Established in 1990.

The President of our company, Eric Freeman, bought his first car, a Rambler American, at the Age of 16.  He borrowed some money from his dad, fixed that car up and sold it. That was the beginning of his love for fixing and selling cars.

Eric worked out of his parent's home until 1998 when he leased a small space in a Salem gas station parking lot. He quickly outgrew that lot. As a result, he moved into downtown Portland where he leased a space off Macadam Avenue. A few years later, he opened another showroom on Macadam.

Seeing that he was outgrowing these two spaces, Eric decided to consolidate the business into one large showroom. So in 2006, he purchased and remolded the building located at 7524 SW Macadam Ave, Portland, OR 97219. We are now able to house well over 100 cars all inside!

i recently purchased a 2011 BMW from Freeman. Jason Copeland was kind enough to let me take a couple of other cars out for a spin a couple of months prior to this. he was very knowledgeable and helpful, as was the rest of thee staff.  I would definitely recommend Freeman. very nice low pressure approach.

We have had the worst experience with this place. The service department charges twice the costs as taking vehicle to dealership. We bought a car for 28k from them and paid for $4500 warranty. In six months we have spent thousands in repairs not covered by warranty. We attempted to trade vehicle back in with them and they will only give us 16k while other dealerships have offered us a significant amount more. Go here if you want to be scammed!

Wow!!  Jason and Shelly were amazing!  I've always told my friend that if a dealership can get me out in less than half a day they have my business for life!  Well they got me out in even lesser time!  WOW!!!

I found them online and was wary about going in so I called to make an appointment first to test drive the one I want.  Got in and at first I was mad because no one came out and greeted me but then I quickly realized that I hate it when car salesman follow me around and never give me my space!  I told Shelly over the phone that I'm on a time crunch and when I got there earlier she was still with a customer so Jason took care of me.

Didn't go in to trade in my car but they gave me enough to cover and make the deal happen!  This people are so reasonable!  I left after test driving it and they weren't pushy at all.  The next day I went in and the transaction was painless!  I will most definitely come back and do business here again!

The owner Eric thanked me and family personally after buying the car.  That was a great personal touch I never get from other dealerships!  This place got it all figured out!

WooHoo!  I just bought my first BMW and this company rocks! No hassels, no pressure, and I was helped by a great man, Jason Copeland and after the experience, I have been smiling since.

I can see why they have kept Jason happy for the last 6 years, because he really does make buying a car a fun experience.  He is so knowledgable, friendly, and on top of things...I am glad I got him!  He is just a regular nice man that happens to love what he does, and it shows.  He does go the extra mile.

The 2012 328i M-Spot Convertible I bought is just gorgeous the phrase "like new" really does apply.  I have been looking for almost a year and have looked at over 20 BMW convertibles, and this was definitely the best...IMHO.

Everyone I met at Freeman Motors were just so pleasent and professional, I had to stop myself from window shopping on the floor because that Porche Boxter was calling me too, but I made a great choice on the BMW...with Jason's help.

If you want to have fun buying a quality foreign car, you have to go there!  I have bought many cars over the years, and until this I thought my experience buying my new Nissan 350Z was fun...but this experience tops that in SPADES.

5 Star Inventory and 5 Star staff!  Our second purchase from Freeman, and (thanks again Jason!) what a fantastic experience.  They had the best line of high quality, low mile, and reasonably priced luxe European cars anywhere. Then, add in no-hassle test drives,helpful and knowledgable staff, the best detail shop period, and quick and helpful financing options, rates and products. This was the second time I've taken my car to Freeman's, and each experience has been very positive. I love my old motor shop, esp. since the guys there are so friendly and it's only 6 blocks from my house, but they weren't cutting it. I've had way better, consistence, knowledgable service here at Freeman's.

Also, JOHN is kind of the best ever when it comes to knowledge and true, friendly service. Plus he put my bike away in the building when I forgot it there, and gave me a cookie when I picked my car up. :)

Car buying at dealerships is not usually something I look forward to. We had been looking for a while and saw a pretty good deal pop up at Freeman so went down after work getting there a little after they close. We had called ahead that we were running late and they stayed to show us the car and do a test drive all after hours. The whole experience was really pretty easy as we discussed price, etc. and got a deal worked out. Next day, I got picked up from work (downtown Portland) to pick it up and drive it home!

