Sami, Lynette, John & Dave ROCK!!!!

This will be our 3rd car purchase from Idrive Autohaus!!!

I was beginning to get a bit uninspired in driving my '07 Avant A6 3.2. Don't get me wrong. The A6 Avant is a great utilitarian vehicle that doesn't compromise luxury appointments, however I needed something else...something different to rejuvenate and inspire me when I get behind the wheel of a car!

Well, it wasn't before too long and by coincidence, while taking a hiatus on the Washington coast this past November, we decided to drive down to Portland and pay Sami a visit. Unbeknownst to us he just received 2 Audi A6 Avants in his inventory only a few days ago!

Call it a stroke of good luck, timing, or coincidence. I took it as a sign that NOW was the the time to make a move and upgrade while we were first in line! The A6 Avant is difficult to find out here on the West Coast. They seem more readily available on the East Coast for some reason.

During the drive down, Ron and I were in deliberations as to why I found it necessary to make a car purchase as I already was driving a great '07 A6 Avant loaded with all the "creature comforts" available for that year and model car. Besides an upgrade would mean higher monthly car payments!

Upon our arrival at Idrive Autohaus, where my final lobbying attempts failed to sway Ron into making a decision,  Sami immediately came to my rescue!

Like a confident, seasoned District Attorney taking the floor of the courtroom, he meticulously laid out in clear and logistical talking points on the benefits of upgrading to a newer model car. After Sami finished his closing statements, Ron sat there with a big smile on his face, speechless and quite convinced that perhaps maybe, it was time to upgrade to a 2010 A6!

I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that our time spent driving down to Portland that afternoon was not in vain! I was exhausted!

By the time Sami had finally convinced Ron to make the car purchase it was  approximately 7:00 p.m. We couldn't start any paperwork because Ron conveniently left his checkbook back in our Washington hotel room! It was a deliberate attempt to avoid a potential car purchase. We had no choice but to leave and come back on the weekend! Lucky me! I got to drive down and now back up to Washington! :(

We drove down to Portland that Saturday morning and arrived at Idrive Autohaus in the early afternoon. The car we were going to buy was in the showroom! It was absolutely gorgeous! A Jet black  A6 Avant  3.0 T Supercharged! Yahhhh Baby!!!

I was taken aback by the "immaculate" condition of the car both inside and out! We only saw photo's of it prior to this visit! Photo's didn't do it justice! Up close and personal is the only way to get to realize the true beauty and "aesthetic" of a German Luxury Brand from Idrive Autohaus!

I'd better cut to the chase as I'm inadvertently writing a novel!
We LOVE Sami & Lynette for their patience, kindness and considerate hospitality whenever we come to car shop in Portland!  

How can you walk away without buying a car from Idrive Autohaus when Sami's inventory consists of nothing less than pristine?

I'll be the first to admit that I'm the Yelp user who, when confronted with a negative experience, jumps on line to write a bad review.  I don't often enough, take the time to write positive reviews unless I've been completely blown away... this is one of those times where I've been completely blown away.  

I spent a great deal of time researching my used car purchase.  I was prepared to drive as far as 3 hours away to get the right car at the right price.  Like many people, I loathe the car buying process mostly due to the song and dance you usually have to deal with at the dealership.  Even the places who advertise "no haggle buying" still make you run the gauntlet of sales pitches for car add-ons like undercoating, car security systems, higher lending rates they tell you qualify for, low-balling your trade-in, ect.

After spotting a perfect car at a really competitive price on line at this place, I stopped in to see it.  To "prepare for battle" at the dealership, I got approved for an auto loan at my Credit Union, and was firmly prepared to tell them I was going to sell my old car on Craigslist.  

Sami (the owner) greeted me and immediately took a mellow, no pressure approach.  He asked me a couple of questions about why this car, and then gave me the keys to go on a test drive.  The car was everything I was looking for, and at a price below what I was willing to spend; no haggling.      

