I would love to be able to give these guys 5 stars, and if I were simply reviewing the new car buying experience or the Finance team, it would be a 5. However, the Service Department killed this review. I think DD should consider having a separate area for Service reviews and Sales reviews.

Here are the facts:
1. Called DD for service on a factory recall for my Jeep (happily purchased at DD back in the fall) and made an appointment for a specific time (provided by them) and was told the entire process would take 30-45 minutes (this was also the stated service time on the recall letter).
2. I showed up five minutes early for my agreed upon appointment but was told that the process would likely take 1.5 to 3 hours and might even take all day.
3. I explained what was agreed upon originally, that I had planned my morning around this and that I could not wait that long.
4. I calmly and professionally explained to the guy in Service (I use that word loosely) that these guys just cost me a 35 minute drive (each way), 10+ dollars in tolls (each way), an hour of my time and the wrecking of my morning schedule.
5. The "service" guy didn't so much as offer even the slightest appearance of apology or sympathy to THEIR mistake but simply looked at me and blinked.
6. 30 seconds of uncomfortable silence
7. I requested my recall notice back and Service guy turned and left, not saying a word, then returned with my letter, handed it to me, and turned around to walk back into his office.
8. I got back in my Jeep and backed out of the service lane thinking I would go on about my day.
9. I made it to the end of the DD parking lot and thought, "you know what? I really should say something about this to someone." I parked and went into the main Sales area.
10. I bumped into the same guy who sold my Jeep to me and he took me back to the Service Department to see if we could get all this straightened out.
11. Sales guy introduced me to the main Service Manager who said we would get it all figured out. In his defense, he was at least professional and apologetic. The Sales guy went back to the Sales area.
12. The Service Manager prattled on about how this was really the call center's fault and that they weren't supposed to be giving customers specific durations of service appointments. He then stated that there really wasn't much to be done in my case but that he could give me a rental car if I couldn't wait for my Jeep to be finished (an indeterminate amount of time).
13. I said "thanks" and that I would like a rental car because I had a meeting coming up. It was already 30 minutes past my previously agreed service appointment time so I still had another hour and a half  to get back to work for my meeting.
14. I asked how long will it take to get the rental car. The Service Manager says it will be at least 1.5 hours and that, most likely, by the time I got my rental car, my Jeep would be ready.
15. I decided that I would just reschedule my meeting and wait for the Jeep. As I was getting ready to make the call to reschedule, the Service Manager says that he can't guarantee that my Jeep will be ready but that it might be, or, I might also be needing to wait around all day.
16. It is at this point where I become angry but realize there is nothing I can do aside from letting other people know of my experience. So, I tell the Service Manager, again, that I don't have that much time to spare and that I will have to come back.
17. I leave (which was the smartest thing I did since first arriving at the DD Service Department).

If you read other reviews on Yelp, you will see that several people have had similar experiences to mine.

Do yourselves a favor, buy your car from Don Davis, but get it serviced somewhere else.

I'd been driving the same car for almost 15 years...first and only car I'd ever bought. Two months ago I finally decide to let it go, took it in for a trade. And this place was the closest to the shop where I was at the time. The car buying process was easy. I drove away content...decent car..payments within my budget. The problem occurred when I took the car back in for a windshield repair. It was purchased, already cracked, with a promise to fix it. I make my appointment over a week before going in...almost 2 months after the sale. I'd read the reviews and had a feeling it wouldn't be a quick fix. I get there and am told that the sales manager,Adam, didnt approve the repairs. He say she say bs. So I spoke to Adam and got everything ok'd...left the car for repairs that were to take a couple hours. I dropped my car off at 9am on a Monday and received a call on Wednesday close to 4pm..that it was ready. At the end of day 2 I was given a rental car and I don't even think the advisor, Mark C. was going to offer..I had to bring it up. Never got an apology. He tells me that the wrong window was ordered twice? I felt like I was on candied camera. And meantime, in between time..the temporary tags on the car had expired.Never received a call that they were ready. Didn't know if they should've come in the mail or what. So When I pick up my car, I had to walk over to the sales office and inquire. My salesguy Ashley tells me that the tags have been there 2 weeks, some guy should've called me?  Now I know why it took me so long to buy a new car. They defenitely lost a customer.

