This is the second time that I have been to Ricart and reluctantly so. The first time around they tried to sleaze me in to one of their "financing deals". Thankfully I had done my homework to realize that the interest rate was so high and I could afford a new car with 0.0% financing (which is standard nowadays) instead! When I asked for details on the interest they told me that I would have to talk to the finance manager and he was not available. At that point.....I walked out.

This time around the only reason I went back is because they had the lowest prices on two of the models that I was considering. They actually did pretty good on the financing and actually revealed the details to me on request but here's the thing - during the negotiation the sales guy told me that if I found a car with lower value than the one he was offering in a 100 mile radius he would match the value on his offer to make the sale. They actually advertise this as their "best value guarantee". Sure enough I found a vehicle with 10,000 less miles and $600 lower with the exact same trim level to which the guy first tried to tell me that it's not the same "value" because of reasons a,b and c....no matter how you cut it 10,000 less miles and $600 difference in price is a huge gap. He challenged me to walk out since the place was 90 miles away from where I was. Best decision I made because I got the car delivered to my house for test drive / inspection and got a better deal overall.

Bottom -line-If you haven't done your homework they will push you in to something you aren't really sure of. So go prepared - do your numbers, take your print outs and be cautious.

Lastly, I have purchased/leased 5 cars in the last 10 years and the experience at this place is definitely not the benchmark of how you should feel while purchasing a vehicle for yourself.

In the market for a new used truck. I was on my bike, but was still ready to make a deal...had my check book with me.

I had some bad dealings with Ricart about 15 years ago, but figured they would have the largest selection.

Today, around 1pm, I got there and pulled my bike up and out of the way on their large apron where they display other cars. Before I barely got off the bike, some younger, heavier guy in a white shirt comes out says "Do you think you can park your bike in the parking lot like the other customers?" To which I tell him I don't like parking it in a lot, as it is a low bike, and don't want it hit, dinged, or even knocked over (this IS actually a common way parked motorcycles are damaged...sometime even on purpose because car/truck drivers can get angry at a bike taking up a whole spot).

He says "Well maybe in the side lot then." pointing in that direction, which made no sense pertaining to what I just told him...EXACT same concerns. So he just stood there as I pulled my gloves back on and said "Im good." to which he replied "Thank you."

I got on my bike, and left.

Now Im not looking for any special treatment, but Ive see bikes parked in front of stores/restaurants ALL the time. Some even offer preferred bike parking as well, and like I said above, it frees up a full size parking spot. And again...it was COMPLETELY out of the way...it wasn't hurting or blocking anything...this tool just wanted to throw his weight around by acting like a dick.

So I will be happy buy my truck elsewhere.

Horrible crooks! They offer you half of what your trade is worth, I got two cars appraised there and they offered me half of both! I took them to another dealer and was offered the actual trade value. These people are crooks and their sales people are like sharks! You can't even get out of your car without feeling like fresh bait  I would stay clear