Sami treated the entire process like a business transaction, not a sales transaction.  He is an excellent sales person, but not in a pushy "used car salesman" way.  He simply walks you through the process, trying to make sure you've considered all aspects of buying the new car and selling the old car.  He then offered me a price for my trade-in that was within what I was going to ask for in on Craigslist... no, hassles with getting it detailed, fixing the curb scratches on the wheels :/, no dealing with Craigslist shoppers.    

I could not be more pleased with this entire process.  Even after the sale, when I needed an extra key ordered and some other little things, Sami & his staff were very willing to help... I know it seems suspicious to see every review for this place at 5 stars, but just go there and see why they deserve all the praise they get.  I will be a customer there forever.

My wife and I visited iDrive less than a month ago with no intention of buying a car and it so happened to be my birthday. But after seeing the selection, and talking with Sami the owner, we were quickly convinced otherwise. We weren't convinced by a silver tongue or pushy sales tactics, but by a guy who genuinely wanted us to have a car we loved, and to see us happy through out the purchase process. In the end, we drove off with a stunning A6, and an overall sense that we got a great deal, and got to deal with a great business owner and his attentive staff. I'd recommend Sami and iDrive to anyone looking for a great car. Just ask for Sami, he's great.

This was such a refreshing experience, after finding the new car dealers to live up to their stereotype of being pushy and deceiving. Sami has a smallish selection of low mileage used cars that are beautiful and very high quality! It was a hugely pleasant, and even fun, experience dealing with him and others on his lot. Go check out IDrive if you are in the market for your new vehicle. It's important. Their ease of approach, openness in sales delivery, details answers to questions about their selection at hand places  you in the mood to be open, non defensive, and enjoying the visit. Really. That is true. It happened to me.

Before going to their lot, I did a review of the best car salesman in my area (Portland) and iDrive was one of the top performers. I purchased from IDrive. I am very happy.

Walking onto the lot you see the meticulous selection of high quality vehicles for sale. You know there is a high standard in place. The openness they have to their prospects about their cars is calming. A purchase of a car is a huge decision. They know that and respect that decision making process. Go have fun.

I do not consider myself a 'car guy'. I wanted something comfortable and reliable. I had an idea what I wanted but was not fully versed in what was out there.
This is where Sami came in.
I found his website and he had a selection of cars I found suitable. I walked onto the lot and he spent a couple hours talking to me about options, needs and end use. He offered a number of options at different price points, all delivering what I needed and he let me choose from there.
It was better than painless, it was enjoyable.

Used car shopping is very stressful. I knew iDrive Autohaus specialized in late model used European cars, but I had a limited budget, and was not sure if I could pull it off. I came here for two reasons: these excellent reviews are real, and every car on this lot is immaculate. Then I met the staff. Wow! Such a wonderful group of helpful, kind, and resourceful people. This is a different, more relaxing dealership experience. I purchased the least expensive car in their inventory, but I felt like I was treated like I was buying the most expensive. There is no bias here. They know what they are doing. Sami has equal love for people as he does for cars. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience - purchased a 1995 Volvo 850GLT wagon, price and condition better than anywhere in town...anywhere I've seen! Carfax unbelievably pristine. Nobody believed me when I told them the price. This dealership stands above - professionalism and kindness all the way. Sami and his staff (thank you Lynette!) are straight shooters who make you feel comfortable. I would definitely return here, and I can recommend it as the best used car dealership in Portland. Don't waste your time at any other dealership.

I purchased an Audi S 4 from Sami at I Driver almost a year ago. Sami and Lynette were great to work with and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process of buying a car on my own. After the purchase they had me bring the car back for a thorough detailing and the car looked amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better car buying experience. One thing I dread doing is going to car lots and dealing with car salesman. That definitely was not the case at Idrive. After buying Christmas trees from Sami over the last few years, I figured it was time to step up and buy a car instead.

