History

Established in 1980.

Plaza Auto Mall teamed up with Building Homes for Heroes to celebrate USMC Sergeant Greg Caron! On November 12, 2011, USMC Sergeant Greg Caron was on patrol in the Southern Marjah area of Afghanistan searching known Taliban compounds. Sergeant Caron was severely wounded when an IED exploded. He lost both legs, immediately, and received a critical wound to the brachial artery of his right arm. He is still recovering at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Building Homes for Heroes recently announced the Caron family as a home recipient. On September 21, 2013, Plaza Auto Mall along with the Marines and the T. Kang Taekwondo group gathered for an on-site celebration at Plaza. We donated a total of $5000 to Sergeant Caron through the Building Homes for Heroes foundation and he will be receiving a new mortgage free home.

After a recent horrendous experience with a sneaky used car dealership in Queens (let's not even talk about it), this place was truly a breath of fresh air. I honestly can't understand where all the negative reviews are coming from. I got an amazing deal on a brand new 2014 car and I had an easy experience on top of that.

A friend of my fiancé's highly recommended Plaza Toyota and assured us that it would be worth the drive over (we live in NJ). I was hesitant, but it was WELL worth it. I was helped by Jeffery & Thomas who were both incredibly helpful. They answered all of my questions honestly and didn't try to pressure/upsell me into getting something that I didn't want. I don't think I've ever had an easier time buying a car (although picking the color gave me a little anxiety, lol).

My poor fiancé is having serious car envy right now but on the plus side, these guys just earned two life-long customers. It's a little far from home, but it was totally worth the distance. I got a great deal, a fantastic car (love, love, love my heated seats and rear view camera) and over-the-top service. This is a staff that genuinely cares that you leave happy ... a rare find in the auto industry. Thanks guys!

THE WORST.....the manager didn;t seem to give  a s_ _t  about our potential purchase. the sales person was high pressured with no understanding of the psychology of spending outright cash to buy a new car.  second bad experience with this dealership. we  walked out,  never looked back and there was not even a follow up phone call.  if you want a toyota, and a good experience, go to bay ridge toyota

My husband and I made an Internet inquiry about a couple of vehicles available at Plaza Honda. We received a prompt response from Kimberly Torres, Internet Sales Consultant, who responded to our inquiry via email and offered to help us in any way she could.

Kimberly also made herself readily available via phone and offered to set an appointment for us to come in and test drive the vehicles. She was nothing but kind and accommodating.

At our scheduled time, Kimberly welcomed us personally and made the in-person introduction to Danny Cossack, Sales & Leasing Consultant, who took over the process. Danny had such a mild manner with us, absolutely no pressure, and was very patient as we test drove and researched multiple vehicles.

Once we decided on the vehicle we purchased, Danny took us through the process without any issue. He was very good about keeping us informed and didn't waste any of our time. As he was working on processing all of our paperwork, Kimberly would stop by occasionally, checking in on us and ensuring we were having a positive experience. We could not have asked for nicer people to deal with.

When the car was inspected, plates installed and registration processed, Danny took us through all of the in-car technology and thoroughly explained the features -- he even setup my iPhone for the Bluetooth capabilities before I left the dealership.

From start to finish, our Plaza Honda experience was  positive, and I can't help but thank Kimberly & Danny for all of their stellar customer service!

I bought a used vehicle here once.  Key word, once.  I will NEVER go there again.  Staff was insanely rude and unhelpful.  I went up one night during the week and made a deal.  We settled on a price before they closed and they said they couldn't write up the paperwork that night and that I'd have to come back the next day.  I live in Philly so this was a drive, but it was the only car within reasonable driving distance and was fully loaded for a really good price.  They actually wouldn't write up the paperwork and they knew I was from Philly.  Incredible.  When I got there the next day it took 6 hours to get the car, no kidding.  They tried to charge me more, but stated that they would send me a check in the mail to reimburse me for the overage.  Uh, no.  I made them charge me what was agreed like any normal human being.  Because I made them do that they made me wait an insane amount of time.  I had to continually walk up to the sales manager's desk to get him to actually do something for me.  I've done a ton of negotiating in my life and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had buying something.  The price was good though.  Lesson: don't buy cars out of state.  Definitely don't go to a used car dealer in New York...that has to be a double negative.  They don't care about you at this dealership.

You go to the dealer for a high level of service.  I was once pressured (in a moment of weakness) to get an engine flush. Luckily they didn't pressure me for another unnecessary service like an engine shampoo! I've asked them to rotate my tires on several occasions. But, the last time I honestly noticed they didn't do it at all.  God knows if they have ever changed my oil...no more.

Review Negative 5 Stars! Oil Change and tire rotation took 2 hours and 15 minutes. The plastic molding on the  bottom of the drivers door was knocked loose. The undercoating was peeled off where the hydraulic jack touched the undercarriage. The car was not wiped down grease hand prints all over the drivers door. The mechanics were standing around doing nothing but entertaining friends like it was siesta time on the Islands. Never again just one big mess. Stay clear of this place go elsewhere !!!

