Stop! Don't even think about it!

If the inkling strikes you to somehow visit Beechmont Subaru for the purposes of either buying a car or visiting the service center, then make your way into your garage, grab the nearest hammer and commence hitting yourself in the face no less than five times. Even if you happen to knock out one or two of your front teeth, I guarantee the pain you feel will be far less than the pain inflicted by dealing with these incapable jamokes. However, if you're really into self-torture and are a bit on the masochistic side, then there's little doubt this dealership is right up your alley.

There are too many complaints to list, but I will say that everyone I've ever dealt with at Beechmont is extremely rude with the exception of my sales guy Joe. And the only thing the guys in the service center excel at is being extremely incompetent and uncommunicative.

I first bought my Outback as a demo, which by law can be sold as "new" as long as mileage is maintained under 10,000 miles. In many cases dealers are willing to give you a little bit of a break on these types of cars because it's slightly used, but not Beechmont. Doing competitive price analysis for "total new" after the fact, I discovered my price was virtually the exact same cost. I know Subarus hold there value really well, but come on.

However, my biggest gripe is with the service center. Multiple trips over the last year for routine maintenance or to fix seemingly easy problems, but they can never seem to get it right. They only look the car over for minutes at most and diagnosis nothing. My most recent service visit was due to my brakes intermittently locking up, which started occurring two weeks earlier right after my 7,500 mile tire rotation and oil change. Took them minutes to come back and tell me that there was nothing wrong. The car is still not right, but I'm resigned to the fact I need to take it elsewhere.

I'm still a pretty big fan of Subaru cars, but beyond fed up dealing with this particular dealership. They just don't seem to fit the overall Subaru ethos!

Similar to what another user reported, I had a horrible experience. I had set up an appointment, they had a list of the cars I was coming to test drive. She texted me right before the appt tio make sure I was still coming. After a 45 minute drive there, I was informed every single one had been sold the day before. Attempting to appear "helpful" and "caring", he said he would contact me if anything with the criteria I was looking for came available... fat chance I will be making that trek again, buddy.

I'm writing this review to give my salesman a shoutout.  If you want to visit this dealership save yourself any heartache and just go straight to Mike Amshoff!  He is the only reason why I am giving this place a 5 star.  I will not call out my first salesmen by name but lets just say that there is a strong reason why I made the unpopular move of switching salesmen.  I was approached by my first salesmen during my impromptu visit.  After test driving the vehicle I sat down with my first salesmen to talk about numbers.  He pretty much said to me that he wasn't planning on budging on the price of the vehicle.  After trying to explain to him how I was uncomfortable with the price he pretty much hurried me out without a flinch.  

Because of this unpleasant experience I gave myself time to think about whether I really wanted this car.  After sleeping on it I went back to the same dealership the next day but this time sat down with Mike.  He was so accommodating and we were able to negotiate a price were both happy with.  Whereas the first salesmen pretty much told me there's NO ROOM for negotiation, Mike didn't hesitate to work with me.  Essentially I got the best car I could find in my budget and didn't feel like I was getting ripped off anywhere else.  

I walked out of the dealership feeling confident I made the right choice.  I loved the vehicle I was getting and was even happier with the friendly service I got.  Following my purchase I saw that the tire had a flat after sitting in my parking lot.  When I shared this with Mike, he worked with his manager to find ways to get my car in right away.  Then he personally came out put on my spare tire for me and worked out a deal so that I could get serviced for my flat tire right away.  I was expecting that they were sending out a mechanic to take care of my flat so this was a huge surprise.  On any given day I'd imagine I would have been furious that with a new vehicle I had so much trouble....but after experiencing Mike's personal dedication to his customers... I am truly happy I met Mike.  Dealing with Mike has made me confident that I've made a good decision coming into the Subaru of Beechmont.  I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new or used car to make sure to meet with Mike Amshoff!!!

I'd give in 3.5 stars if I could. I say that because, lets be honest, most car buying experiences aren't very much fun. I've owned my Forester for over a year now and it's been a great car with no problems. I feel like I should have gotten a better deal when I bought it, but it was my first time buying a car on my own and was naive.

The dealership is very nice with a lounge with coffee, tv, magazines and few computers to use.

I've only used the service for the free oil changes but have called a few times about questions and each time the worker was nice and took the time to answer quetions about the engine.

I'll buy here again when it's time for a new(er) Subaru.

We had an appointment to see a specific car at 10am this morning. The sales guy emailed, called and texted us to confirm our appointment, which we did to all 3. We got a babysitter to come out and see the car to be told that it had sold last night. But then of course no one could be bothered to call us to give a heads up on that. Completely unprofessional and I do not recommend this dealership. What a waste of time.

