Run don't walk away from these guys! This place is the reason why car saleman have a bad reputation.They wouldn't fix my van after the second day I owned it after they promised me they would.Bunch of liars and scammers.Their word means nothing.I should have read the Google reviews before I went there.I suggest you do just that and buy your next car anywhere but from them.RUN AWAY!

We purchased a vehicle from AutoMax in Arlington in which the "tie rod", which connected the front left tire to the steering in the vehicle, was not tightened prior to our leaving the shop. This caused the bolt to simply come loose while being driven, and the front left tire locked in place. Several mechanics told us that because there was no break at all, it looked as though it simply became unscrewed because of the oversight of whoever inspected the vehicle, which could have taken off the front end of the vehicle or, at a higher speed, could have caused the vehicle to flip. Our down payment was returned, after several days more than were required, and our contract voided.

The problem is that we had to tow the vehicle ourselves to our home, twenty minutes after purchase after the front tire locked and vehicle would no longer move, at a salesperson's express instruction, under the guise and belief that the lot would pick the vehicle up and tow it back on Monday. We were assured several times that the vehicle would be towed at the lot's expense on Monday. However, on Monday, we were basically told "If you can get it here, we will deal with it. If not, you can wait until Wednesday." In order for us to purchase a new vehicle, we needed a refund initiated in time to have the amount process, and therefore needed the matter dealt with as soon as possible, as we were assured by salesperson Omar would be the case. For that reason, I then towed the vehicle back to the lot. They "fixed" the problem, but my husband stated that even with the tire reconnected to the steering, the vehicle still wandered and/or pulled to the right when being driven. He told him that we would like our money back and the contract cancelled. We had discussed reimbursement for the tows prior to this, but hadn't got a definitive answer; suddenly, no one could authorize a refund and the "manager" of AutoMax was out of town and apparently not answering any form of correspondence.

When we finally did receive any form of a refund, it was in the form of a credit to my debit card, which took several more days to process, for which we had to wait before any other vehicle could be purchased. In the meantime, during the winter storm that blew through here in North Texas, I was traveling on the bus, despite an allergic skin reaction to extreme cold temperatures that causes my skin to sometimes be covered in hives, and a lack of medication. I placed a call to AutoMax on the same day that the refund was issued to inquire as to how long it would take for the amount to post, was transferred by salesman Omar "straight to his manager Mike", and the call went directly to voice mail, and I left him one. My call was never returned.