Nathan was our salesperson and he was great. Showroom is very nice as well.

Honestly, the only minor inconvenience was the car not having a key fob with it so we'll have to order one (for $400+ I'm sure). Sounds like they never even received it from the former owner so not really on them. Overall, I would recommend the place if they've got anything you are looking for!

Had a great experience buying my Bmw at Freeman motors. Got the car I was looking for at the price I wanted. The whole process was quick and painless. Found the car, told them what I could afford and they made it happen. No need to play the price negotiation game. No up-sales no pressure. The sales team were all friendly, genuine and straightforward. I later took the car to the Freeman service department. They went above and beyond the customer service experience. They picked up my car from my work, performed the service and returned the car to my work before the end of my day so it was there when I was ready to go home. How perfect and painless is that?! Great products with honest, first rate customer service! That is a great combo that has earned my business.

I took my new-to-me Volvo C30 in for detailing, and I couldn't be happier with the results! It was an all-day process, but the end result was totally worth it.

I bought the 2011 model used a couple of weeks ago. I'd gotten a couple of mechanical things fixed, and the last step was to get the car detailed. Then it would really feel like the car and I were starting out with a clean slate.

Freeman Motors' Service Center did an excellent job!  They buffed out some rough surface spots. They steam cleaned the fast-food stains outta the seats. They did a great job of covering some deeper scratches around the hatchback/trunk area. And they totally got all the road grime and brake dust off the wheels.

The whole process took about three hours for the inside, and another three hours for the outside. But I left with a car that could almost have passed for a showroom model. I couldn't be happier with the results!

If you decide to give them a try, ask for John Ronck. He walked around the car with me, taking notes on the things I was worried about, and he spotted things that I hadn't caught. He's got a very good eye. He also translated all those notes into instructions for the detailers. They hit every area we had noted. John led me around the finished product, showing me the car overall AND the areas we had noted before. He was able to tell me everything they'd done and show me the improvements. It's really like having a new car again.

I give Freeman Motors' Service Center my highest recommendation for their detailing services. They rock!

Im actually writing this to review our salesperson.  Shelly.   She is new to sales but I think that's a plus in our case since we hate negotiating.  She  was extremely helpful and easy going.  She made our experience much more pleasant than what we had been experiencing at other dealerships and other sales people.
For the dealership over all, low pressure environment.  Friendly staff.
Nice showroom.  It's also convenient that they work by appointment.

Drove all the way down from Seattle- was worth the drive. Immaculate facility with a large collection of quality European cars in fantastic shape.

Worked with Nathan and negotiated a fair deal on the vehicle, quick cash transaction and out the door. Nathan followed up on details after the sale and made sure I was 100% happy with the car.

These guys are serious about customer service and go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your purchase.

Wow, I have enjoyed 11 cars so far in my short life and this was by FAR the nicest buying experience I have ever had.  I had been looking for a few months at BMW's, Cadillac's, and a few other high end cars.  My husband spotted a 2013 Mercedes E350 with less than 7K miles, and every option available.  

I called Brandon on a Wednesday and made an appointment to see the car on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., we were a bit late, but when we arrived our gorgeous car was clean and waiting INSIDE for our inspection.  We went for a test drive in which he explained every bell and whistle.

We knew we wanted it before we ever got there, so we negotiated a deal I was happy with and they were able to get me out of my Mazda 3 lease with very little pain.  While we were doing the financial paperwork they brought the car around to the front entrance and detailed it one more time.  We got the keys and off we went.

We were thrilled with Brandon's service and helpful attitude and the efficiency of the whole process.

It was a total bonus to have all the cars inside on a rainy day.  They specialize in high end imports, so we were able to drool over a few Jags, Range Rovers, Porsche's and other cars way out of our reach.

I am pretty sure I will be seeing these folks again!

Look hand selected. Fair pricing on all the cars in comparison to other pre owned shops. Store is very cool in design and easy to look at the cars. I really liked walking in and not being attacked by sharks. Very low key sales people that allow you to browse.

I don't normally write a review regarding a company.  I feel strongly, about Freeman Mortors.  In a day and age where you feel as if you need to have your guard up constintantly, Marshall was pleasent to deal with from beginning to end.  I am sorry I can't remember my sales persons name, he was terrific as well.