I work in customer service, so I understand that there may be a learning curve when someone is new in their role.

This guy tho. Had a difficult time answering basic questions, so I asked if I could test drive a model I was interested in. 15 minutes later, no one else around  and I was still waiting, at that point I wasn't really interested after he wasn't able to answer my questions, id been waiting just to test drive a vehicle - imagine if id try to purchase? So I kindly told him I was going to look at other places.

This is where he became aggressive- I get it we all anticipate that. But he told me I would be wasting my time - rude while in the same breath ranting about how great his store was. So I remained polite and said no thank you.

This is where he took it too fair and compelled me to write this review. As he was walking away he loudly started mumbling under his breath stating something like ".... You're never going to have luck with that bad  attitude" (I had remained polite!) and I asked him "what did you say?" He then tells me, "I said have a good day" and walked inside. That was not the case, so now you've offended me twice in such a cowardly way.

I went inside and made a complaint, the manager tried to help but by that point I wanted nothing to do with them.

Great customer service. We tried working with a dealership closer to home, however the respect and integrity of the people that worked at the other dealership(which I will not mention, horrible experience) was something that turned us off from buying.

When we went to Don Davis, we were helped by  Jim Britton who was patient with us and gave us exactly what we were looking for in a vehicle. He was informative during the whole process, was interested in what we had to say, answered any questions, and helped us in choosing the perfect Jeep.
The whole process took about an hour. AN HOUR! That's it.

Although this dealership was out of our way, we won't hesitate to come back. We love our 2015 Jeep and are so thankful to Jim Britton and Don Davis for the great customer service.

Made an appointment days ahead to have a recall fixed. Came in on time for my appointment and they told me it would be late afternoon before they got to my car..... This is a 30 minute job that they need to do. I'm wondering what was the purpose of my 9am appt. I won't be back this is the second time I've left there extremely unhappy. Trying out the Holt dealership today.

Went to another local Jeep dealer first - had a horrible experience, so was hesitant to visit another Jeep dealership.

Don Davis was a dream! All of the staff were courteous and professional. I definitely felt treated like a valued customer.

They helped me get the model I wanted (I already knew what I wanted before I arrived) and they got me the best deal. What more could you want?

My wife was out of town at the time, but the staff overnighted the paperwork to her to get her signature on the necessary forms - I felt like that was an above-and-beyond kind of service, for sure.

I would certainly recommend Don Davis Jeep to anyone - and they have a customer for life in me!

Purchased a new Jeep Wrangler.  The process was fast and without any of the annoying tactics some dealerships attempt to use.  I got a good price and they delivered the new Jeep to my house.  We will go back to them for any future Jeep purchases.

My review is for the Sales department.  The sales men were very young.  They try to act like they know what they are talking about but I'm pretty sure they haven't been selling cars for more than 6 months, if that.  I am saying "they" as I do not want to name the guys that dealt with us.  Nice guys but not experienced.  I didn't like the fact that when we went to go test drive the car, the sales man drove first.  A little strange if you ask me.  We will not be returning to this dealership due to the lack of knowledge these guys had and the fact we don't feel comfortable with signing a financing or lease agreement with them.

After looking for a truck for everywhere in the Arlington area I made a call to almost every dealership in town with each call I'm always expecting that "pushy, fast-talking salesman" I called the dealership and they set me up with a saleswoman named Nicole, Nicole gave me honest number for what they would give me for my trade, monthly payments with out having to run my credit and she wasn't telling me lies just to get me in the lot, after exchanging many calls with Nicole about the deal, I came into the dealership and test drove the truck (I didn't think I was gonna even like the truck and I knew I wasn't buying that day) after the test drive, we sat down and looked at numbers I didn't feel 100% confident in the numbers and then I met a gentlemen named Abraham he's one of the sales managers at the dealership he assured me that the numbers were going to be very close, we agreed on letting them run my credit and Abraham and Nicole were both right! Nicole and Abraham are both very professional, they are not there to make you regret anything. They were the only reps I met at this dealership but if there're team is just as honest, and carry the same integrity, this dealership will be going a long way!

