These guys gave me  a $4,300 estimate for repairs. After to taking the truck to an independent shop I found that many of the suggested repairs were not even necessary. The truck is all fixed up now & running better than it has in years for $1,000 thanks to Bao's auto repair. I understand the dealer will almost always be higher and often for good reason. In this case I feel Ted Russell Ford was either straight-up dishonest or at the least too lazy to properly diagnose the problems. Their prices on the legitimately needed repairs were also two to three times what I ended up paying for quality work.

I just moved to Knoxville April 1st and after first visiting Ted Russel Ford, the competing dealership, I was dressed very casually but the salesman was helpful but finance manager blew me off...nevermind the fact I drove in with my $70k Cadillac Escalade, a detail lost on him, I was basically told I was bluffing and if I did not want to pay his price that he could not be flexible or offer options..that was the treatment of finance manager Mr. Denny. After that, I searched online and communicated with Cole at LC Ford.

Sonny from TR Ford (Internet manager) did try and fix the situation after calling me and me voicing my concerns but ultimately, they just didn't do enough.

The competition were more efficient and listened to what I wanted before coming in.
When I arrived he was prepared and we made the deal on a 2013 Expedition in less than 30 minutes.

It was the difference between how i was treated at LC vs TR Ford combined with the preparation and willingness to discuss options. I will be buying another car in the next 4 months and it will be at LC Ford again.

My experience MAY NOT be the norm at TRm in fact I am fairly certain it was an anomaly BUT, none the less, it was a poor example and lost sale from a new resident who would have certainly bought more and spread the word.

This review is for Ted Russell Kia which is currently on N. Peters but will be moving to Parkside Drive in 2012. First, every employee who works there really believes in KIA and they all talk about how active the owner Ted Russell is in the business and they all seem to appreciate his involvement. It's kinda unusual to find people who believe in who they work for and it is impressive. This was my first new car purchase and I am a woman. I did my Internet research and I talked to older men about buying a car for advice - including my father who has been in car repair and sales industry since he was a teenager before setting foot in any dealership, as well as some neighbors. I looked at Edmonds and other sites for tips and tricks. I shopped at two Kia Dealerships, 2 Hyundai dealerships, and two Chevrolet dealerships. What I found at Ted Russell were two salesmen who were excited about the product, who listened to me, who called me to let me know when a new shipment came in that matched my needs and wants, and who treated me with respect and negotiated with me fairly. Then when it came time for my first maintenance visit - today - the service department went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience as well. We had a miscommunication regarding the services to be performed and they took responsibility for it even though it was a mutual misunderstanding. As for Kia, Kia provided me with a free fall checkup and Ted Russell comped my first oil change. In short, my first scheduled maintenance service ended up being free which I did not expect. I highly highly recommend Ted Russell Kia!
