Used car buying experience. The finance guy there is very rude to say the least. The list price would be a lot more (20% atleast) than it is worth.  The price on their website itself would be a lot lower. Would recommend to find a more trustworthy dealer.

I researched not only the car I bought but the dealership and pricing as well.  Vandergriff gave me the best price anywhere on a new 2015 Elantra.  The staff was friendly helpful, answered all my questions and treated me honestly and fairly.  I would definitely give them my business again and recommend them to my friends.

I was pre-approved with Road Loans and told that I had to put a set amount down and was approved for over 21,000. When I walked in to Vandergriff they started to tell me how mistaken i was, that my loan actually wasnt an approved loan, and not worth the paper it was written on. Of course they ran my credit through their lenders to get a bite. When that didnt pan out, they told me to go to a "tote the note" type of place. I tried another dealership, and guess what. My approval was in fact valid, it was worth the paper it was written on, and I purchased a wonderful 2014 new car for 21,000  with only 900.00 down. Thanks Vandergriff, you lost the sale and commission, but I still got a great car.

I purchased my first vehicle on my own on Wednesday and chose to go through Vandergriff. From the moment I made contact with them, before coming in, they were extremely helpful and pleasant people! I purchased my 2011 Hyundai Sonata with the help of Kirby Collins, their internet manager, and he was extremely knowledgeable so I felt very comfortable with him! I also did my financing through them with the help of Thomas who was the sweetest, funniest guy! All in all, I had a great experience with them! I will DEFINITELY be recommending this dealership with my friends and family! I hope to be a lifetime customer! :)

We bought a Hyundai at a different dealership last year. At that time we purchased a service package and were told we could use it anywhere. We called to verify that we could use our service coupon at this dealership and we were told we could. When we made the appointment we included all of the info for the coupon. When we arrived we handed the tech the coupon, they took our car and we waited. They came to get us when it was ready and it was then we were told they didn't accept the coupon. They would take it as a one time courtesy but we'd have to pay the difference (apparently the same service in Plano is $20 cheaper). My complaint is that they didn't inform us of this policy before they serviced our car. In my opinion, that's shady behavior. My husband and I both called to complain and got nothing but voicemails. We left messages but no one has called us back. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

We own a older  hyundi we love can't complain never broke down on us an were thinking seriously on getting another santa fe , it was between that an a few other dodge ect. my complaint is not on hyundi its on thr dealership in arlington tx ! the sales guy a young guy named fernando disregared everything we said we asked to test drive a base modle then we would go up from there he took litterly a hr to bring forth the car to test drive then it was the top of the line nice car then perceded to try to get us in that car quoted us a redicoulous quote we told him do not run our cedit we didnt athrourize they did  makeing a longer storer shorted worst experance ever was there almost 4hrs for nothing . We ended up with a beautiful  dodge derango  2014 an way cheaper. hum .

I will not get into the details because it would take forever. Basically I wasted half a day at their service department with nothing to show for. My wife and I both drive Hyundai vehicles and we will never go back to this place. They were rude and tried to take advantage of me. The issue with my car was not resolved and I only left with a bad story to tell. I emailed the service department manager about my experience and below is the "apology" I received from them.

"I apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you. Typically there isn't a charge if the remote can not be programmed, if it can, then there is a fee to program. Once again if we came across wrong I apologize. I will use this as a training tool to make sure that we strive to continue to provide the best service we can. We fell short in this case and will continue to learn from our mistakes to improve any where we can. Thank you for your detailed note and taking the time to let me know how the service was that you received."

Horrible place to do business with!!!! They are liars and cheaters! Bought a brand new 2014 Hyundai Sonata and within two months it needed a new motor!!!! Are you serious - they would not even give me a new car! Just gave me the run around!!!! Be advised - the new vehicle only had 1800 miles. Vandergriff Hyundai of Arlington sucks!!!!

