There are no real "deals" here but I bought instead of leased.  I know better than to lease..it's a rip off and hard to break any lease contract, no matter what they initially tell you.  First and foremost, YOU don't OWN the car.  Don't get into a lease unless you are very sophisticated.  Don't use their contract either.  Buying is Ok, but you won't get any money off other than the advertised sale price.  Look at dealernet.com and see if you can find the deal you're looking for before you go into any dealership.  The salesman will show you they have the vehicles priced just below high retail and that is true.  But you are still paying medium high retail.  Never forget that.

The overall buying experience is OK, but it's kind of like the typical used car dealership.  No real deals here, but the vehicles are nice and mostly clean.  They probably don't know the history on them.  Even though they pull a CarFax, it doesn't mean anything.  I purchased from them but later found the car had been wrecked and it had a clean CarFax report.  Still, the vehicle drives OK except it pulls hard to the right.  As long as I don't want to turn left, I'm in good shape!

Car buying can be an experience.  Take your time and be patient.  Your best tool is your willingness to walk away from any deal.  Don't get excited about the car because believe me you can find another just like it tomorrow in another part of town.

I feel really bad because I've been walking around bragging about how much I like Apple Leasing and how easy it was to deal with them and how EVERYONE should go and buy or lease their vehicles with Apple Leasing. I will not recommend this now.

I had been living in Las Cruces, NM and was about to quit my job and move to San Francisco. I called Apple Leasing to see if I could be bought out of my car or if I could purchase the car. I was very honest about my circumstances and about how I was anxious that I might not be able to find a job right away in the Bay Area. Joe W. told me I couldn't be bought out of my car and if I did give it back it would be auctioned off and I would have the pay the difference on the loan vs. what it was auctioned off for. It would have also been considered an early lease termination. Pssh!

At first he told me Apple Leasing would make no money on this deal and they were not interested in getting me into a buy and that he couldn't get a loan without me having a job. Then he said he would work on it. He also told me that I didn't have any equity in the car and he could not arrange a loan without a significant down payment.

Eventually he called me back and had found me a loan with a 6% interest rate at 60 some months. I offered to put more money down but I was told that this would not lower my monthly payment nor would it change the terms of my loan. At this point, I was stressed and just wanted to get this taken care of and I agreed to the terms.

I purchased the car during the last two weeks of April. I moved to California May 1, 2012. I got a job on May 15, 2012. I t was originally my understanding that it would be registered in New Mexico and then I would have to register it in California.

Between then and now I have:

1. Sent them copies of my Texas drivers license and insurance.
1a. Called. Where are my plates? They are coming.
2. Sent them bills showing I was living in New Mexico at the time of purchase.
2a. Where are my plates? They are coming.
3. Sent them copies of my California drivers license and insurance.
3a. Where are my plates? They are coming.
4. Paid $70 to get a VIN Verification. Was told this would be reimbursed and it wasn't.
4a. Where are my plates? They are coming.
5. Paid for a smog check. Was told this would be reimbursed and it wasn't.
5a. Where are my plates? They are coming.
6. I called and asked where my plates were in August and got chewed out because "they had been TRYING to get me registered in California." Three months in and this is the first I heard about this.
7. Got an entire package of items from the California DMV (including the title)
8. Had one of the employees of Apple Leasing say, "I'm sure you will do the right thing," when I tried to share a laugh about how the inept California DMV sent me the title even though I didn't own it. As someone who is in customer service, it isn't the best practice to insinuate your customers might be liars and cheats.
9. Taken five hours off work to go straighten out this mess at the DMV. Apple Leasing received a refund of $434.00 because I went in in person and questioned all the fees on the fee schedule.
10. Called the Owner of Apple Leasing and left a message regarding the above on Friday, September 7, 2012.
11. Got an email from Joe W. saying I owe $600 + in fees that I "cost" Apple Leasing.
12. Finally got the Owner on the phone today (who, according to Clare was supposed to know what was going on and was pushing her to get this complete) and he had no idea what was going on.
13. Meanwhile. I've been paying my car payment. AS USUALLY.

As of this point, I am being told I owe more money to Apple Leasing - four months after I signed the papers for my loan for fees that I cost them. If I owe these fees, of course, they will be paid. But these fees, much like the entire process with Apple Leasing were not disclosed until the last minute. This is incredibly frustrating as a consumer because I did not plan for these fees.