I want to weigh in on Beechmont, Subaru. I was looking for a nice used vehicle I went there thinking they are a reputable business and wouldn't dare ruin there reputation by selling junk, was I ever wrong!  I test drove the vehicle and it seemed ok but I heard a sound coming from the muffler area and mentioned it. I was told it was the front tire rubbing against the fender well due to them not being the right size tire. They claimed they fixed it by trimming a piece out so it wouldn't rub.  I am driving 2 days later and here the noise again take it to my mechanic who checked and found out it was the muffler heat shield he also noted that the rotors were pitted and warped on all four wheels something that should have been caught on their so called pre inspection.  Total repair cost for muffler and break work was 3,000 dollars. I asked them for assistance for at least the muffler which was $1500. The sales manager Sam who is the invisible man had service offer me $160.00 towards the repair. Tammy from service is the best person they have there for not for her calm demeanor I am not sure what act of violence I may have pulled off. Sam is a true coward he didn't talk to me himself but made others do his dirty work. I will never buy a car from here again and if you know what's good for you stay far away.

Pushy and condescending. This dealership talk themselves out of the sale.
They made a crack at me for being young and kept trying to push more expensive cars on me based on where I was from, despite my obvious and verbalized interests in a used car.
Don't go here if you want to be heard or respected. They're more interested in squeezing you for money, and "playing the game", than selling you a legit vehicle.

Most people I know are excited at the prospect of having a new car.

Nobody I know looks forward to the process of narrowing the choices available, negotiating price, locating the exact model chosen, and finally, buying a new car.

But, Subaru of Beechmont was a real pleasure to deal with on both a personal and professional level, from the first time I walked onto their lot, until the moment when I drove away in my new 2014 Forester.

My partner throughout the process was David Clarke, a salesman with many years experience. David was incredibly responsive to every phone call, text or email from me, even on his day's off!

The price negotiation was swift, fair and truthful - with no surprises at any point. Once I chose the exact model and options I wanted, the final step was finding me that vehicle. The fastest option was a vehicle which would arrive in about a week.

Suddenly, the 2001 car I was driving had unexpected transmission problems!

Since my Subaru was due to be delivered in about a week, I rented a car to get to and from work.

As happens, my new Subaru was going to be delayed for a couple of days, and when the Sales Manager, Bill heard I was driving a rental, he offered me a loaner to drive for a day or two, because of the slight delay! Wow!

I researched my purchase over many months, and chose the Forester over several similar competitors, due mainly to my test drives, but also the many positive reviews.

I have not used the Service Dept. at Subaru of Beechmont yet.

But, I can wholeheartedly recommend David Clarke and Subaru of Beechmont if you want to experience car buying the way you hope it should be.

The Service Department at Beechmont Subaru is terrible. The service writer, Rob Harley, favorite comment is "I don't think" or "I try not to think"... and it shows in his customer focus. It probably also is a reflection of the technicians there too. Three trips there for the same problem, $1500 of my money and the car still doesn't run. Despite reassurances from Rob the problem is fixed, it is not. Despite reassurances he'd take care of it if it did it again, he would not. The car wouldn't go more than 24hrs before failing for the same reason. Despite being the experts, these guys are clueless.

If you looked up the definition of "Stealership", it probably has Beechmont Subaru's picture in it. They certainly epitomize where that term might have come from.

Can you feel the Love? It's what makes Subaru a Subaru. I certainly felt it.

I won't go back even for the free oil drive all the way to Florence...and pay for it...they replaced my headliner under warranty...after trying not to, got it back with greasy handprints on every square inch of my 3 month old car, they offered to have it detailed, got it back and was still greasy, my air bags disconnected under my seat, floorboard full of water and they got in my trunk and stole items I had in there from moving, contacted subaru of America, did nothing...never once in all my years have I been treated this way from any will be very sorry if you take your car there...I look at the grease stains every day in my first new car I ever bought and think about this....

I go to this car dealership to get my oil changed. Normally, I have a great experience there. It takes a while to go all the way out to Anderson, and it takes a while for them to change my oil, but they always treat my car extremely well, and it never costs me a cent. They're on top of all required maintenance and tell me when I need my tires rotated or brakes checked. They are not friendly, but they are extremely professional and efficient. And they have a relatively nice waiting room with free (not delicious, but FREE) coffee and tea. Overall, I've gotten good work done in their waiting room while my car is worked on, and been wholly satisfied.

Until last week. An appointment that was supposed to take one hour took two, and I was really irritated that no one bothered to come tell me it would be twice as long as I'd originally been quoted. As a result, I missed another meeting. This will not keep me from going back, but in future, I will be careful to check on timing and ask them to notify me if my car will be longer than 45 minutes.