Not a bad dealerships for Hyundai's. The service is pretty solid. At the moment of this review they are going under a little bit of remodeling. When I purchased a vehicle here it was pretty smooth sailing, but I am super familiar with the car business and knew exactly what I was getting into when I went into it so it was just a matter of filling out paperwork. I worked with Richard at the time. He was a really good guy who knew what he was talking about and was enjoyable to take to. I would recommend this Hyundai for Southwest DFW because they seem to have the biggest selection of Hyundai's at the moment. But I would definitely urge you more over to Frank Kent Hyundai in West FW because their service is impeccable with a great honest and simple car buying process that has a powerful finance department that can really get things explained to you and give you all the information you need to make a educated decision. Vandegriff made jumping through the hoops easy but they weren't as up front with letting me know what my options were. Not bad at all.

I have been researching cars and was looking to buy a Hyundai. From the second I walked up, the salesmen were pushy. Extremely pushy. I found the car I wanted but refused to purchase from that dealership. The financing department was ridiculous and they kept wanting me to sign stuff to try and work a deal. I left. I don't need to feel like showering when I'm trying to buy a car.

I bought the exact same car from a different dealership with the financing and payments I wanted. All without pushiness.

I purchased my vehicle at another dealership which has since changed hands... and they would not honor the service package that my husband insisted we buy at a cost of about $600.  So while I love my Hyundai, I was a bit disappointed and felt we had been taken advantage of.... live and learn (well we hope he did anyway :) )

Enter... the opportunity to use a different dealership.. and I am so glad we have.  The service department at this dealership rocks!  Friendly, knowledgeable, and doesn't try to talk you into anything you don't need... which I appreciate greatly.

After going to them for a whole year, their service has fallen way below par. No follow-up calls or emails.
Any problem will take, by default, one hour to get checked. That's even when there is no other car in the driveway or garage.
Must find a new dealer.

I took my 3 year old Hyundai Elantra in early this morning after it stopped shifting into park last night with no warning.... so annoying.  The manual demonstrated how to over-ride this apparent "safety feature" and ended by saying "take to a certified Hyundai dealer immediately" - so I did.

I bought my car at what use to be called Southwest Hyundai down on I-20 and I-35 (now Dallas Hyundai).  I had a great buying experience, but unfortunately the dealership has now changed hands and I have heard repeated reports of poor to fraudulent service from there since the change. (though I have not been myself).  Not having the time to deal with unscrupulous mechanics, I called my sister who also owns a Hyundai to find out where she had been going and she recommended Vandergriff in Arlington.... not exactly close, but worth it if I can trust them, so I went on line, easily registered on their website, and was able to make make an appointment for 7am (made at about 8pm the night before)... so far this looked good - easy peasy!

When I arrived, the service adviser (that is what they are called there) initially said it would take them at least a day as they were quite busy.  When I explained that I had hoped to at least have it looked at sooner as it was quite a trek for me to get there, but would try to get a ride, as I started to phone people looking for anyone that was awake and not at work to come get me, he said he would take a look and get back to me shortly and see what he could arrange.

30 minutes later, I had an estimate of what needed to be done.  The switch that had broken to cause my problem was still under warranty and would be fixed for free... there were also 2 recalls (I vaguely remember getting something about those in the mail, but I am not so good about keeping up with this stuff) which he said they would fix today (a fuel pump issue and an air bag issue, neither of which had been problematic)... also clearly free.  Two other items they had noted (since the car had 29,700 miles and was due soon for the 30,000 check so they just did it) was a very dirty cabin filter and that the transmission fluid needed flushing and replaced (usually done at 30K)... knowing I would likely not make it back for another 30K miles, I said "just do it all now".  Three hours later after relaxing in their lounge and working on my computer via free wi-fi, I walked out to find my car fully inspected, cleaned, vacuumed, running great, ready to go, and I didn't feel I had been ripped off, cheated, mislead, or duped in any way.

This is exactly what I want from my repair place!  Friendly, reliable, trustworthy and polite service!  Despite the almost 30 mile trek, they are now my service provider of choice... and who knows, maybe now that I know it doesn't have to be the experience from hell, I'll get in there more regularly.