I know cars pretty well and can be a fanatic.  As such, it can be obnoxious constantly buying cars from people who know little about what they're selling.  Buying from Sami couldn't be a more different experience.  His knowledge and passion for the cars he sells far exceeds that of any other sales experience I've been a part of.

In the end I drove away with an 02 530i and peace of mind an confidence in the choice that I never could have found anywhere else.

Great Car...Great Price...Great Deal!

I actually employed a car wholesaler to help me find the car i was looking for...and he pointed me to Sami at iDrive.  Thankfully for me, Sami's taste in cars mirrors my own and his prices beat even what we were seeing at the auctions.  Furthermore, he got me financing at full percentage point better than the APR I was getting from my own bank.

Car buying can be a very stressful, intimidating, and emotionally draining experience, especially when shopping at a big established dealership. Well, recently I discovered that this need not be the case, that is, if you car shop at iDrive Autohaus! Why you ask? I'll tell you why. It's the personable, friendly and courteous salesmanship of Sami Barbar! He's knowledgeable, patient & most importantly fair! After months and months of internet searching for a vehicle that we liked and was within our price range we discovered iDrive Autohaus! They have an inventory consisting of some of the most hard to find luxury brand models in German engineering available on the westcoast!
I can attest to this because my partner & I are repeat customers! We just recently purchased another A6 Avant wagon because we liked the 1st one so much!!!
Thanks a MILLION Sami for providing us the opportunity to drive our luxury brand within our budget! :) We've had both cars less than a few months & already colleages, friends & neighbors are inquiring about where we purchased our cars. I'm so relieved to have found iDrive Autohaus. For me, car shopping/purchasing was always a hassle and generally unpleasant. At iDrive I was immediately comfortable with the experience. What most struck me is how Sami is totally no-B.S. In a personable way, he levels with you at every step so no one is wasting their time. It's common sense, how I like to do business, and mind-boggling that more places don't operate this way.

Other things of note:

- It's a small, friendly shop - so you don't feel like you're stepping into a Glengarry Glen Ross stable of salespeople;
- the cars on the lot are carefully curated... they clearly don't sell just ANY vehicle;
- the team is very accommodating, while striking a nice balance between professional and casual.

Buying a car can be a huge pain in the ass, going from dealer to dealer dealing with commission hungry vultures you have been trained not to trust your entire life.  Well make it easy on yourself next time and just go see Sami and Lynette at iDrive.
  I had been searching for a car for about ten days nonstop and probably had been to about fifteen or twenty lots and a few private owners. I actually just stumbled by his lot on accident, was just driving by and saw some beautiful cars so figured I'd check them out.  He was actually off the lot while I was there so started talking to Jon the detail guy who does an amazing job also, but left my number for Sami  and went on my way.  Within like thirty minutes he had called me.  Was not the conversation I was expecting to have with a "car salesman", he never tried to sell me any of his cars just told me what to look for and what to look out for, ended up talking to him for a while and actually learned a ton from him, the man knows his shit. So the next day after dealing with one more "slick rick" salesman I just went back down to Sami's lot.  Every car on his lot is pristine, like i said I had been all over the state over the last two weeks and hadn't found a lot like this anywhere.  This man only buys and sells the best, and trust me I am not an easy sale, I do my research.  Once I test drove a couple of his cars there is no way I could go anywhere else.
    He is not much of a negotiator and trust me I tried, but in his defense he doesn't need to be.  You are getting an amazing car for a great fair price.  I mean you could go somewhere else and haggle over price and maybe get a few thousand off sticker for a car that you will regret buying later from a guy that was trying to rip you off from the beginning anyway.  Just do yourself a favor go see Sami and his awesome receptionist/problem solver Lynette, pick out the car of your dreams and just sign the damn papers. Trust me you wont find a better deal and you'll get the car you actually will love. They have my business and referrals hands down.