Can this place be any worse? I bought my car here and when I picked it up there was a huge dent in the door. It ended up taking them three weeks to fix the dent, meanwhile they gave me a crappy rental to drive when I had just paid for a new car. When I complained they credited me a free two year service package for all my oil changes. Ok I'm happy now, but wait....

The service department is horrible at setting expectations! Last time I got my oil changed I was quoted an hour wait time and it ended up being over three hours. This time I had them drop me off at the nail salon while I waited. I called the front desk and requested the shuttle then went and waited outside to make sure I didn't miss him. 40 minutes later I called back to check on it and the front desk told me they forgot to tell the driver but would send him out now. I ended up waiting over an hour. Screw the rest of my service package I don't care if I'm getting free service it's that bad. I won't be back.

2 stars at best - my guys trying HARD to sell me on needing $465 service to maintain my 4x4 Grand Cherokee....and barely listens as I tell Hume REPEATEDLY I DON'T HAVE 4x4!

Just change my oil quickly so I can get on with my day please...

I went in for a simple oil change and it took  1 hour and 5 minutes. This is the second time that I've used them for an oil change. The first time took around 45 minutes. If you use there service department prepare to wait for a long time.

My review is of the pre-owned sales department at Don Davis Auto Group and the outstanding service received by salesman, Joseph Glasenap and the management team. Like most families, we found ourselves needing to purchase a vehicle due to unplanned circumstances with one of our others. I found the website to be accurate and easy to use. After locating a vehicle we were interested in, the sales team was quick to follow-up in arranging a test-drive. When we arrived on the lot, the pre-owned sales manager greeted us promptly, and readied the car for our test drive. The entire process from start to finish was quick, not high pressure, and professional. No tricky sales tactics, even in the finance department... While I have no experience with the service department, and due to the other reviews below that describe negative experiences in that dept, I will likely avoid it, I can tell you that my experiences with the pre-owned sales department was incredibly positive and I will be back when we need another vehicle for our family and would recommend this dealership to any of my friends looking for the same.

I bought a new Dodge truck 4 by 4 Longhorn from Don Davis. Everything has gone well from service changes to I had to have a replacement of a back seat for faulty stitching but the dealership took care of it and replaced it right away. I would definitely recommend the Dodge dealership in Arlington Texas for my next purchase and for friends.

Bought a new Wrangler JK.  Took it in for service to get the oil changed.  A week later at the car wash, cleaning the engine, I notice the oil cap was missing.  Went back to the dealer to show them what I found and got the run around try to get the cap replaced.  Found the original cap next to the battery in the engine compartment.

No more dealership maintenance.  At least when I do the oil change, I make sure it is done right.

Sales process was a great experience. They were very helpful. Unfortunately, the service department sucks and I was told by the other customers waiting that they too have had horrible after horrible experiences. I went once to have a headliner replaced on my car that I had bought a month before. They ordered it and told me they would call when it was in. Three weeks later I was still waiting. I called and they could not find my work order so I had to go back. When I got there, after starting a whole new work order, they miraculously found the old one. They couldn't find the part and they just said it had not arrived, but another customer's had so they were just going to use that. It turned out to be the wrong part. So they had to order the headliner. They are supposed to call me when it comes in, but don't be surprised if I'm back on here three weeks later and haven't heard anything.

just bought a jeep.  experience was fast and easy.  negotiated via text message.  got good price.  no complaints.  wasn't wowed but nothing about negotiating to buy a car is a thrilling experience.

Be careful of Bait and Switch from ads placed on and from this dealer with a low, inviting price.

After talking to three different associates, phone calls and face to face visits, and one email reply to a question over a two day period,  all three associates say the car is on the lot and come in to see it.

You arrive only for them to tell you the car sold and all of the associates AND the sales manager giving different dates and times of the sale and type of sale. A couple bought it, sold at auction, sold yesterday, sold this morning, sent it to auction, etc..... I find it doubtful the car was ever for sale at the lot.

They will be glad to show you something similar, but at a higher price.

I have bought two new vehicles from Don Davis in the past at the Ford dealership with joy.
The Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer. not a chance of me buying there

More important than the price, the free BBQ Tuesdays, the Service Department, is integrity.
The General Manager lacks placing integrity that in this branch of the  dealership.

If you are going the route of bait and switch to get them in the door, at least get your stories together.
