Reviews on 82nd Auto Mall McLaughlin

The first commercial with oooooh was goofy and fun. If the Blazers were brave enough to make it, good for them & their great sense of humor. Now the chopped up version with half song, half words loses the whole point. Silly commercials are just that, not Emmy award efforts.

Your dopey commercial has made me commit to buying a bike rather than a car.

Previous review was removed. Soooo, I decided to stop in and see how they conduct business. Did I check out a car? I did actually. A real nice truck. But my overall experience with this business will never bring me back again. What brought me in? Their awful commercials. The first "jingle" was terrible. And then they decided to throw in two idiotic Portland athletes to add insult to injury and had them sing off tune. As if this was going to bring in addition business? Haha. I suppose it DID bring me in, but purely out of curiosity. What business would subject their customers to such a terrible commercial? I arrived earlier this week and approached the counter where I was met by a somewhat nice receptionist. I told her what I was looking for and was told a salesman would be with me shortly. As I waited, I joked with her about the commercials to which she replied "oh god, people are such complainers." accompanied by an eye roll and small smirk. I joking replied to her that it was not the most pleasant commercial to listen to and that I reached for the remote every time it came on. To which she replied, "we removed the music for you people with nature music so I hope you like that instead!" I said I didn't. Not off to a great start.

I met with a salesman who caught part of the end of that convo with the receptionist and also seemed to think that everyone who "whined" about the song was a sad party pooper (my words, not his). We went out, checked out a truck and went for a short test drive. I loved the truck, I did not like the sales approach though. Am I in the market for a new truck? I am. And I am actively hunting for one. And so I thought what better place to start this search then a business that thought it would be amusing to ear hump their potential customers. I am surprised they dont have the song playing in every car you test drive a vehicle. I mean, why not?

We returned about 15 min later. He gave me a business card and I left.

My kids love the song and we miss it! Bring it back!!! Sure it was silly but that was the fun in it. People take themselves too serious. I for one loved getting that song stuck in my head for the day. Mcghlaughlin ooo ooo oooo mcghlaughlin ooo ooo oooo mcglaughlin auto mall.

Thank GOODNESS they listened to the overwhelming feedback from the public and have edited the commercials!  I think I pulled a muscle diving for the mute button on the remote before the edits.

The feedback about the commercials may not be relevant to the way they do business but by posting these reviews it caught their attention and caused a change.

Again, thank goodness!!!

I hate that repetitive commercial with the singing LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez. I must have seen that stupid commercial 5 or 6 times within 30 minutes on just one channel, it sucks and is very annoying and now makes me change that channel. I'd fire the advertising agency that created that garbage...no imagination. Just sayin'.
