My passion for Yelp is high, despite my laziness in terms of finding time to put pen to paper, or fingers to keys in this case, and crank out the occasional review here and there.  That passion would be even higher if this became a review site which included products as well as businesses.  To wit: I've grown fond of Hyundai ever since they picked themselves up out of that putrid gutter from the 1980s and finally got serious about producing cars of measurable quality.  I rented an Elantra in the 90s and realized they were beginning to turn it around, and since 2008 I've been a brand-loyal customer.  So I'm secretly subverting the whole Yelp system in order to beam about my brand new Accent which I purchased two weeks ago, but I'd be lying if I said Dennis Hyundai of Dublin didn't play a part.  So you see, this review really is legit.

Dennis Hyundai serviced my 2008 Accent regularly since I moved back to Columbus in 2010, and I just have to grin when people grimace at the prospect of taking their car to the dealer for service.  Almost as if they had just received a jury duty summons, or if a passing dump truck had splashed their new pants with mud.   Somehow, the old wives tale about how dealerships overcharge for everything and invent new problems to keep the bill running up to the heavens persists.  For what it's worth, I've never experienced this at any dealer, let alone at Dennis.  Their service team is friendly but also no-nonsense; they get right to the point and get things done.  Dennis' facilities are spacious and clean and, dare I say, comfortable.  They have another location at Easton in case Dublin doesn't scream convenience to you, but perfect for a northwest end guy like myself.

Not to take anything away from the sales staff, however.  As expected, when I last took my car in for a recall service, a salesperson sauntered up to me and proceded to make chitchat.  Never wanting to fault someone for trying to put food on the table, I smiled and nodded politely, but seeing as my car had a scant 32,000 miles on it, what possible reason could I be in the market for a new car?  So I continued to smile and nod politely.  Ahh yes, being in a position of leverage, it's a nice place to be.  My salesperson was persistent, but he knew his craft because he sensed just how far he could go with me without making a nuisance of himself.  He also knew that I wasn't about to budge unless he made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so that's exactly what he did, and not in the style of Don Corleone.  Actually, this guy was the spitting image of an early 30s Jon Stewart.  During my test drive, he said he listened to Fox News, so then I knew for sure it wasn't him.  His real name is Jordan; he had just moved from Florida and didn't have a card yet, but look for him.  He's good people, and just the kind of guy you want selling you a car.  Nobody actually enjoys buying a new car unless they have LeBron-like money, but if you want the process to be as painless as possible, Jordan's your guy.

At the end of the day, long after Jordan's Daily Show face fades from my memory, it's all about the car.  I plan to keep loving Hyundais in the future, and they've thrived despite playing the role of the downtrodden redheaded Korean stepchild of Honda and Toyota.  Two thumbs up.

No complaints here. I did my research on the internet first and then just walked on the lot to look at the car I was interested in.  So super easy and they have the friendliest employees there!  This is the place I recommend to everyone looking for either a used or new vehicle. Out of all the dealerships out there I have to say this one is the absolute best. They work for you to get your car and provide excellent service beginning and along the way.

Just purchased a used, certified pre-owned Elantra from them on Saturday, and have been very happy with their customer service thus far. They were more than willing to work out a deal (after a couple of visits) and once I decided to buy, spent a very extended amount of time going through all of the details and papers needed. Not once seeming impatient!

Since that day, I've had minor questions and situations regarding my lender and the finance team has been absolutely wonderful to work with. (JB and Nick) have been very open and understanding when addressing my concerns, and I couldn't be more thankful. This is my first car purchase on my own, and I have felt so comfortable with Dennis Hyundai of Dublin's service. After much research and many horror stories of car buying, I was pleasantly surprised to have had such a great experience here.

I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for great customer service. Hoping and not doubting that I will continue to feel the same in the coming months.

I belive the service department to be deceitful.  In my opinion, they try to sell you services that you do not need and do not complete the work that they said they did.  I will never visit this dealership again.

Last year, my husband and I traded in our Hyundai Sonata and our Hyundai Elantra for two new Hyundai Elantra GTs. The purchase itself took a considerable amount of time as we were constantly back and forth negotiating. Our previous cars were purchased form the same dealership, so we had expected to get a good price from the start this time rather than days later. I wish I had just walked away, but I really liked the look of the Elantra GT so I still pursued it.

Aside from a tedious negotiation process, we also feel we were duped by false MPG claims into purchasing the cars in the first place. We drive many miles per day, and were told we would see significant savings due to the more fuel efficient Elantra GT over the Sonata that we had previously. With highway driving every day, we have never been able to do any better than 28 MPG. It's unfortunate as my husband liked his Sonata, and traded it for a smaller car he likes less that performs worse and doesn't get the mileage advertised.

Even though we have purchased a total of 5 Hyundais in our household over the past few years (we even had a used Elantra for our son, in addition to the Hyundais that we purchased ourselves), when we are ready to purchase or lease a car again, we will steer clear of Dennis Hyundai.