That's only the start of the story.  A week or so after I had bought my RR, it would not start, my garage is tiny and couldn't raise the hood to put a charge on what seemed to be a dead battery.  There was no way to roll the car back, so I called Freeman, shared my sitiuation.  There was a farily complicated way to take the car out of park, I was not about to tackle it.  Jason, another sales person, jumped in his car, drove up to my home, did the trick, moved my car back, also brought along a jump box, my car started right up.  Wow - what service, what a kind young man.  I offered him some cash for the amazing courtesy, he flattly refused!  Told me he loved working for Eric Freeman, which I had heard over and over again, which says much about Eric.

Jason suggested I follow him back to their shop, to see what was wrong with the RR - they checked the battery charge:  112% - Hmmm they put the RR on the computer to see if there were any errors coming up?  Nothing - they asked me a series of question to figure out what went wrong.  We came up with perhaps it was just "ME" perhaps I didn't get the RR all the way into "PARK" so it appeared everything was dead?  Learning the in's and out's of a new car, can take a bit.  I was pretty sure I had, but who knows, it happened.

They brought my RR back out, clean bill of health.  I asked them what I owed them, they said they were happy to do it, NO charge!  Eric and his team earned my business to start, now they've earned my trust, loyalty and referrals!

What a refreshing experience - do your self a favor, check them out!  They are fun, kind, humble team, I think you'll enjoy your buying experience too!

I was a bit skeptical about this place at first.  The indoor facility and location screamed too expensive for me to buy a car from.  However, they had exactly what I was looking for so I decided to check the place out.  I'm very glad I did!  
First off the indoor showroom is soooo nice! I was car shopping with a newborn and it was great to be in a climate controlled environment.  No worrying about rain or sun, I got to take my time looking around.  I didn't get pressured or hassled by the salesmen.  All the vehicles were open so I was able to look at the different features without having somebody follow me around.  When I did ask questions about the cars the staff was friendly, helpful and kind.  
There is a really cool collection of vintage cars.  It was a neat place to look around while my paperwork was being processed.  The waiting area was very nice and comfortable with a tv.  I felt more like I was at home hanging out rather than buying a car.
When I did find a car I liked I was able to get it at an amazing price.  I had been shopping around for a while and got a great car in great condition for a lot less than I had seen elsewhere.  I honestly have no idea why you would buy a car anywhere else.
Don't waste your time at other places with sleezy salesmen trying to sell you crap.  I will defiantly go back here to buy another car in the future and highly recommend it to my friends and family.

It's been several months, but I have meant to write a review for Freeman for some time. My review, however, is not for the purchase of a car, but rather the sale of my Jaguar to Freeman. I owned a very nice 2004 Jaguar XJR that I had to part ways with. I did some research of "high end" dealerships in the PDX area, and came up with 2. Freeman paid me close to $1,000 more than "the other guy". The experience was direct and on point, with little to no hassle. I spoke directly to Eric and he agreed to buy my car for what I considered to be a very fair price. I later saw my car listed for sale and was pleasantly surprised to see that the list price was not significantly higher than what I sold the car for. I will return to Freeman the next time I'm ready to get back into a luxury car.

What a fantastic place - so glad we bought our car here and not anywhere else! They let us test drive all three of the cars we had selected as a final lineup and they suggested a great route for us to go on.  Terry was incredibly helpful and stayed until the very end to get our deal sorted even after all of the other staff had left for the evening and Michelle was incredible! Eric the owner is incredibly friendly - in fact it took me until the day after we had bought the car to realize that he was...just goes to show what a friendly, non-uppity place this is. We love our car and will definitely be back at Freeman in the future.

Wandered into Freeman looking for something very specific I'd seen pop up online earlier in the week.

I paid asking price because these guys earned it. Yeah seriously.

1st impression - I called Jason Copeland to ask about the vehicle. We had a real conversation guy to guy about the car, no sales pressure at all.

#2 - walked into the building and immediately found my car sitting right up front, it's paint gleaming. As I took my time opening everything and inspecting every little piece a service assistance came upto me with the keys and says 'Here, you have to be able to start it and really look at it' - That little courtesy was huge.

#3 - Jason and Dave were very helpful in getting my docs done. I financed a portion and it was easy, took only minutes.

#4 - Every car they sell has a 30 day / 1000 mile mechanical warranty - WOW. I had a few small issues (it's a slightly hard to find 11 year old car afterall) which they handled without question, even going out of their way to resolve some others. Everytime I expressed concern (and I do that well) they each responded "There is a reason people buy cars from Freeman" = Truth.

