History

Established in 1991.

Mark Sweeney was born into a legendary automotive family where his grandfather, Walt Sweeney Sr. was known as the first used car dealer in Cincinnati. In 1991 Mark opened his first dealership in Cincinnati under the name, Walt Sweeney Pontiac-GMC. Not long after Mark acquired the Buick franchise in 2005 following the death of Cincinnati icon Marge Schott, he opened our current location on Highland Avenue in October of 2007. We are now conveniently located just 2 exits South of Kenwood Mall in a beautiful brand new dealership. We are here for all of your automotive needs!

I called the service group to see if they had the parts in stock to service my 3500 duramax truck,   they said they needed the last 8 of the VIN. I said I didn't have on hand and asked if they could just look it up my make/model year and they just hung up the phone without saying another word.

Called up Jake Sweeney and had no issues, so I'm just going there even though its a longer drive.

My left rear mirror was broken the week before Christmas.  I drove to Mark Sweeney to get an estimate.  Dave, in the service department, met me as I stepped out of the truck, knew my name and asked what happened.  He then ordered the parts and told me he would call.  He called me on his day off, the week of Christmas, to advise the parts had arrived.  The week of New Year's the team completed the repair and my truck showed up cleanly washed.  I really enjoy giving my business, my second GMC, and my service to a dealer that knows my name, values my business and stays on top of all the details.

My experience at Mark Sweeney was unbelievable.  I've been leasing cars for 15 years in several states and have never been given such royal treatment.  Scott Sweeney personally went above and beyond to ensure my experience was second to none.  Not only did he find me the perfect vehicle that met all my needs but he facilitated the turn in of my prior vehicle with a "no hassle" experience.  Because of his (and the dealerships) VIP customer service, I didn't even consider straying from GMC even though there were other options.  We love our new vehicle and we love Mark Sweeney GMC.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change online.  I arrived at the service bay and pulled my car into the service entrance.  I was greeted politely after a few minutes,  I waited for my car to be finished, paid, and left.  My only suggestions would be to greet the customer within 1 or 2 minutes of them arriving and increase amenities in the waiting room to stay on-par with other dealerships in the area.

I had a 15 year relationship with Sam Swope and they just dropped the ball, found a car here online, drove an hour and a half to this place and they really went out their way to work with us on price, and bought my car off me and saved us the hassle of dealing with that, too.

I had great expectations for this place. Ken, my sales guy, while acting like he didn't have high expectations for us buying, still found us a great car, that has been sitting in the back side of the lot. It seemed that most people had forgotten about it. It was a great car, let me take it out on a test drive by myself.

He seemed a little more no-haggle, but it was already a great price for it. We sat down, to get some credit check info, but of course it was after 5 so it would take another day to hear something. He did call me the next day, but needed pay stub copies, as my co-signer had only been at his job 5 months. I faxed them over, and then talked to him the next day to find out that he got them and was working on it.

And that was the last I heard... Other than that, they were one of the best places I stopped at.
