We've been using "Timmy" for several years now and for the most part we've been
pretty satisfied with his work - he's fast and gets the job done correctly - we've
never had any dis-satisfaction with his work. However, we have thought several
times that he's charged too much for the amount of work he's done. He says he
charges $55 per hour. So why does a half hour job be $100??? Makes you 'wonder.
We are however, taking one of our cars back for some work tomorrow a.m.
We're hoping its minor but the problem is you just never know how much it will
cost until he's done. It's usually quite a bit more that you think it's going to be!!

I actually rate this a fat ZERO, but yelp won't let me post without a star.

I'm very supportive of local business. I want my neighborhood to thrive and local businesses play a large part in that.

But NEVER. NEVER. EVER come to this place. It was 8:45 AM and I came in for a quote or at least to ask if they offered the kind of service I needed. The desk was empty, a man was working in the garage, and a man was sitting on the couch. His lot seemed clean, but his door was broken and duct-taped. The inside looked dirty and greasy.

I waited for to be serviced for a few minutes when the man on the couch says, "I not work." That was okay, I didn't think he worked there anyway. So I smiled at him and said okay. I waited some more. No one came. The man on the couch said again, "I not work today." So I said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you worked here. Is there anyone that can help me answer a couple questions?" He stood up, angry and  frustrated to say, "I not work today. you call, go. I busy." So I said, "okay, I'm not looking to get work done today, I just have a couple quick questions. And your sign says OPEN. But you are telling me I can't even speak with anyone or make an appointment.?"

Basically, he kicked me out. I waited politely. He was too busy, but he wasn't working, and no one was on the desk, and he couldn't answer my questions even though he was just sitting there. I told him he had terrible customer service and I'd never come back again. He said, "fine, just go, I don't care." Okay, so he started yelling at me and showing me to the door. It was actually kind of scary.

I am not even exaggerating this. He made my blood pressure rise the way only my siblings can! Maybe if he had better customer service he would be able to afford a new front door!

I have no idea why this place is called "Timmy" Automotive... Quan is a good knowledgeable mechanic and the owner of the business. I've had him do work for me which was as simple as an oil change to as difficult as replacing an entire motor and so much in-between. He has always done good work at a very reasonable price. The only drawback is the he does not speak very good English. His wife or his assistant technician are a bit more fluent but it can still be difficult.
