Reviews on Silverline Automtive

I don't normally write reviews but it should be criminal to allow this business to be anything above one star. Let me share my experiences with you, mind you all of these stories are about Subaru's so I can only speak on that particular car model, maybe the others are good but based on their business practices I doubt it....

1. I bought an 08 STi there a couple years ago. On my drive back to California, my check engine light popped on. I was in the middle of my road trip home so I got the car home and went into my local Tuning shop, once home. I was told by a Tuner with over 15 years of experience that he couldn't even finish my dyno test because he was nervous due to the car running so dangerously lean. So long story short I was out over $2,000 to get the car running at a normal a/f ratio so that it would not blow up later.

2. I also bought an 06 WRX for my wife when I bought the 08 STi. I took it to the same local tuning shop to get the air box deleted. They attempted to complete this simple job that normally take about an hour and were still not done when the shop closed. When I picked up the car the next day they informed me that they had NEVER seen a car that was that rusted. The person that worked on the car stated that he was certain the car had been fully submerged under water at some point, maybe in Hurricane Katrina.

3. About a week ago I went in to buy another 08 STi since I have since sold my old one, hoping the business had shaped up. During my test ride the check engine light popped. It was all about to happen all over again. I told Alex about my previous buy and he ensured me "they have came a long way since then" but fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

4. My little brother had a friend come to the shop to test drive some Subaru's that he had saved up for. All 10 of the cars that he drove popped CEL's on their test drive.

5. My friend bought an STi the same day I bought my 08. While driving back to Arizona he popped a CEL. Are you seeing a pattern?

I am not sure how Leo or Alex can sleep at night. I guess on the huge wads of money they make. I really was hoping the company had changed for the better, in the new fancy showroom and all but same old business practices. Clear the code long enough to sell it....Sad

It took me a while to get back here, but it was a completely different experience: friendly and accommodating. All the cars were open and clearly labeled. And they were willing to move cars around to let me test drive one that was blocked in.

My friend just purchased a 2006 Subaru WRX. They were very helpful and handed the keys over for the test drive no questions asked and let us take her off the lot asap. They also gave us some cool free stuff. All around great Relexing experience. thanks Leo

Great dealership with a knowledgeable staff. Showroom is Subie heaven! If you are looking for a luxury or sports car this is the place to go. Silverline stands behind their cars, never got the run around when we had post purchase questions. We have purchased several cars from Leo, including a couple Sti's. Will always refer friends and family! Thanks guys!!!

My wife got jerked around from a couple of different dealers, one dealer actually wanted an appointment to see their USED cars. Our family doesn't work that way, we like to get things done quickly. Not only was Silverline fast and professional, but they did not bombard me with a bunch of 'Salesman tactics'. We found the car we wanted, we bought it with no hassles, and Silverline went out of their way to make sure it was to my wife's liking. I will do business with them again. No headaches.

Just bought a 2012 Subaru Forester from these guys. They made it very easy and super low key. Gave us the keys to go look at the cars we were interested in with out them hovering.  We like the no hassle easy to deal with and we were in and out in a couple hours.

I bought my 2010 Subaru WRX sedan from Matt at Silverline back in August of 2010. I flew in from Minnesota to pick up the car and drive it back. I had been speaking to Matt for about a week before I decided to purchase a car from him. My biggest concern was the car I was looking to purchase was an Oregon reconstructed title. Matt explained what this was to me and told me what the previous totalling damage was. For curiousities sake, I requested a car fax, which Matt was able to provide me.

I flew in, Matt picked me up from the airport, and thirty minutes later I was on my way home. Matt is definitely a Subaru guy and knows what he's talking about. Like I said before, I bought my Subaru from Matt in August 2010 and she's running good as ever. I have reccommended Silverline to friends looking for Subarus. They even get in the occasional Toyota or Mitsubishi. Check em out.