Bought a groupon for here a month or so ago for an inspection.  Made an appointment which happened to be the last day of my inspection which made me nervous but figured I'd be fine. Called the day before to confirm appointment and woman on phone seemed confused because I had a Kia (understandably but it's just an inspection and groupon had no brand restrictions). She said I was good and so today I drove the 45 min down here.

Got here and guy at service bay said they couldn't help me because their systems had been down since Tuesday. It's Saturday. He said "I don't know why they aren't telling anyone" (how many ppl showed up for worthless appts?) and to me to try down the street at a gas station.  I'm so pissed but figure I'll complain to groupon later to get my money back.

Go to gas stAtion and they say they're closing.  It starts to occur to me.... Do they expect me to just drive around or call around on the off chance someone can get me in on a Saturday afternoon?  Try calling plaza toyota and first I was cut off mid sentence and placed on hold then I called again and just sat on hold til I got pissed off and just drove here.

Very nice gentleman in the parts dept was sympathetic and told me to talk to santos the service manager (?).  Santos tells me that I'm essentially screwed and to call around. Not one shred of compassion or the smallest attempt at customer service.  Right then and there I knew I'd never buy a car from these guys. (I was planning on looking around at the acuras as I waited)

Returned to nice guy at parts desk who disappeared then told me to pull my car in and my buddy santos would take care of it.  They set me up at the Honda service dept across the street. Awesome. Only santos was pissy and seemed mad when he saw I had a Kia. Said why would you even come here with a Kia?  Ridiculous. It's a fucking inspection ya jerk!  Grrr

So long story somewhat shorter the super nice service writer Marty hooked me up and smoothed things over and now I'm waiting. Arrived here an hour ago. I'll update if it takes too long.

But do not buy a groupon for here or come for service!  Not until they get someone who gives a shit about customer service.

Yes, it's getting done and I appreciate the apologies and the eventual service but if the groupon is not for non toyota cars or non dealer customers it should say so. Everyone is so confused (and in santos' case) even hostile that I brought a Kia here.   There seem to be communication issues that management needs to handle

Horrible dealership. Before I bought my car (from another dealership) I scheduled a test drive. When I got there they didn't have the car on the lot and tried talking me into a yaris. Brought my prius c there Toyota care and they are very unfriendly and could care less about your business. I suggest going elsewhere

What they care most about is you rateing them excellent. They will spend more time on that then telling you about the car.
I got ripped off of $500 when I bought a car there a couple of years ago. There was a $500 manufactures rebate which I wasn't told about during the negotiations.
I sent a email to them when I found out about the rebate. They never replied.
Lost a good customer who always buys Toyota.

Same experience then Renata. Made an appointment. Car was not there. They didn't even get what car we wanted to test drive. Then it took Nana about 40 min and in the end he wasn't able to even figure out the price for the trim we wanted or tell us what was part of that trim. All over a was of 1.5 hours wast of my wife's, our child's and my time. They shouldn't even be in business that is how bad they are. Ended up buying at Westbury Toyota.

Called the showroom and had Kelly schedule a test drive there. We just returned back home without a test drive. We went there at 4:30pm and they had no clue who Kelly was or whether we had an appointment or not. A guy by the name Nana said I'll go to our storage, located a block and a half away, to see if they have Prius 3. 40 minutes later there was no sign of his return. We got into our car and went to that storage lot to discover that Nana was leisurely chatting with another worker.

This was our first and last experience with Plaza Toyota.

I was surprised when I read the negative reviews.  I had never owned a non-American car before in my life. I was very hesitant and nervous when I bought my first Japanese car at Plaza Toyota, but I've been very pleased ever since. The car runs and handles beautifully.  The salesman named Frank was very pleasant and patient, answering all our questions without being pushy. I cannot say that the price was a "bargain" but it was a fair price.

Also, I have been back to Plaza Toyota periodically for routine repairs and maintenance such as oil changes.  I have always found the staff to be pleasant and professional.  Repairs are done in a timely manner.  The waiting room is very nice, complete with restrooms, televisions and, at times, donuts and coffee.

I recommend Plaza Toyota for both car purchases and repairs.

RIP OFF REPAIRS.  You go in for an oil change, they slash the transmission seals and charge you $400 to replace them.  BEWARE.  CROOKS.

Too bad there aren't any 0 or 1/2 stars because this dealer doesn't even deserve one.  Went in person, what a waste of time.  If you ever call to inquire about a car...don't give them your number.  They will call you unnecessarily even after you tell them which car you're interested in.  Even send you false emails telling you the car you're interested in is available, when actually it not.  I wonder if they have any Better Business complaints...they have to.  They are beyond unprofessional and full of lies.

Do not get your service done at this location. They ate thieves! I brought my car in for a recall and I then i get my car back, my glasses are out of my center counsel and my iPhone car charger was missing. Do yourself a favor and check your things before you leave! Do no trust these people!!!!!