DEAR APPLE LEASING:

NOT ALL OF YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVE BOTTOMLESS POCKETS. SO, YES, I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY THE $600.00 + OF FEES THAT I COST *YOU* THAT WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP BY THE MYRIAD OF APPLE LEASING EMPLOYEES WHO I HAVE SPOKEN TO OVER THE LAST FOUR MONTHS.

P.S. Was asked to remove this review and did so about three months ago. They magnanimously decided to deduct $178.00 off of final bill. Now I only owe the equivalent of two extra car payments.

P.S.S. Decided that I would pay them over four months.

P.S.S.S. I just sent you guys your last check today and I am still angry over this whole thing after getting three months of space from the actual events. So, I will be re posting this review and it will not be taken down.

They are a rip-off company, that will tell the customer any lies to just get your business.  They verbal agreement did not match the paperwork - small print.  When I complained they tried to strong arm me, by having me talk to the manager along with the sales man. Guess what - the salesman agreed with the manager and told me I was wrong.

They are much worse than new car dealership salesman.  

I finally got the manager to accept position, after showing him that the papers were different and they gave me some going away money.

Avoid the headache and rip-off double-talk.  Any place is better than this place.

If you're going to buy or lease a car, Apple Leasing should be the ONLY place you consider.  I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience since this company has gone above and beyond what was expected in my car-buying experience.

Scott at Apple was wonderful from the beginning.  He is honest, fair, genuine and trustworthy--qualities I never thought I would find in someone I purchase a car from.  Not only will I continue to buy cars from him and recommend all my friends and family to do the same, I will urge them to not go to dealerships.  Even after my warranty ended, I had a minor window issue but something that could have easily costs up to $500.  When I called Scott, not sure if he would even be willing to help out, he went above and beyond (as he does) and told me to come right in and they would do everything the could. And they did.  At no cost.  When I mentioned my satisfaction with Apple Leasing to Mike, an employee working on my repairs, Mike's response was "That's what we do.  We take care of our customers."   They certainly do.  

I never thought buying a car would be such an easy, wonderful experience, but thanks to Scott and Apple Leasing it was.  If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.  They definitely deserve it!

Love 'em!  Would use them again, or refer folks (which I've already done), in a heartbeat.  I wanted a somewhat hard-to-get new model (Camaro convertible) - I'd already found the one I wanted locally but the dealership wanted to do the "talk to the finance manager" routine to discuss pricing.  A friend suggested Apple - I sent an email from their website, got an immediate response from Buddy, and had the easiest car acquisition ever - a couple of emails, a couple of calls (not more than 10 minutes of time total), and the same car I'd seen at the dealer was waiting for me at their office.  A 10-minute, no pressure close, was easy, and I drove off.  And the discount washes/oil changes rock!  I highly recommend them.

nothing but GREAT things to say about McCaleb and his staff at Apple. To date we have purchased 4 cars from Apple. The #1 reason is they always have nice, clean, high quality cars and #2 they make it so EASY! it's the most non-stressed car buying around. I also love the fact that we get 1/2 price oil changes & 1/2 price car washes for our new cars. It's a great experience that I would recommend to all of my friends (and I have). I also like to peek around on their website -they keep it really updated and add new cars daily.

Great job Apple. You have a customer for LIFE!!

I have used McCaleb on the last 3 cars that I have either leased or purchased now.  I cannot stress how painless and stress free this process is.  I tell him EXACTLY what I want and somehow he manages to find it and makes it fit into what I am willing to pay.  He has even come to my Office to sign the papers.  I loathe sitting around a dealership for hours and hours waiting and the back and forth of the sales guy "talking to his manager", etc.... Let me tell you, that doesn't happen that way here.  I have also called McCaleb on several occasions for advise and he has always steered me right.  I could not be more pleased.  He will always be my car guy.

Tara H. seems to have gotten preferential treatment because she knew someone at Apple Leasing.

I was interested in buying one of their formerly leased cars. It looked pretty good, but upon closer examination, it wasn't in particularly fine shape despite having only 50K miles and had anomalies in its carfax records . What irked me further was that the wasn't even properly prepped (detailed) for selling. The agent lied to me about this and various other aspects of the car. I certainly can't recommend them over other sellers of used cars -- I'd rank them a bit below a typical car dealer. Buy with caution. By the way, my experiences were with the business on 12205 Hunters Chase Drive.
