Reviews on Bob Howard Auto Mall

Looong story short. Awww I know you wanted to spend at least 30 minutes reading my story. Well sorry im in a hurry this morning to bathe my Chihuahua. Shes gonna smell like oatmeal cookies when im done with her (smile). In any case Bob Howard and I mean the man himself will have my business always.
Bought a Jeep. Turned in an Escape ewwww i know. 5 Months later they still did not have me financed. My credit, impeccable their finance dept not so good. Banks are not lending they said. We will get you hooked up they said, no worries they said. So, i didnt worry toooo much. But after 5 months and no payments due yet which was nice but come on. I had finally had enough, paranoia kicked in and i called my brother in law who owns a dealership in L.A. and asked him what he would do. He said call Bob. I said ummmm but he owns the place. My brother in law says yep...I says ok I will call Bob.
I called and asked if i could speak to Mr Bob Howard  they said "sure" one moment please. Wow. I dont know why I thought he was not reachable like a head of state or any one in charge of a Walmart.
Bob gets on the phone and I tell him whats been going on. He was very nice. He said he would call me right back. He did 2 minutes later. He said your Jeep is financed and he was sorry for the inconvenience. He said someone, at my convenience, will be over to my house first thing in the morning to sign all the paperwork and thats just what happened.
Aftermath. I was told by the gentleman that came to my house that Mr Howard  had fired everyone in the finance dept that very day and that is why he could not answer some of my questions as he was brand new. But I could call Bob on anything I had a question on. Apparently i was one of many people they were having trouble financing and no one told the boss about it so he whacked the whole dept. I dont know if that is true or not. I seriously didnt want anyone to get fired. I realize its not my fault but anyway.
Bob Howard  also payed my tax title and license. I also was financed at 12K under what I was supposed to be because the bank could not finance the Jeep as new. It was used now so i saved a bunch. I was also upside down on the Escape(ewwww) and they paid that off as well. They also sent me 40 free oil change coupons.
I realize all car dealers have good and bad points. Its what they do when something does go wrong that counts. Mr Howard  cares. He is accessible and they make it right when they mess up. I dont agree with firing people but im not the boss he is.
They, actually He has my business for life. HEY that wound up long oooh well. Cheers OKC have great weekend!

My car salesman was great. If you go, try to work with Dwight. He was honest about the conditions of the car, and seemed to really care. The title took a long time to get released in my case too. My main issue is that I was told if I referred someone to them, and they purchased a car I would get a one hundred dollar 'bird dog'. I purchased my car, and so did my referred friend in September of 2010.  I have called several times, and went in and filled out the 'necessary paperwork' and they keep claiming a check will be mailed out. It has been seven months, and no check despite several calls. It seems they are all ears when taking your money, and not so much when following through on promises. Typical car dealership I suppose.

So first i want to say this review is just aimed at the purchase of my Jeep. - I purchased a Limited 2007 Jeep Compass at this location a year ago. When we first pulled up they are ready and waiting to attack like most lots. I had already looked on the site for a car i was interested in but someone else was test driving it. Though knowing what my price range was the guy helping me wanted to show me a car that had been trading in that day (of course!). This Jeep had been owned by an older women that had only driving it to and from oil changes it had right below 2,000 miles on it. Had only been kept in a garage as well. I decided on it almost immediately except it was high. But they did come down and even when it came to the extended warranty they worked a way into making it just a little over what i was first wanting. Within a couple hours of arriving i left with my new jeep and lots of smiles. My next vehicle will be purchased here as well. -1 star because the title took almost 2 months to get released!
