I was buying my first car from these guys, I found a 2004 VW Passat I liked and wanted to purchase. I am a 21 year old female so I knew right off the bat going into this that they'd try to swindle me as much as possible.

Anyway, my roommate and I spent 4 hours in their office with Tony upstairs chainsmoking (it was almost unbearably nauseating to be in there and I don't usually mind cigarette smoke) and "working on things." I finally was able to get my car, which had such low gas I immediately had to go to the gas station after leaving the office. Kind of not cool but whatever.

Then all the sudden as I pull out my check engine light comes on along with a few other lights on the dash. I called Tony and he begged me to not take it to DEQ and to bring the car in. He said he was going to fix it. Before I brought it in we tested the engine codes and it said there were issues with a temp sensor and the CAT converter. Tony kept my car for over a week "fixing" it, he wouldn't answer my calls and his worker had nothing to tell me the entire time. I was able to figure out which mechanic it was at after a few days of prying from Tony's worker. When I was finally able to get a hold of the mechanic they were told that I was NOT ALLOWED to know what was wrong with my car or what they were working on, as per Tony's REQUEST. I stated multiple times that I wanted to take it through DEQ however when I got there he had already run it through twice, it failed the first time and then he ran it back through again after he replaced the cat converter (the most expensive part).

I got it back with NO gas in it again (how was over half a tank wasted while it was supposedly sitting in a dealership being worked on???) and food crumbs in the back seats along with my little frebreeze smelly thing missing to get the cigarette smoke out of the car. Why was that taken? Whatever. AND THE FREAKING DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR WAS MISSING.

Once I was told my car was ready to be picked up I headed over before work to get it. Then Tony proceeded to tell me that he had to get the plates at the DMV and that took almost 2 hours, so I was very late for work. We had agreed previously on a 90 day trip permit and then he would SEND me the tags and license plate... But nope. Of course it had to be difficult.

After he got back I was very upset since I was already so late for work stranded out on 82nd ( I work in Beaverton. ) He tried to tell me that he was negative on the car, that he put so much work into it (over 1200 dollars he said he spent on the repairs.) BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T PASS DEQ. IT IS ILLEGAL TO SELL A CAR THAT WON'T PASS DEQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH I AM SO MAD JUST THINKING ABOUT IT. The way he spoke to me in such a condescending way saying that I don't appreciate anything he did for me... NO I am not going to go out of my way to thank you after I got jerked around for over an entire week of not having my vehicle I had just purchased because you didn't make sure it could pass Oregon law requirements before selling a vehicle! It's not my fault!

Not only all of that he lied to me about the bank who purchased the vehicle, asked me to lie about my income, and fabricated my income so that the bank would buy it.
Thank god I'm paying off the entire thing on my first payment, I hope that's a big FUCK YOU to the jackass at Reliable Credit and Tony. Not going to suck any more money out of me, thank you.

First car experience was a fucking nightmare no thanks to this guy.
