Great people, great service. As soon as I stepped on the lot there was no pressure to go upstairs and see what I was approved for, like all the other lots.. It was easy to find the right car for me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Bought my last two used cars from this dealer, a 2000 CRV then a 2007 RAV4.  Family owned and the type of business where a handshake seals the deal.  I came in both times with a specified budget but also specific needs since I have 2 kids still in boosters. Economical and dependable was critical in my decision. Wasn't sure what kind of car I wanted. They made great suggestions and I really believe helped me buy the best value.  Financing was a piece of cake with no early pay off penalties.  Very highly recommend these guys.

I hadn't owned a car in about ten years and had never purchased a used car on my own before I found myself browsing the Chuck Wise online inventory. There I found exactly the used Toyota truck I was looking for, and the condition of all I had looked at online were accurately reflected on the lot.

If you are in the market for an older Toyota truck, they have the largest selection in the Portland & Columbia Gorge area, without question, all reasonably priced. If you are looking for a 1st gen Toyota truck, then you should know all too well that these are highly coveted vehicles, regardless of age or condition. When taken care of, they will last you a lifetime and they hold their resale value well. Fifteen+ year old vehicles will have plenty of cosmetic blemishes; this is reality. Based on the extensive research I did before purchasing my used Tacoma, I believe strongly that the pricing at Chuck Wise, for the condition of the vehicles they are selling, is MORE than fair. If you want something cheaper, buy from a private seller and cross your fingers that it's not a mechanical lemon.

The salespeople were friendly and no frills, which I appreciate! No hassling, no pushing, and straight answers to my questions. They were kind enough to stay open a little late for us on multiple occasions to accommodate our schedule, which was a blessing. Chuck Wise and his son Matt were a pleasure to work with, and were completely reasonable on negotiating a price for the truck I wanted. As a woman, they treated me with equality and respect (which is rare when treading in the world of automobiles).

I will definitely recommend them many times over. Thanks for everything, Matt!

One of the more honest and low pressure dealers, I think, but with some odd business practices, completely absurd claims in their ads, and ridiculous pricing.

I made a few phone calls about the car I was interested in, and had a few pleasant, respectful, straightforward, no-pressure conversations.  Their policy about not letting me take the car to my mechanic was weird (they'd let me call a mobile inspector, or take it to a mechanic within a mile of the dealership, but not to Tigard to *my* mechanic).  They cited insurance problems, which makes no sense (my insurance would cover the car while I was driving it), but I think this was just a quirk and not an attempt to conceal anything.

The car, however ... Sheesh.  It was advertised as "CLEAN!!!!!" and "no problems" priced about 10% ABOVE Kelly Blue Book's "EXCELLENT" and wasn't even in fair condition.  It had bald tires, for Pete's sake!  Bald!  As in, not legal or safe to test drive!  The outside several inches were smooth as a baby's bottom.  There were a number of dents, one about 4" (big enough to show in the photos), plus big scratches.  The dipstick had clumpy white crud on it, the other fluids weren't pretty either.  A bunch of the electrical didn't work (power windows, etc.), some switches came right off in my hands, and some badly done modifications had scarred up the dash with razor knife tracks.  When I started the car or opened or closed a door, the panel that houses the light switches, above the rear view mirror, fell out and smacked me in the head!  Every time, without fail (and it never happened to them? Ha!).  It was listed as "new suspension" and the records in the glove box indicated a few minor parts had been replaced but nothing qualifying as fully new suspension.  The interior also smelled of smoke, not a lot but some.

Matt was nice, no pressure, admitted he knew nothing of Volvos, and didn't argue with me, but all I've done is watch a couple of YouTube videos and drive some similar models and this car was SCREAMING that it had major issues.  Ones you don't need to be a Volvo expert, to see.

I got the feeling that they weren't hiding anything, but on the other hand, this car is still listed as "CLEAN" and "no problems"  so ... ??
