Reviews on Charles Street Motors

Darline T. | 2013-08-20

If I could give this place a "0-Star: Eeek, RUN AWAY!" I would in a heartbeat.

I was in the search for a new car after having a horrible experience with my first and found Charles Street Motors to favor really good reviews on Google. As a woman, we are easily plagued as naive when it comes to cars and their arsenal of issues but I'm a woman from the 21st Century and I use Google. That should have dissuaded me from the rest but Ron, my salesman, ignored the obvious and trekked along the lines of mediocre salesmanship.

I will admit, our initial encounters went favorably but as soon as papers were about to be signed, things started to collapse. Upon initial knowledge that the car I was interested in purchasing needed some repairs (as its normal for a used car), I politely asked to see a list of the repairs needed. I should have steered clear when I received a half-assed pink paper with sloppy writing but I was able to get the "gist" of what needed to be done.

The day I signed for the car, I told it would be ready in less than 2 weeks. A few days before it was due, they said they found something else that needed to be replaced and the parts should be arriving shortly. I was assured again, that the car would be good to go for the day the insurance would be activated. It was not. The day of, I hear there is something wrong with either the air conditioner's condensate pump or the condenser but they weren't sure until they "got in there".

Let's skip ahead here. When I got the car, they assured me in writing that all the repairs listed were made. They were not. I've had to bring back my car at least 5-6 times in less than 3 months for all the same issues. I've sent letters, had people get involved but honestly, the hassle and stress it was putting on me just wasn't worth it. So after the 5th repair on just my AC alone, I made a vow to let this headache go away on its own.

So instead of investing anymore money and time out of work, I will simply let people know to never come to Charles Street Motors. They do not pride themselves in being honest, reputable sales and repairmen.

Steer clear and don't even bring your worst enemy here!