The service department is a seperate building but carries the same Corporate Culture as the sales department "There is a reason people buy cars from Freeman". Nathan the Service Manager lives upto the expectations set by the others.

Eric Freeman I compliment you on building a great business with a team that lives and breathes your culture.

If you want a 'New Car' experience buying a used luxury or european vehicle then buy from Freeman. LOL afterall there clearly is a reason people buy from Freeman.

i have been perusing cars at freeman for years and have bought 3 cars from them over time....  i have to say they do an amazing job....  the cars are spotless and like new,  the facilities are great,  the people friendly and not pushy in any way at all,  they encourage mobile inspections and freely disclose any known issues.  my father and grandfather were car dealers and i guess i have a bit of motor oil in my blood....   eric freeman and crew deserve to be specially recognized for consistency, quality, honesty and friendliness....  a top notch and extremely reputable firm.  buy without hesitation.

What I love about this place is the abundance of foreign cars.  They are priced very high, along with the mileage, but what they do best is deal the car to look immaculate and detailed. You really feel every car is a bang for it's buck, even though it's not.

I do enjoying seeing a lot of options under one roof. I worked with Jason throughout my search, even though I didn't buy from the, I really enjoyed the service.

I traded in two cars for two new cars at the beginning of 2011. My experience was the best auto buying situation I have ever encountered in my 36 years of buying vehicles. Eric Freeman and his staff were professional, efficient, honest, and they had excellent upscale inventory. I would highly recommend Freeman Motor Company. I was initially drawn to Freeman because it is indoor, and while being a native has made me accustomed to the rain, it is nice to be in doors sometimes.  However, the first time I walked on to the showroom floor I knew what I was there to test drive and nobody was around to help me; what a change right?  So I left a little pissed and tried to look else where.  After a few poor attempts at crack pot, shady used car dealers I returned to Freeman; and I am glad I did.  The sales team is not push, they let you test drive the car with out accompanying you so you can get the feel of the car on your own.  The sales team, specifically Bill, is knowledgeable and honest.  The reason they are so busy is because they build their reputation on good honest sales practices.  This will not be my last purchase at Freeman.  

P.S. The Service department is run by an amazing group of people who know what they are doing and most importantly care about the quality of the work they are doing without charging exorbitant rates!!!  Nice work gentlemen, nice work!!

Totally disagree with blythe  b.  I just purchased a Porsche 911, beautiful car but with 59,000 miles on it. They found a hardtop for it, had it painted for me. Didn't ignore me but didn't pressure me either.  They asked me if I wanted to test drive the car without me having to ask.  And they didn't go with me on the drive, which was perfect to really test it out.  They never misrepresented the car.  The reason I bought it was their 30 day drive train warranty and the price which was very good (I've been looking for weeks including bidding on E Bay).  

Totally different opinion however from the Vette place on about Ninety something & Stark. I went in that place 3 times and never once was given the time of day, let alone asked to test drive. Too bad for them, cause I was seriously ready to buy a Z01. In the end I'm glad they ignored me, cause now that I bought my 911 I would 't even consider a Z01. Next time I'm ready to buy, I will definitely be back at Freeman.

Wow, I can't believe there are no reviews here yet for these guys.  I have to speak from two degrees of separation since I wasn't buying, but came in with a friend who was.  We first looked at a Mercedes G500 SUV but when my buddy realized it wasn't right for him, we were given the chance to drive a Porsche Cayenne SUV instead.  He was sold, brought his car in the next day for a trade, their value of his car was right on mark, their asking price was market accurate and the final price didn't include any common dealer BS you'd expect anywhere else.  The price difference between the two cars ws what he paid and the car has been super since.

I've been considering trading my c230 for a CLK at some point and now always check their inventory because I'd prefer to deal with them when the right car comes along.

The best part is there was ABSOLUTELY no pressure here, I mean none.  You can browse, test drive and question them endlessly about any car and all with a smile.  These folks are patient because they know buying a car is a big deal and an exciting experience.  I've left most dealerships with a tinge of anger or frustration, but not here.  Don't be afraid to stop in just to check out a car that may have interested you, you won't be made to feel like you have to buy right then and there.

I wish I could give them 6-stars!