The service department is amazing, especially Todd. I've been there three times for some minor problems with my car, and they are polite, on time, honest, and have always gone the extra mile to give incredible service.
I have been very happy with my Hyundai Tucson and when I'm ready to buy another one, I'll go to Dennis of Dublin to buy it just because the service department is so good.

Purchased a used Ford Edge from them just before Christmas.   Everyone was extremely nice, no slimy sales techniques here.  They kept their word on every part of the transaction and made us a good deal.  I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

Bought a used 09  Sonata and part of the contract was to fix a broken radio button. The service department weaseled out of it because they didn't want to install a replacement radio.

Worst dealer I have ever experiencd..
Don't ever buy any car from this dealer.
Sales and financial departments are just horrible.
Even the general manager doesn't follow through..
Just horrible, but love the car,  Hyundai sante fe!!

This was the first time I've purchased a car, so I'm not exactly an expert on what is a good deal. All I know is that I enjoyed the experience more than the other dealerships I visited and I ended up buying a Hyundai Elantra from Dennis Hyundai of Dublin. So I guess that says something. My salesperson was named Ty/Tyrone and he was super personable and enthusiastic about the cars. He took me out to a parking lot to demonstrate all the safety features, had me test drive the car at a variety of speeds, and explained everything so I could understand it without making me feel dumb. He is a good salesman, though, so I may have overpaid. Negotiating the price took forever and I wasn't able to get the price as low as I had hoped (probably more my fault than his...). I haven't had my car serviced yet so I can't speak to the service department but everyone I encountered in the sales department was personable and willing to help. I love my new car!

Well , folks this is the second time I've taken my '06 Sonata to Dennis Hyundai in Dublin.  First time, was because my car didn't start when I was at the Scottrade office on Sawmill Rd.  Talk about service?  The service advisor, Nate Bickel, drove over to me within 10 minutes of my calling him with my problem. Got my car started immediately and I followed him to the shop.  Here I was expecting a tow charge.

He discussed what was wrong with my car and suggested other things my car needed done.  He never talked down to me, was always clear and concise about what he felt needed done and never pressured me to do any of the work.  All the work was done as promised and in almost exactly the time they said it would.  

From the time I called to the time I headed back home was about 3 hours.  I got my oil changed, ignition checked, tire pressure put to spec, topped off all fluids, replaced spark plugs, got my fuel injector cleaned, front and rear brakes cleaned and lubed, battery replaced all for $547.36.

So.  Next time I needed service?  Dennis Hyundai.  Same service from Robert Sprechter, no bs, just a courteous discussion about what needed done without any pressure at all.  And again, all within the time promised.  This time I got the sway bars replaced for $214.56 and I was there an hour and a half total.

I will definitely go back again and again as long as I get the type of service I've been getting.  PS  I live a half hour away from this dealership, two others are actually closer to my home.

LIARS!!!!

They had a van on the lot we went to look at. The sales guy quoted us a price good only for that day. When we came back a couple of hours later, they totally denied the price and then the curmudgeonly finance manager got very rude.

I would not even buy a spare part from them.

I bought a new Sonata from Seth Solis and a used Sonata from Ryan Moore. The Hyundai nameplate used to be a joke, but in the past 5 years their quality has improved markedly to be among the leaders in the J.D. Power rankings. I'd always been a Honda Accord guy, but my Sonata is larger inside, and was about $4500 less. Importantly to me, plenty of leg room front and back.

The service department has always had personable, and I think, straightforward tech advisors that don't act like they're on commission.
My first Sonata is at 120,000 miles, and hasn't missed a beat. I depend on my car for my living, and have been very pleased with the Sonata model. I think it's a great value for the price.

These are my thoughts on the sales department.

You lost a sale by sitting there on your asses while my mother and I walked around looking at cars for (no exaggeration) ten minutes.  No one approached us, no one said hello, no one even smiled.  There were three reps sitting there starring off into space and chatting and only one other customer in the store.

Throw in you 6.9% APR, sub-par deals, and largely boring lineup.....no thanks.  It was fun while the Tiburon lasted.

My Hyundai needed some warranty work done recently so I took it in to Dennis to have it completed. I bought this car at Dennis and 3 other family members also purchased cars there.

The service department is top notch and CLEAN!! Being a grease phobic girl I appreciated this lol. The staff in the service area were all very nice and professional. No one treated me like a stupid female, which I'm not :)

They looked through the computer and found all of the warranty items pertaining to my vehicle and addressed each one. It was given a complete inspection and the service dept alerted me to a belt that needed replaced, a belt that, if left to break, would have taken my engine out. Whew, thank god I was told or I could have had a disaster on my hands.

The work was completed in an afternoon. My only complaint was: whoever serviced the car didn't put a mat protector down and my light taupe mat had grease marks on it as did my dash and hood. I had to shampoo my mat, wash the car and clean the inside-not happy with all that. And last but not least...ewwwww and gross and nasty, my steering wheel was greasy, gag me, I had to clean it too. Guys! Just put down protection, please!

So, all in all, my experience was positive, with the exception of the grease. I will buy my next car from Dennis for sure.
