Reviews on Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia

sales and service people were incredibly rude and the wait time was excessive (above and beyond what they quoted me). do yourself a favor and go to the Toyota dealership in Mount Laurel or Central City, where they are courteous and professional--I will never come here again.

Sub-par customer service and sales tactics.  Rude sales representative was not knowledgable, and was very evasive about the total cost of the car (but eager to provide a monthly payment amount).   After deciding against the car purchase, I had to ask several times before my car key was returned to me so I could leave (was considering a trade-in).  For a couple of weeks after that, I received an annoying stream of emails and phone calls from the dealer "following up" on my experience.  I responded to the latest phone call by stating I was definitely not interested in purchasing the car.  I received another phone call from the same representative only minutes later asking if I was still interested in the car (I think he forgot he had just called me).  Overall, really disappointing customer service skills.

I didn't come to this site to write a review today, but after reading all of the other reviews posted I decided to write about one of my own experiences. I purchased a new 2013 Camry SE for my wife in June of that year. I went back about 7-8 months later for an oil change and was told that my inspection had expired. I ask the service rep how could that be, that I've had the car less than an year, and the inspection sticker should have been good for a year after I took delivery. He told me that I had to talk to the salesman who sold me the car. I spoke to that salesman who said that it was nothing he could do, that it would have to be done soon anyway! I explained that wasn't the point, that the inspection sticker should have been updated when I took delivery of the car. While still there in the service department I called the GM and after informing the rep the reason for my call and being on hold about 10 minutes, she told me to go to the service department manager office that he was waiting for me. When I get to his office, he said that he would take care of it "this time." Granted, I never took the time to notice the inspection sticker to see if it had expired, but I should not have had to until the one year anniversary of my purchase. This was my wife and I (THIRD, 3RD, NUMBER 3) vehicle from Champion, then Sloan Toyota, a  2006 Camry, 2010 Camry, then the 2013 Camry, all were paid cash, no trade or financing, so it would seem that they would take better care of their loyal customers. My wife loves Camry's, I am a Cadillac man myself, but she says her next car will be a Lexus.

Horrible customer service skills. The sales rep I delt with was rude he made me feel like he was doing me a favor by offering me the most hideous blue corolla. The finance person in that day was also twice as rude. I remember the sales man asking her a question about my loan application and from a distance her facial expression made me feel like they were taking pity on me. Needless to say I didn't not buy the ugly blue corolla they had for me and there were no other options as they kindly put it. Sorry sloan of Cottman even if I have less than perfect credit my money still has value and u can't tell me what u want me to have.

I agree with the other people that are posting below. What was then called champion toyota is now sloane toyota. I leased a 2011 camry and got completely ripped off by this dealership. I over paid about 4k-5k on this car and the salesman who sold me the car had the nerve to call me before the end of the lease and ask me if I wanted to get into a new lease. Yea right!! Basically told him off and said that I will never do business with this dealership again. Avoid this place at ALL costs!!!

Went for a test drive today, and the vehicle I was shopping for was not on the lot.  Drove a used 2012 instead.  Disappointing.

Extremely disrespect and dishonest to customers. The salesman there are hiding discounts, special offers, and rebate. The price tag is often more expensive then other Toyota dealer. If you are not familiar with vehicles, DONT GO THERE ! Only thing they know is ripping you off.

If i could give this place a negative 5 stars I would.

They are the most dishonest people in the car business.

Let's start with selling my mother a 5 year 60k mile lease.   When she was told she was buying 4 year 60k lease.   Then trying to tell her at 90k she needs a timing belt when the car had a timing chain.

I would never do business with you again!

This was when it was Champion Toyota but I'm still never going back!

Purchased a new Camry for $28K. The car was covered with ice & snow but they cleaned it up before I took delivery. Everything looked okay but it was getting dark out. Parked the car in the garage for two weeks, four more snow storms. Weather finally cleared and had it washed. Noticed damage to the front glass windshield.Probably occurred when they did a rush job to clean it.  Immediately took it back to them. Sales manager said it was my fault and they would not correct it. Told me to file a dispute but they have the final word. HORRIBLE customer service. Once they have your money you're SCREWED. Do NOT do business with these people, you will be sorry.

Update:  I elevated my review by one star after management at the dealership expressed concern and resolved the situation.  I will continue to return to Champion's service department for maintenance, as the staff there is excellent.

This place is HORRIBLE.  I hope you have a whole days worth of nothing to do to get your oil change here.  Or st least arrange a pickup drop off by a friend.  Don't trust the courtesy ride, my car got broken into one of the punks that drove me home one time.  Robbed my car blind.  They even took baby clothes that I had bought AND a sonogram pic for what? I have no idea.  Another thing, on 1 occasion, they told me I needed services I really didn't need, that woulda cost me $200+. and on another occasion, they said I HAD to replace my tires, when you guested  it i didn't.  They're just lazy and liars, go to another Toyota.
