Needed to bring in my Smart Car for routine service.  Before I got into the office I was greater by name by one of the service people. She was an outstanding example of great customer service (I feel bad that I don't remover her name).  Eric, the service Manager, was also very helpful. Once we went over everything, he realized that with his staffing, it was going to take longer that original anticipated. He offered to put me in a loaner car.

I got a chance to then go into the showroom. Dale, my sales person, happen to be there. It's been 2 years since I purchased, and he too remembered my name. These folks are awesome.

They call later in the day when my car was ready. Everything was done. I'm a very pleased customer.

I came in today and told a salesperson I was interested in getting a Smart Car but wanted to see the information they had on warranties with a car purchase.  The guy helping me, who seemed to be 20 years old and out of it, said "its online".  I asked "is there absolutely *anything* written here I could look at?", and he said "no."  At least two salespeople watched my interaction with the guy and just looked away.  I just stared at the guy, said "thanks" and walked out.  Within a few hours I bought a new car somewhere else (where they were happy to give me warranty information)!   I strongly recommend not wasting your time or money here.

I didn't buy a car from them (the Smart just wasn't my thing - good car though).  Chan was very helpful and honest.  I'll probably buy a C class from him in a couple years.

on a road trip and stopped in for wiper blades. none in stock. wtf?! Portland has a shit ton of rain and they have NO wiper blades for my car?! parts manager should be fired. smart center portland FAIL

Helpful and courteous. They have been servicing my imported Smart 2009 for two years now. They've even replaced the headlight bulbs at no charge.

When my VW Jetta lost power on I-5 my heart sank. After dealing with HORRID mechanics and coughing up thousands of dollars I was not looking forward to finding someone to fix my VW...again.
They were amazing.  I just drove my car onto the lot and they were ready for me.  Andrew, was so nice! I was nervous as a 20 year old female, that I was going to get taken to town; told it was one thing, pay a chunk of change and leave with an un-fixed car.  The mechanic and Andrew totally listened to me and explained to me what the problems could be.  They called me an hour later to tell me my car was ready and it ran like a dream!
When I got to the shop the next day I was OVERJOYED to find my bumper had been fixed! I had popped it off weeks ago and never got it fixed.  They fixed my car and my bumper!? I DIE.
Andrew greeted me outside and walked me to the desk where I just had to swipe my credit card and sign.
So moral of the story?
If you need reliability, friendliness, to be listened to, to be explained as to what is going on, a really fair price, and a surprised when you come to pick up your car and find your bumper is put back on! Then GO RIGHT NOW to Smart Center Portland. It's pretty much amazing.

If Yelp Allowed 10 stars,  this Company would get all 10. This experience was not only easy, it was enjoyable, and I got my SMART Fortwo Cabriolet for 3k UNDER what the Kelly Blue Book Value states!

Not only do I absolutely LOVE my car, Jerry A. made the experience there as easy as buying a new pair of shoes. He made it seem so easy, that it made the decision easy and absolutely PRESSURE FREE!

After 2 horrible weeks of Car Dealership experiences, and trying to be TALKED INTO what car I wanted... I was SHOCKED at the casual-ness of this dealership.

First off, the dealership is very sleek and pretty. It really does make an impression when you first walk in. For me, it reminded me of how I felt when I walked into a Saturn Dealership to buy my last car. Warm, inviting, and NO BULLSHIT.
